Sweet Paradise

Wow I love this fragrance I haven't tested it against Scarlet Poppy but this one is amazing in its own right... It's a sweet light modern floral with the barley note which gives it kind of a cereal milk vibe.. it's not gourmand or overly floral but it's just a very feminine beautiful unique fragrance. This could definitely be signature scent worthy for somebody. No it's not in your face like the other gourmands but if you're tired of those kind of over the top vanilla caramel perfumes nowadays and want something a little softer and more elegant give this one a try Edit: ok I have now tested against Scarlet Poppy intense and while they are similar Scarlet poppy has more of a fresh floral opening that balance is the sweetness.. Versus Sweet Paradise which pretty much go straight into the sweetened cereal lactonic. I can see the resemblance to Dove macadamia nut and rice body scrub but with less nuttiness. I can see why some people might find this a little cloying just because there is no freshness in the way that Scarlet poppy has. I do still think it's lovely though and this type of perfume could be layered easily also. This also smells quite a bit like the new Bath and body works milk scent although this one is much smoother. I also think this has good longevity I don't know why people say it disappears after 2 hours I find it last at least four. Maybe some maceration is needed.

As an avid lover of scarlet poppy, I can happily say that this is almosttttt a spot on dupe. The difference is that sweet paradise is much nuttier and soapy in my opinion. It's as though they cranked up the barley note in this perfume. Though, on the dry down it is almost identical. My bottle is new so I can't wait to see how it will transform as it macerates. This perfume is an acquired taste much like scarlet poppy. Super creamy, powdery and floral (the sweet kind of floral). I love it so much and I'm so glad I don't have to spend 200€ on the original. Not many will love her because she's not the typical sickly sweet crowd pleaser gourmand; but those who get it, get it and those who don't dont :) 10/10 edit: compared it to scarlet poppy and i def smell the difference. this is still very yummy but scarlet poppy reigns superior. the original is much more floral and just more nicely blended imo. i would definitely spend the money on the original if i have it rather than this. however, not a bad dupe if you really love SP. sweet paradise smells like someone tried to replicate SP based on their memory. update: i cant stand this anymore lol

You have to like powdery skin scents in order to get along with this perfume. It is quite sweet, feminine, soft and comforting with a bit of vintage nostalgia. This has that powdery makeup scents. I feel this is the type of scent you wear with a fuzzy mohair sweater in the end of winter when you are waiting for springtime. The barley accord is really interesting, but I can smell it in paper, on my skin it just becomes part of the skin scent. If you like Narciso Poudree, you will probably like this one as well.

Fluffy and clean- think freshly washed towels. There’s a notion of “hotel lobby vanilla” (which I am particularly fond of) but this smells like the actual hotel linen/towels of that hotel. This fragrance is creamy, mostly in a floral orris way. Some people mention milk, but if there’s any milk I’d think more an oat milk. A subtle waft of fresh peaches with grounding of hints of tonka. This is a “pilates princess” style fragrance. Non offensive, skin like and ever so creamy/lotion-esk. Addictive. “Wifey”.

This smells like a milky barley - based dessert in Asia. A comforting ambrette and musk and barley are dominant. The dry down is a comforting vanilla and deep earthy orris. This is not a sweet girly vanilla dessert scent - this is an intriguing barley milk that is interesting enough to be a scent for an intellectual lady who travels a lot and has a discerning palette.

I have it for quite some time now and I am obsessed! it's probably one of my favourite. I love the light sweetness combined with the powdery notes and the cereal kind of feel... I struggle to describe it but the ones who have it will - hopefully - know what I mean. Please I am looking for recommendation with similar profile !

Grandma’s milky bath water, but you love it!! Creamy, powdery, sweet florals. So soft and smooth. But my favourite part is the subtle nutty note, maybe it’s the ambrette?Layer this with Hypnotic Vanilla by Zara.. amazing!! Perfect clean and cozy out of the shower scent.

One of my favorite scents, cozy and comforting. Smells like the best body lotion. Makes me want to cuddle up. French Avenue scents are my favorites, but this one exceeded my expectations.

This is a soft, feminine, cozy vanilla that feels comforting, with a subtle hint of peach giving it a dreamy, gentle sweetness. It smells like someone who naturally smells good just soft, clean, and inviting. As it dries down, a gentle vanilla comes through alongside a deeper, earthy orris that adds elegance and depth. Soft touches of peach and mandarin peek through, blended with a clean musk. There’s also a subtle milky barley note that smells like warm cereal or steamed milk, giving it a cozy, comforting feel. It has a slight soapiness, similar to a creamy milk bath or freshly applied lotion. It gives off the vibes of a softly scented hotel lobby clean, calming, and quietly luxurious. It's a nice everyday scent for when you want something soft and put-together. It works for the office, subtle, and inoffensive. And lovely after a shower or before bed. 6/10 Sillage 6/10 Longevity 7/10

This has a really interesting chewy quality from that barley note. Aside from that though, this smells almost exactly like those Marks and Spencers Percy Pig sweets. I do kinda like it though, it's comforting and a bit nostalgic. Poor sillage and longevity currently, unless massively over-spraying. Edit: it's been nearly a month and the top notes last for much longer and the sillage is now moderate for most of the wear time which is up to 6 to 8 hours now. Like this perfume more than I thought I would and I wear it around the house surprisingly often. Also it layers so damn nicely with La Fin Du Monde and Celebrate For Her, too.

I can see this one being popular with an East Asian Market. It is a very light,musky, comforting, pillowy, powdery, Orris heavy scent with the intriguing barley note and the tiniest hints of peach and mandarin. This is not too sweet to my nose, maybe even a little savoury. Dreamy. Like sniffing a powdery peach mochi. A pyjama/Sunday frag for me. I'm happy with it as a blind buy but I'm not sure that it would be a crowd pleaser for everyone.

Not exactly a 'clean' fragrance, but there's something reminiscent of vintage soap. It's a good bedtime scent; florals on a creamy, powdery base with a dash of understated vanilla. Not as sweet as the name and bottle imply, although the dry down does give marshmallow. I think it fits a personality that's sweet but reserved and rather elegant.

all the bellow descriptions are accurate. Smells like grandmas soapy bath, a cute girl working in a bakery, a pampered papillon dog, some sort of rice body scrub. Generally I would say it is an acceptable perfume to wear but nothing outstanding. I like this one more than Luscious and Meringue by far but that aint sayin much

Sweet Paradise is basically Scarlet Poppy. The resemblance is uncanny, same plush floral sweetness (gorgeous!) - but at least this one hangs around a bit longer before fading into polite irrelevance. Slightly better than the Jo Malone original, though that’s not saying much.

Oh this has been an interesting experience. It opens up soapy but then it turned salty on me almost in a caramel way. So far I like it. A bit strong but not too much.

I'm stunned, this scent is identical to Dove's Crushed Macadamia and Rice Milk body scrub, a favourite of mine! Not sure I’d want to smell like it all day tho. It can be a bit much. The opening notes are spot on, emitting a creamy, milky, nutty, and barley-like aroma. Over time, it evolves into a musky and slightly powdery fragrance, still dominated by sweetened milky barley. I don’t believe this to be a close dupe for Scarlet Poppy. In fact, they open very different, not even close. The dry down though, I'd say is only 65-70% similar. Currently, it lacks the sweet and sparkly notes, particularly the fig and cherry-like accents that make Scarlet shine. This is less sweet and more earthy compared to that. However, I see potential and am eager to revisit this scent after a few weeks to see if it matures and closes the gap between the two. This also smells more like a body wash/ body lotion than a perfume. I really hoped this had a fig note, oh well. Edit: Ended up decluttering this. Something about this was extremely nauseating and unwearable. I did a side by side comparison with Scarlet too and this smelt quite awful. Not sure how everyone else got a 1:1 dupe out of this. Perhaps I got a bad bottle? 🤷🏽♀️

I bought this because I love Scarlet Poppy but I gotta be honest.. For me it’s 100% worth buying the real thing! It’s absolutely similar but this lacks all the magic that Jo Malone has created!

I received my bottle a couple of days ago, and I was so excited for this one—but unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. After the initial alcohol blast, there’s an overpowering green note that’s not listed anywhere in the notes. It’s like drowning that green note in milk, which feels oddly unsettling. Then comes a faint Nivea/Dove body product scent that might have been nice if it weren’t completely overshadowed by the green-lactonic vibe, which comes off as almost spoiled to my nose. There’s nothing gourmand about this, no matter how hard I tried to find it. Longevity isn’t great either. The drydown after 1-2 hours is somewhat redeeming, giving off a pleasant body lotion or milky shower gel vibe, but it’s still nothing sweet or special. Sadly, French Avenue missed the mark with this one. I should’ve gone with Luscious or Meringue instead. Oh well, you win some, you lose some!

If you're blind-buying hoping for a dupe of Scarlet Poppy, please don't. Scarlett Poppy is magnificent and delicious. This? Just another cloying, cheap smelling mess like all the other arabian dupes flooding the market at the moment.

Smelled this and Scarlett poppy. Didnt like this at all, although Scarlett poppy was okay(not for me though). This is a less blended/smooth version of Scarlett poppy..
