Veneno Scarlet

Being away from the fragrance world for years, then, as it happens, - things go pear-shaped, and you ending up with a hundred of blind buys through the post. Yeah, we are like that, not take-aways or new bags, - new bottles to spray everywhere. Whilst most of the Arabic scents highly recommended by Youtubers and Tiktokers left me in total anosmic amusement and disappointment, - some will be keepers. Veneno Scarlet is one of those successful, yet unexpected loves. It arrived amongst others ten, that I was not even able to smell or describe without looking into notes. Then I took this red bottle and the day became less worthless. What I was expecting is to keep "red snakes" in my Antique bureau for display, because surely, like all others, it will be unsignificant mess of atificially smelling fruits, berries, whatever. Yet...I have got candied patchouli with leather in a manner of old juice in Visa 2007 by Piguet and dusted by time strawberry from a damn gothic vampire diaries. Almost apothecary deep opening...Like you enter through that heavy door somewhere in Sicily to get yourself some herbs from the old guy who owns this place for generations, the sun rays jump on the squeeky floor, you see rows and rows of old bottles and potions, you enhale all that goodness, feeling the Atmosphere creeping at you. At the drydown sweet resinous fir is more pronounced and woody. I guess we have found each other. One gem per ten trivial ones, - I can live with that. The question is now, whether is Black Veneno will be for me too

Well colour me shocked I’ve fallen in love with this. I am not a huge fan of leather in fragrances I just don’t tend to get along with them but I decided to try a decant of this and was very pleasantly surprised. This is a compliment magnet and a great performer scent wise. It lasted all day and for the price I don’t think you can go wrong. The leather is done really well and takes a bit of a back seat whereas the fruit and vanilla caramel complement each other really well. This is one I have naughtily upgraded to full bottle status and I have no regrets

This is a dark spicy and smoked cherry perfume. Mostly for night time. At first spray it is heavy on the smokiness/leather but after it sits for a bit more sweetness come through. It is not a sweet one though. It is unisex for sure. Maybe it needs to macerate for a while and then it will be different. I would love if it was a tad more sweet so that it is unmistakeably feminine leaning. Update: it's been a few hours, lasting power is amazing and the dry down is also addicting and the more the time passes the better it gets. Good 😊

This was a blind buy after the social media hype on the berries. Packaging is stunning. The fragrance is like nothing I had smelled before. Fell in love with it immediately. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments wearing it. It’s true it can lean a bit synthetic in the opening but it dries down exquisitely. Longevity is impressive, both on skin and on clothes. If you are a man into gourmands and want an intriguing and perplexing fragrance, you’ll enjoy it and will get a lot of compliments.

Recomendado 8/10 es una compra a ciegas. Totalmente unisex incliinado un poco a lo femenino. No he olido la fragancia original que se inspira sin embargo este Veneno Scarlet se me hace un leve parecido a Marwa de Prestige es como si existiera una versión de ese perfume ultra femenina, no jabonosa ni tan potente. Esta fragancia se siente algo ligeramente herbal, con un twist bastante femenino, frutado de cóctel y un cuero decente. En lo personal me gustó la fragancia sólido 8/10

One of my favourite fragrances for the cold weather. Performance 100/10 for women only not suitable for men, in my opinion. يعني مش عارفة اقول عنه ايه رائحة فواكه حمراء مسكرة بالذات فراولة وباتشولي وجلد، رائحة امرأة ناضجة عارفة هية بتعمل ايه .. اختيار ممتاز غير مناسب للفتيات تحت ٢٥ سنة، عطر ثقيل شتوي شيك جدا له شخصية واضحة واداء فوق الممتاز وبيلزق في الملابس لدرجة اضطريت اخبي الملابس في الدولاب عشان زهقت من التصاق الرائحة فيها فوحان متوسط لكن ثبات قوي جدا.

Beautiful and seductive. Smells like Mixed Berries with hints of vanilla and leather. Fantastic. Very good projection. Longevity yet to be tested but two hours in and it’s going pretty well so far so I think it will be a decent-good performer. Gets really close to the original with the obvious quality difference due to the price difference but I can settle with this given the price difference. 9/10.

Love at first whiff !! This perfume reminds me a lot of Tokyo Nights by D'Annam but with fizzy cola notes. It is beast mode, I wouldn't spray more than 2 sprays personally. It`s strong on the berries and the alchohol the first minute of the opening but settles into a very seductive boozy cola and berries scent. Definitely for the colder seasons.

I have to edit my original review to say that this is addictive. I've grown to love this one and appreciate how unique it is. Strong, fruity, spicy, dark. This lasts forever and is very noticeable to others. I wouldn't say it's blind buy safe but wow it smells incredible. Not your typical berry fragrance.

Just bought it 2 days ago. It is a strawberry fruity fragrance. EXTREMELY STRONG, one of the strongest I've ever tried. Can say unisex, but on a friend of mine's skin is very feminine. Most of us, a group of fragheads, love it. Works best in spring, fall.

This smells just like the OG! In the air you would never know it's not. It's a HUGE compliment getter and sillage beast. I'm so happy I won't have to spend another $200 on the 30 ml bottle of Venom Incarnate again. LOVE ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Once you’ve picked yourself up off the floor after your test spray and it’s dried down a little then you begin to understand the composition. Mine was produced in Sept 2025 so it’s not straight off the line. This fragrance is STRONG 💪🏼, definitely NOT blind buy safe. But.... I like it! Upon first spray you would be forgiven for thinking this is a medicinal cherry affair but on drying down you start to get the strawberry note, and the blackberry and the raspberry. You can also very distinctly pick up the fir and cedar notes, the caramel is offering a tiny bit of sweetness and of course the leather is pulling it all together also, If you do not like Patchouli this frag will probably not be for you as the patchouli is very earthy and prevalent, but it is what gives this fragrance that mysterious edge. This is not a gourmand or sweet fragrance either, it’s spicy, complex and definitely unisex but to me just leaning a little more female. And the presentation and bottle👌 This is an autumn and winter scent for sure and one for the evenings. It’s giving Little Red Riding Hood in a moonlit pine forest and the plot twist is that SHE is the villain, not the wolf! Very dark, very seductive and mysterious. Femme Fatale on steroids! 💋🫦💄🧛♀️

dont be fooled by the light fruit and gourmand notes in this and overspray it, the berries in this are dense to the point i dont even spray in front of myself, but rather on the sides and back of my neck. opening is a little synthetic and headache inducing but it becomes so much better after about 30 minutes on the skin. also i feel like this is blended beautifully for the price youre paying, i cant even differentiate any of the notes in the pyramid. safe blind buy 8/10

My first from the line. The notes and bottle spoke to me, so I blind bought it! It’s definitely a unique and new scent to me, I’m still tryna understand it. It kinda smells like a berry mojito to me.

Smells like a very strong red berry mix with leather!! For me this is a winter day/night fragrance. NOT for summer, it’s too thick. Would work perfect on a very cold winter day. Unisex. I like it.

A dark fruity scent with "forest aromas". For me personally, it's definitely not a safe blind buy. It's a mature scent and the sexy bottle matches what's inside.

I like it. Fruity, woody and leather. I think it leans masculine. Great for cooler weather. Day or night because of the versatility.

I have to start my review with comparing this to the original it was supposed to be duping Venom Incarnat. Whilst not a big fan of VI either as its kinda failing to deliver what it wants to be it's still kinda interesting but I would not consider it a sexy perfume as most influencers do.... it wants to be fruity but also dark and mysterious but also kinda sexy and interesting and it ends up messy and confusing . As a dupe Veneno Scarlet has about 80% similarity with the OG both in smell alike and perfomance as that one is moderate at best. When I first received this it was a major dissapointment it straight up smells like a fruity soda reminiscing of some sort of berries that was left inside an old car with leather seats.Forward to a few months later its beginning to develop and have a better similarity to the original as in the leather and patchouli finally begin to show up, however the leather is very synthetic and weird smelling at least the patchouli creates an interesting dark vibe sorta kinda, I also have to point out the note that will put off a lot of people and that is caramel....I don't why this not will either make or break a fragrance and in most cases it just ruins the entire thing...this is a similar case especially before it "macerates" as the caramel smells incredibly synthetic and cheap like an expired candy found at the bottom of a leather purse. To conclude the review I would not opt for the original since both share the same synthetic notes and for the price difference SHL has better options but beware this is a case of arabian house dupe where you have to buy this spray it and then forget it at the back of your closet for half an year....

Mmm... this perfume really puzzles me. When I see notes like raspberry, I expect something fruity, juicy, maybe even playful — but nope. Not here... This raspberry struts into a dark, exclusive cocktail bar, VIP-only, low lights, no small talk — and all the other notes cling to it like a tight cabaret corset.Verryyy sweet and piercingly tart. It's sweet not in a childish way. It’s a dark, mature, nostalgic sweetness, with a strong vintage vibe, reminiscent of old-school perfumes, think early Chloé era. just like true vintage fragrances. This onr is insanely strong — honestly, I’d even say this is the strongest scent in my collection right now. I can’t deny it — wearing this feels like a journey. It pulls you in and then spits you out. One moment I’m obsessed with this trickster, the next I want to wash it off. To be continued... Vibe: Very feminine Seasons: Cold weather only, preferably at night Monster performer Room filler ...I can’t even start... Use with caution — one spritz and you take over the room.

Its nice, not bad at all, but it is often described as sexy, misterios, winter scent, dark. What???? Absolutely not to my nose. It literally smells like Kool-aid. I get NO leather at all ( i like leather smell) Its fun and playful and good for summer. Very sweet & citric strawberry scent. To me it doesn't smell expensive. Someone said it smells like Sugar Leather perfume (which I have) NOT AT ALL. Sugar leather is way more sophisticated, sugar leather is BEAUTIFUL sensual and sexy scent. May be veneno will change over time. Bottle and box are STUNNING This was a blind buy, if I had smelled a sample I would Not have purchase. But got it on a sale in Fragance buy for CAD$55, for the price Im not mad. I have never smelled OG so I cant compare.

This is slightly different to what I normally go for in a fragrance, but the notes sounded so intriguing, I love berry notes and the bottle is gorgeous, so I had to blind buy it. And Im glad I did. This is stunning! The berries are juicy and the woody/mossy notes ground it so it doesnt become a flat middle of the road fruity scent, and the base notes add a depth to it. And the leather...OMG. I have now learned that leather is my Achillies heal in fragrance. I am so addicted to it, it smells so seductive to me, and it works beautifully in this. If this gets even better over time, I'm excited.

I blind bought this thinking it would be all sexy berries and femme fatale-esque fruits...but it’s not. Somehow, it’s better than I was expecting. On me it’s ‘clean’ leather with tart berries. There’s very little sweetness here and the cedar and slight spice in the background means the fruitiness doesn’t lean feminine. It lasts ages on me and it’s loud. I cannot complain about the performance. All in all, a lot of perfume for the price. Edit: oh wait...the longer this sits, the less I like it. Something too musty and ‘off’.

I don't know how I feel about this. I'll see if I reach for it in winter. It's nice and interesting but it's not my vibe. Might have to gift it or something. It's dark enough for a dude but depending on your skin it can swing either way so clothes might be your only option if you're a dude. Not blind buy safe.

This smells like Coca-cola. Like a Cherry pepsi. Dense, sweet and medicinal. The dry down becomes like a leather blanket. Like those brand new leather purses or the smell of a brand new leather seats car. Def not for everyone and masculine leaning. it does fill a whole room tho.

What a wonderful list of perfume notes and that's where it ends. Just pleasing to the eye, not at all to the smell. Don't buy blindly.

Every day I trust TikTok influencers less. This perfume was hyped, it caught me... To my nose, this literally smells like bug spray mixed with expired strawberry jelly and wood. I wish I was exaggerating, but I’m not. It’s a very strange combination , sharp, chemical, and with that sour, spoiled fruity vibe that just doesn’t sit right. It feels extremely unbalanced. The notes don’t blend well together at all. It’s like they tried really hard to mix leather with something fruity, and it just completely failed. There’s no harmony, just a clash of ideas that never come together. French Avenue definitely tried something bold here, but this one missed the mark for me. I even let it sit for 5 months to see if it would improve... gave it multiple chances... and nope. Still smells like straight-up bug spray with that sour, rotten jelly twist. Longevity is terrible. I barely get 2 hours, even with heavy overspraying. Projection is weak, and it disappears fast. The only good thing? The bottle. It’s actually beautiful and well made.😍✨ Longevity: 2/10 Sillage: 3/10 Originality: 0/10 Bottle: 9/10 Final thought: You could probably kill a cockroach with this.

Just received iti in the mail. It's dense fruit with stale leather and a fart on top. Major disappointment. I'll let it macerate for a couple of months.

Smells like old powdery perfume with bug spray 😅

The berries are way to dense for my liking, smells like spoiled jam in a Limo. Definitely not a blind buy safe fragrance.

This one took me by surprise. Thought it would be a fruity, fresh and sweet gourmand. Not a chance. Pretty dark smelling to me, it must be the fir, patchouli and leather combo that gives it an unexpected earthiness and depth. To my nose, this is a spot on ‘inspired by’ effort. The strawberry isn’t quite as convincingly realistic as the SHL og but it’s decent enough. Definitely a good performer. Strong silage and longevity on my skin 8+ hours. I’d give this a solid 8. My main problem would be when are you meant to wear it? I tend to associate fruity with warmer months - this is an autumn/winter scent and a night time one at that. Do I want to smell of dark fruits on a night out? Maybe not too often but I do like it.

Undoubtedly a feminine fragrance -- I'm surprised French Avenue classified this as unisex. I know fragrance has no gender but FA also does produce fragrances marketed strictly for women -- so sometimes marketing certain types of fragrances as unisex can be confusing. This should have been one of those scents strictly marketed for women. If you're a man, I recommend sampling this one first. It smells very high class, sexy and put together, red dress and black heels going out-type vibe but it's just too feminine for my taste. I'm usually a big fan of sweet-fruity-caramel scents but this leans too heavily into the strawberry.

Is this far away from Nights of Arabia Killer Oud (aka Black Saffron)? Is it like a more caramelised cousin? These are not my favourite profiles, so I'm wondering if this is different enough for me to order a bottle... I like Killer Oud a lot, but I don't need too many similar perfumes in this category.

This was a blindbuy and I thought it was unique and smelled good. Then I saw a comment saying this scent gives ”dominatrix” vibes and I couldnt stop think of that and sold my bottle. Lmao

It's a unisex fragrance that's not feminine leaning. Strong and long lasting. I sprayed at night on my wrist and I can still smell it when I woke up the next morning

I hate to say it but this fragrance is very overhyped. Alot of these influencers overhype a lot of this stuff to where it end up smelling like cheap junk.

Unfortunately I have no chance to smell it could someone tell me if it reminds them of Rebelle Rihanna. I am searching for years for a similar scent.
