Fresh Life

To me, THIS is Southern California in early to mid-spring. Not any sort of coconut beachy concoction. This is citrus groves and fresh chaparral and new green shoots damp with late season rain. This is what I smell when I go hiking in the foothills after a wet winter. I have yet to find any other fragrance that captures it. It makes me sad that most other people only smell household cleaners in this. I blame American companies for putting citrus into all their cleaning products; many other companies in other countries use lavender. I wish everyone could experience being around citrus trees and chaparral in a Mediterranean climate at least once. It's soothing and uplifting at the same time.

I am tough on the lighter, more refreshing scents because so many are just bland and boring. This is one that caught my interest through a random Sephora sample. Most Fresh scents last a couple of hours, at best, but Fresh Life is different. It's citrusy, without being obnoxiously so. I like how it seems so similar, like a scent you might have worn years back, but yet it is unique enough never to be dated. Great summertime scent if you don't want to bathe yourself in perfume and smell like you'd been mauled at Abercrombie if you break a slight sweat. I have my two summertime favorites now: Fresh Life and Philosophy's Loveswept.

I just realized what this reminds me of. I am about to age myself here but there used to be an extremely popular vic secret line in the mid 90s that they could not keep on the shelves bc it was so popular. It was called moonlight magic (not bbw moonlight magic) and there were two colors. One was pink and one blue. This reminds me of the blue one. There was a mist with shimmer blue with matching lotion that was the best thing I have ever smelled in my life. This is similar.

Love this fragrance for the spring and summer. The citrus notes are not subtle at all -- nor are they overpowered by strong base notes. And it smells so green and fresh -- like spring in a bottle. This scent really vibed with me and I received many compliments when I did where it. I had a 1 oz bottle that pumped a hefty spray with every use so it felt like I ran out very quickly. It was gone within 4 months. Definitely time to repurchase.

I am new to collecting perfumes. So far, this one is somehow still my favorite. It just works for me. It is heaven on earth. The only problem is it does not last at all. I have been searching endlessly for another possibly higher quality perfume that smells similar but lasts longer or has any projection. Aside from Aerin, which I don't love bc it is not strong enough, does anyone have any ideas? I truly LOVE the smell of this one.
