Vulcan Baie

Hello, this is my personal take on French Avenue – Vulcan Baie. Longevity is about 5–6 hours on skin in normal room temperature or air-conditioning. In reality, you get around 4 hours of noticeable projection; after that, the scent lingers softly on the skin in a faint, intermittent way. Scent profile: The opening feels like a glass of sparkling lemon soda — bright and fizzy. It gradually shifts into a lightly sweet tone with a hint of mixed berries, but not strawberry as many people claim. It finally settles into a softly clean, airy finish on the skin. However, spraying too many bursts at once can make it feel slightly sharp, almost like a hair mist, so it’s best to use 1–2 sprays per spot. The projection isn’t too strong since it’s a fresh scent, but in exchange, it’s unique — about 80% of people will like it right from the first spray. Recommended spray points: neck, collarbone, inner elbows, and on clothing (where it lasts longer, around 6–7 hours). Avoid spraying on the wrists — in my experience, friction from clothes or objects makes it fade too quickly, not to mention frequent handwashing which wastes the fragrance even faster. It works perfectly for both men and women — a balanced 50/50, without leaning strongly to either side. If you enjoy fresh, lightly sweet scents that dry down to a clean and gentle finish, Vulcan Baie is absolutely the right choice. Note: Love it for what it is — not because you think it’s a copy of Pink Boa. Both fragrances have their own charm; they simply share certain scent characteristics, nothing more.

I love this perfume. This one is the best out of the Vulcan series. I have never smelled anything similar, this is a very unique bubbly scent. It does open up with a lot of vodka. It's nice, I like it because it feels bold, alluring. It also hits with a blast of red forest fruits. I get raspberry the most, it's sweet and fresh. At first it seemed too sweet but after a few months it's still on the sweeter side but very likable. I think the strawberry adds to the sweetness and blackberry and blackcurrant add a bit of acidic feeling to it. It's mixed with a fresh herbal note which makes it so interesting and that's rosemary. At the drydown vodka is way less prominent and you're left with fruity sweetness with rosemary herbs on the background of musk pachuli and sandawood. I don't get much incense or amber. To me it's a perfect fruity summer fragrance. I prefer it for the night as I said it's quite bold and playful. It's also mouthwatering for some reason. I own a lot of gourmand fragrances yet it's only this one that makes my mouth water. The longevity and sillage is great as with all French Avenue fragrances. 9/10

As others have said about this fragrance it definitely smells opens pink lemonade with a splash of vodka.. (I have not tried the OG) but there is more complexity here. I smell the black currant as well as a perfumey Earthy vibe which must be the patchouli in the base.. it's almost slightly soapy too which makes it lean away from being gourmand or simplistic when it starts to dry .. the pink lemonade smell lingers throughout but definitely gets more perfumey and stays a bit boozy. It's a really well done fragrance imo with the journey it takes too on .. but it does smell more like perfume than a lot of modern gourmands. It's more grown up.

The fourth and final Vulcan in my collection. I dont get a vodka note unfortunately, I love vodka but the smell is still okay sense the smell I get is an absolute 10/10. This is the realistic version of pink lemonade. There is a nice lemon note and like a fruit I can't name. absoute banger I can see why people say its feminine leaning but im a dude and feel 100% confident in rocking this especially in the summer days. great 10/10 scent on me I love this stuff probably my fav of the whole Vulcan line up

Doing another review. Idk if maceration or maturation but as this sits longer and longer in my closet waiting for the summer ( -40 in fucking Canada rn smh) this scent leans away from fruity pink lemonade to a fruity vodka pink lemonade. I adore this the vodka note (or alcohol note ig) is pure 10/10 just absolutely amazing. Even the juice before was a 10/10 but now with the shaper alcohol kick this is amazing. It feminine leaning but I don’t care I’m rocking this all summer.

yoooo back at it again with another review bluddd. It to me smells like a pink starburst with slight alchholohloohol to it. Very nice, lasts a long time aswell. Projects decently, i do around 8-10 sprays of it. I ended up getting it for sale at TJmaxx for 22$ so it was a great pickup for my collection. As a guy you can 100% wear this btw

Absolute love. Received sample & Will most certainly purchase before Springs arrival! Tangy, effervescent & lemonade! I want to wear now- its fall. I think it has decent longevity. Would love the og but not in my budget. May get the Dua version as well.

My wife and I just found this at Burlington. Upon first spray, very fruity yet clean smelling. As the dry down hits, it's almost wood with faint fruit and herbal. My wife really likes the opening, but not so much the dry down. Time could make it better.

I easily get raspberry blackberry and strawberry its smells like a cocktail its kinda smells like shower gel if they add little bit freshness its smells like pure cocktail its really good tho I dont find this feminine I think this is perfect unisex

I dont care what people say, this is the best summer fragrance ever made! Its not to feminine like people say. It smells like a fizzy rasberry soda and you can feel the quality. It last about 8 hours on my skin and projects really good! 10/10

I'm in love! I tried in a perfumery and fell in love. I will not buy it cause I have too many sweet perfumes. But omg This is the queen. Long lasting! (I hate the vulcan Feu so I was not hoping for something good, I was surprised!)

To me, this perfume smells like fruity jelly candies with vodka. It's very similar to Yara Candy, so I wouldn't buy it, I don't see the point in having almost identical scents. Otherwise, it's long-lasting and great for summer.

smells 1:1 with pink boa ,could smell it on my mrs 8-12hrs later w/o maceration , turns very blackcurranty after 4-5hrs ,sparkly ,powdery, fizzy ,like a pink lemonade lucozade cocktail to begin with ,then develops rlly well

I love this perfume. Starts with blackberry and black currant, then raspberry and vodka come through. And rosemary lingers for a bit. It smells fresh and fizzy. I find it to be a great perfume for the warmer weather.

Picked this up at a TJ Maxx so price was good, maybe $29.99? It’s a fruity fizzy girly scent that I love for hot weather. Gives sweet and flirty without the headache causing heaviness in hot temps! Long lasting.

This i a need for summer, I get why some people thinks it’s childish but I think it makes it unique. It’s quiet feminine for me and very fruity like a pink lemonade🩷🍋😋

I was suprised to find out that Vulcan Baie is identical to pink boa. Longevity around 6-8 hours. If you can get your hands on it I really recommend that you buy it.

Vulcan Baie resembles a realistic pink bubble gum floating on a strawberry vodka cocktail, linear and airy fragrance, not loud, i enjoy the wearing experience!

Fell in love with Pink boa and instantly tried Vulcan baie. Not 1:1 more like 90-95 but with more longevity imo. Great and unique scent.

By way of disclosure so you know the context for my opinion, I read a lot of reviews about Vulcan Baie before I purcahsed it. I saw a lot of reviews saying "Ew, this smells like rotten strawberries" or "Waaaay to feminine for men to where." I ultimately decided to buy it based on the reviews, recognizing the scent as fizzy strawberry, and to be bold and try something different. First, I understand where the rotten fruit reviews came from. The initial spray from the fresh bottle of Vulcan Baie does carry an artificial, synthetic scent that when mixed with strawberry creates a scent one might describe as "rotten fruit." However, that smell disapates within a couple of minutes leaving behind an extraordinarily delicious, playful juicy, fizzy strawberry smell. I cannot think of a better fragrance to describe the color pink. If, as a man, you are afraid to wear pink under any circumstances, this is NOT the scent for you. However, if you are bold and recognize that pink on a man can be quite tasteful and refined in the right circumstances, you are the target audience for Vulcan Baie. To my nose, Vulcan Baie has pretty good longevity, between 6-8 hours and good projection but not nuclear. You will not fill a room, but people standing near you will notice it. Unless you want to nuke someone in fruit, 3-4 sprays have been enough for me.

Okay so... I was looking forward to this. Don’t get me wrong it is very nice. The vodka is heavier in this than in Pink Boa and to me Pink Boa is nicer. They’re not 1:1 I’d say they’re 75% the same. Pink Boa is sweeter and lighter. The main downside on this is that it is has a herbal scent that is pissing me off. It could be the lRosemary in it I don’t like it. Longevity wise I was really hoping this would have Vulcan feu longevity but it really doesn’t. I’ve been wearing it for about 3 hours and can’t smell it anymore. Tbf though my skin does eat fragrance up. Hopefully as it matures it will last longer. I wasn’t expecting 8hr plus longevity as Pink Boa doesn’t last that long either but French Avenue are usually really good with their longevity. For the ladies try combining this with Burberry Her Elixir it’s stunning together. 😍

Straight out of the box, it opens up really harsh with the vodka. I thought I just made a horrible blind buy. 15 minutes later though, it evens out and does actually smell like a effervescent pink lemonade cocktail. It's an interesting fragrance but the vodka kinda nudges me towards "ok", but I don't usually like alcohol notes anyway. Also, the florals makes it lean more feminine imo. Maybe layering it with something woodsy or aquatic would help in that regards. It's new though, so I'll do with it what we do with them and revisit it in a month or so, give it a few wears and try it with some different combinations. It has potential but, as is, it's not something I see myself reaching for often. I could, however, see a woman loving this.

Literally smells like a slightly sour but not overly sweet strawberry lemonade on my skin. Nothing else really stands out to me with a linear development other than maybe just getting a slight blend of the other fruits to become slightly sweeter in the dry down. Pleasant on the nose as I don't get that vodka note at all. Wouldn't say its masculine but I wouldn't say it hits that strong feminine leaning like a floral or traditionally sweet fruity scent would as the citruses take away from that a bit. Would wear it on a spring or summer day to the beach or park when I'm gonna be outside and its high 70s to low 80s out.

This is just great. Even if it's a feminine scent, I find it unisex, probably with a slight touch of feminine side to it. You could / can pull this off. What you will smell is the cocktail of those 3 forest fruits, made in a manner that you would sometimes think this is either a forest fruit candy, or a tea kinda of smell. Hope you get what I mean. From those raspberry is the king and you can feel the vodka smell. Kinda nice smelling vodka, even tho I'm not a vodka fan, it doesn't smell cheap. On woman this smells somewhat more powdery due to their PH. On a man the fruits will be stronger.

Others have mentioned this smells boozy and it does but alcopop boozy but I can’t picture which one - maybe Moscow Mule - that vodka note definitely gives this an unusual twist making this not just another fruity sweet fragrance. It smells almost fizzy in that 7up sweet sugar way. I’ve got to be in the mood to wear this otherwise the sweet notes and vodka can be too much - certainly not one to wear if you’re hungover! A gorgeous summer smell but wear wisely you don’t want to spend your work days getting breathalysed - it’s not a good look.

The opening smells like entering a Lush store. Otherwise this perfume reminds me of a good summer holiday in Dubai. You have just stepped foot in your luxurious 5 star hotel. As you enter the lobby you can smell fresh flowers (lily of the valley), along with some fresh fruits like peach, and in the air there is aroma of drinks being prepared by the bartender (strawberry blackberry black currant). And ofcourse you get some musk and amber too cuz its Dubai and its common scent among the locals. Not sure how close this is to SHL Pink Boa.

Finally, after months of waiting, it's now available here in the UAE. I am a big fan of Pink Boa, and I can say that Vulcan Baie did not disappoint. To my nose, the initial spray is an explosion of fruity berry notes mixed with vodka. It's a photorealistic version of a fresh and fizzy strawberry mojito. The dry down is a pleasant mix of musky and woody notes. The amber makes this perfume irresistibly sexy. For the price, it's definitely a steal.

Its a youthful and effervescent fragrance that gets the job done by being simple, sweet and a lil tart. The opening smells like dry shampoo (says the bald man*) with a prominent note of alcohol and a backdrop of tart berries and citrusy tang. The opening can also read a bit pink peppery at times. As it dries down it becomes sweeter and the strawberry, musk and amber become heavy players. Its simple but effective. Lasts about 5 hours.

Opens with raspberry, strawberry, and vodka, rougher opening. as it dries, it develops more of the other notes and smooths some of the harshness of the opening. I do not really get any of the green notes like the basil or rosemary. Performs with 5-6 hours and projects moderately. The smell overall is quite sweet and fruity. more between an ok and a like. good for summertime. definitely feminine leaning and unique.

This scent profile is definitely unique in my collection. I have the whole Vulcan line and I gotta say that this one is weakest from the line, BUT I really like the scent profile. Performance is rather moderate. If you wanna smell like pink lemonade just go ahead and buy it! I'm a guy and I'm still rocking this shi

I like this a lot more than I thought I would. To me straight out of the box it smelled like if powdered pink lemonade was spiked then added a bit of skin musk. Not too sweet and fruity, but not too boozy either. I can't really smelly incense and if I can smell pachouli in there it doesn't have much presence

Just got it a few days ago. I smelt the OG pink boa and the opening is kinda similar (70%) ish but honestly its not like vulcan feu or vulcan stable kind of similarities. The scent itself is beautiful but it may be too sweet and synthetic for some. Vulcan feu is still the best out of this line-up.

On a paper test, strawberry lemonade straight off the bat. I also understand the Moscow Mule reference, it's like a fizzy alcoholic drink. It smells sweet and fruity with some herbaceousness. On paper I don't get any wood or patchouli. My kids say it smells like rainbow sherbet:)

Honestly a boring scent but it’s nice smells like pink lemonade on a hot day very nostalgic and sour I don’t get much alcohol or many of these notes, but it’s a decent fresh fragrance. Smell 7.9/10 Longevity 8.2/10 Value ($50 currently) 7/10

This is like having a vodka cocktail with berry-flavored gummy bears in some expensive bar. There is also nuance in the base notes, which give this scent much-needed depth. There's something seriously addictive in this note combination.

When I first sprayed this, to me it smelled exactly like a spicy ginger ale that’s sold here in the southeastern US, Buffalo Rock Ginger Ale. That’s a good thing! The dry down is so mellow and nice. I absolutely love it.

Smells good but a bit too powdery for my liking, and I don't mean the accord. Literally smells like Pink Lemonade powder instead of the fresh citrusy lemonade it was described as. Good scent but idk where I'll wear it.

not the raspberry I wished for, rather it's syrupy strawberry and blackberry, with aromatic/woody support. Quite a thick feel, not your fresh floral fruity. Pretty flat but would serve well as a layering frag.

Definitely leans fem and to me it’s a SPECIFIC warm weather only but I personally enjoy the oversweetened fruits mixed with punch of aggressive rosemary and vodka and woods on base. It’s a fun fragrance

smells like cola gummies, specifically the "Sure Føtter" (Sour Feet) gummies i grew up with in the 00s in Norway. a totally welcome throwback.

I wanted something refreshing, love the raspberry and vodka note. Pretty, a bit powdery, something a ballerina would wear. Like

simply put, strawberry popsicle ice cream stick.. unisex leaning fem, you can rock this as a man no problem..

It really took me by surprise; it smells amazing and reminds me of a fancy party club drink.

Just got this in today and gave it a full wear. First impression? I wasn’t the biggest fan of the opening. I don’t hate it, but I definitely don’t love it either. For the first 5 minutes, it comes off a bit synthetic and honestly reminds me of Parma Violets, which threw me off a bit. As it starts to dry down, though, things improve. The initial femininity tones down, and it becomes much more wearable as a guy. The scent settles into something smoother and more enjoyable. A lot of people say it smells like pink lemonade, but to me it’s more like a strawberry daiquiri in a bottle, sweet, slightly boozy, and summery. Performance is where this really stands out. Longevity so far has been amazing. Very strong, and even at the 7-hour mark it’s still lingering well on skin. Ratings (so far, no maceration yet): Scent: 6.8/10 Longevity: 9/10 Overall, if you like more feminine leaning, alcoholic summer fragrances, this could be a good pickup. Also seems to layer really well with Vulcan Feu, which is a nice bonus.

Upon first wear, it opened very much “Lush Store” as mentioned in the “pros”. After a while I got a heavy raspberry lemonade with a bit of strawberry. It smells like a sparkling raspberry lemonade. It didn’t last very long on my skin though, but it started strong (3 sprays). I’ll try it on clothes just to see. Definitely a day scent, wouldn’t want to wear this if you’re going for something sexy. It is mostly feminine to me, not unisex. The bottle is sturdy, and the atomizer is strong. I’ll keep going with it as the summer goes on, as I have seen it may need some time to reach it’s full potential.

I blind bought this after testing Vulcan Feu and really liked it. This one is really an authentic scent. It starts with a bright and fresh / green raspberry with a hint of strawberry. There's something strong coming off of it which I guess is the vodka note, which blends well with the rest. In the drydown there's green notes coming more upfront. In my opinion it really leans more feminine, while some guys could pull this off but it's really a strawberry / raspberry forward smell after all.

To me, this doesn’t capture the original as closely as I’d hoped. Pink Boa leans more like a sharp, fruity, fizzy pink lemonade, while Vulcan Baie comes across more as a strawberry milkshake. It’s still a pleasant fragrance in its own right, but if you’re searching for a true 1:1 clone, this isn’t it. Longevity and projection are both fairly average, quite disappointing but I’ve only had it for 2 days so I’ll let it sit and see if any changes occur.
