Sugar Lychee

This is a real unique scent that differs from the usual floral, fruity or spicy types. When it is first sprayed, there is no hint of sweetness at all. What you get instead is a fresh burst of lemon...sort of similar to the Fresh Sugar Lemon scent. However, once it dries down the scent becomes a softer and sweeter citrus smell. Sorry, but I don't detect any lychee at all. It just smells like a crisp and sweet citrus to me :-) It's a light perfume and won't last the whole day. The only rant I have about this perfume is the bottle - the nozzle comes packaged separately and if you want to cap the bottle you have to remove the nozzle. Couldn't they just have made the cap fit over the nozzle :S All in all, its the type of scent that won't offend anyone and yet is special enough to differentiate you from the crowd! Edited to add: My husband loves this perfume more than me, he took more than half of my 100 ml bottle to use...I didn't use it for a few months and when I looked at the bottle it was near empty. So I bought another bottle for him ;)

This is the fragrance that has started my perfume collection. Finally a fragrance I can wear and love! It's only citrusy in the beginning. Then it evolves into this extremely soft fresh and clean scent. In my opinion this scent is great for all year round. Because of the warmth it has it can be used in the day time during Fall & Winter. Also great for spring and summer because of it's slight fruitiness. Although I don't smell a lot of fruitiness like other people do. Anyway I love this scent for the day time, when I want to smell fresh and clean. Also great for work and school cause I can't imagine this smell offending anybody.

Pink lemonade anyone? Fresh Sugar Lychee smells so refreshing and natural, I want to drink it over ice. The lemon is tart and sparkling, with the soft pink fruity sweetness of lychee. It is not syrupy or cloying, just fresh, juicy and fun. A consistent winner for me, and unique among the fruity offerings for Summer. It would make a great, more natural-smelling alternative to the Escada Summer range, for example. Longevity on me is over six hours, which is fine for a Summer scent, and really, for any scent in this price range.

LOVE. While it’s fruity and flirty, I’m a dude and I wear this all the time. On a feminine person it is nice; on a masculine person it’s such an interesting and sexy juxtaposition. At first all I got was lychee; the more I wear it, the more citrus and freesia I get. I love that it’s what I was raised to believe is “feminine”... yet, any masculine person wearing this is sexy and fearless. In that spirit, I use 3 sprays of it at a time and I feel like fucking Louis XV

I love this, I bought it as a blind buy and have no regrets! It's fresh, a little sweet and a biiiiit acid =) maybe I am not finding the right word, maybe acid or sour... It makes you feel comfy and clean... Will deff buy again the 100 ml bottle! Smells like chilling! It's citruci, not like some overwhelming vetiver (I like vetiver, don't missunderstand me =D) but with the sweetness makes a nice combo, maybe both combine makes a lychee balance. I am adoring this.

Different than any other fragrance I've smelled, this has a surprising sweetness & warmth, which was just what I was looking for in the dead cold of winter. It's a soft, delicate fragrance, lasts about 2-3 hrs on my wrists, & has a soothing, comforting quality along with a fresh, clean feeling. It's also light & versatile enough to layer with other scents if you want to experiment & improvise. I love the lingering fruity lychee scent.

I am so glad Fragrantica finally added this to its roster of scents, because this is quite probably one of my favorites. It doesn't smell like every other fruity scent out there, which I appreciate. It starts out with a loud lemon candy scent but you can eventually smell the sweetness of lychees soon after. Definitely one of my top perfumes.

This is what I smell on Sugar Lychee, first a burst of citrus lemon/lime and immediately a mix of tonka bean (at least to me) tobacco. So the fresh kind of feminine scent is slowly taken over by masculine notes. I still think this is more of a feminine fragrance, but I don't care, I wear it everyday!

I think this is perfect for a gift. It would be universally liked and cute for someone who loves lychees. It is a good office scent, yet not generic. It is juicy and sugary, but not too much that you can't wear it as an older person

Lychee lemonade!!! My new favorite scent for when spring comes back around! The lychee makes it juicy and then the lemon causes a burst of citrus, prefectly blended!

I love smelling like bubble tea

Sugar Lychee has always been my favorite from the Fresh line. Smells just like it sounds, brown sugar, lychee, and lemon for added lift. Sweet, playful, delicious. It took my breath away when I first smelled it, it was my first time knowingly smelling something with lychee in it and I remember being so excited that they had lychee perfume! Because its one of my favorite fruits. I still do think this is one of the best lychee perfumes I've ever smelled just because most other lychee perfumes have many other dominating notes, such as rose, etc. and this one really highlights lychee. I never bought a full bottle because the lasting power is not great for the price, and it does lose its juiciness almost immediately after it hits the skin - the lemon and sugar come through much stronger than as it dries down, and the scent just becomes soft instead of this vibrant, fresh, perfume that it starts out as. I saved up and bought a rollerball some time ago, and that was enough for me. Have been enjoying it this summer, and would definitely recommend for the younger crowd. It's delightful, especially just out of the bottle :)

I don't normally gravitate towards citrus-forward scents, but I like it. It is a youthful, bright, energizing, and refreshing scent. It opens with strong lemon, followed by grapefruit and lychee. I can smell the freesia/floral note on the dry down. The sugar note reminds me of a more sophisticated version of a lemon drop candy and is present throughout. I do not pick up on the tonka, amber, or sandalwood, just pure sugar and citrus. Projection is minimal, it sits close to the skin. It would be perfect for a minimalist or someone who is fragrance sensitive. I'd like to find a layering perfume to enhance longevity. Definitely suited for warmer weather/summertime; it reminds me of being on vacation. Overall, this is a nice addition to my collection. It's perfect for when I want something light and zesty. Edit: Lovely, but just not lasting.

A nice, light, easy to wear, fruity scent that isn't cloying or sticky. It smells like a mix of lychees and some other citrus. Grapefruit maybe or something like that. It reminds me of when my husband and I first started dating because I used to wear this perfume a lot then and when I had accidentally dropped my bottle on the floor, my husband (then boyfriend) bought me a new bottle the next day. Kinda sad that this smells like cleaning products on a lot of the reviews here, although I do think my tolerance for citrusy scents is quite high that I do not mind that anyway or maybe even notice it quite as much. If you like citrusy scents but want something a little different than just having pure citrus, this is a nice one to have.

Overall, I do love this fragrance. When I first put it on the smell is very sharp and difficult to pin down, but it settles into a lovely lychee and sugar fragrance. I love the fact that this fragrance doesn't smell like just a sickly sweet fruit. It actually smells like a tart, juicy fruit with sugar sprinkled on top. The fruit and sugar notes are distinct, and it's possible to discern them independently while wearing the fragrance. Together, they work with one another very well. I would wear this more frequently, but it simply doesn't have staying power. It lasted about 1/2 hour on me. Overall, I love the scent, but it doesn't have enough staying power.

This one is just so easy to love. You get the vibrant lychee coated with sweetness throughout its longevity and you get to enjoy hidden notes of lemon citrus in the opening, creamy coconut like a refreshing pina colada concoction that appears midway and finally ends with soft freesia and warm amber. I absolutely adore every note this perfume has to offer. Unfortunately it lasts approx. 3 hours on me and it wears very close to the skin but I actually enjoy reapplying the roller to my pulse points and it layers beautifully with any perfume. Still a fan after a decade of wear. To me, this is happiness in a bottle.

I really hate the beginning part of it, because the lemon hits you in the face, very much reminds me of Pine Sol and not like lemon tarts. But after an hour-ish, the dry down is beautiful. It has this delicate sweetness of lychee that sort of lingers around. I love the last bit, so does my boyfriend. It doesn't last long enough (maybe 3-4 hours) for me to consider purchasing the full sized bottle, especially at that price. Love the lychee after, cause I have yet to find another perfume that captures the fruit that well.

VERY VERY fresh! like a fresh squeezed lemon with sugar sprinkled on top. one of my first "real" perfume purchases as a teenager lol. the sandalwood shines underneath the citrus and it gives me a little bit of a pencil shavings vibe. the lemon is both the hero and the villain here; it smells like summer and sunny days, but it also smells like toilet cleaner (which is kind of a dealbreaker for me). for a citrus-dominant frag, I get pretty decent wear time and projection. good freshie overall!

love this sweet, summery take on lychee! almost reminds me of a citrus popsicle on a hot day- sweet and sour at the same time thanks to the balance of lychee and amalfi lemon/other bright citrus notes, as well as a smooth base of tonka and amber that rounds it out. i especially love the drydown because it turns into an almost lemon-drop-like candied citrus scent. pretty decent longevity though! EDIT- would love this as a candle or home spray!!

Clean and refreshing summery fruity fragrance. Not sour. Sweet citrus with lime blossom on a slightly woody base. One of my brother's favorite perfumes, so naturally I had to test it out. I am a sucker for lime blossom, and it adds a nice touch to what could have been a boring citrus fragrance. My brother has good taste--I agree with him that this is the best in the Fresh line. Big thumbs up for this comfortable and casual perfume.

A pleasant balance of sweet and clean. I find it particularly nice in the winter because it has a bit of warmth to it. The lychee is kept in check by the sandalwood, which is very nice and keeps things believably sweet (not horrible candy sweet). I really like this for wearing to the office, since it lasts well but stays close to the skin.

This fragrance is refreshing and perfect for spring/summer!! It is juicy and sweet and a little bit tart too. It reminds me of a lychee mojito, a very juicy citrus and sugary which is perfect for a hot day and sitting by the pool. It has pretty good longevity for a freshie, around 4 hours.

I love the Fresh line of perfumes. They're sweet but they're nicely broken up by the floral and woody notes. Sugar Lychee is by far my favorite from their collection. It's an inoffensive citrus scent but it lasts all day long! I really smell the lime blossom in this one.

I think Sugar Lychee is beautiful. With the Fresh line you know what you are getting - basically a big dose of sugar and a pretty citrus. This is too similar to Fresh Sugar, which I own, but it is very pretty. I might buy it when my bottle runs out.

This was a blind buy from me. The citrusy smell disappear after few seconds on my skin & the smell that remain is the amber. Tried few times, but that is all I can smell. Not disliking it though.

My girlfriend's scent when we first started dating so I'm biased. Sweet and a bit gourmand, it's fresh but as others said I don't think it actually smells like lychee much.

Don't love it or hate it. All I really get is citrus. I feel like a big wedge of lemon when I wear this. Won't buy again.

Blind bought after reading reviews. I really shoulda listened to everyone saying it was sour. Don't get me wrong - it's an ok perfume, but it's def not what I expected. I wouldn't call this lychee anything. Lychee is everywhere in my home country, and I've grown up surrounded by lychee flavored/scented everything. It's one of my favorites. However, can't pick out that lychee AT ALL in this one. This scent starts out souurrr citrusy, like a sharp lemon/lime. I don't particularly care for this stage bc it reminds me of lemon scented dish soap (synthetic as hell). That quickly fades and the background flowers and sweetness come forward. This is where it stays for the rest of the duration on me. It smells mostly like a fresh, sweet floral, plus a tiny bit of sandalwood. If I really sniff my arm, I can kinda smell a little sourness, but that could also be the sandalwood. The drydown for me reminds me a Glade plug-in. The sillage for this is intimate. The longevity on this is very low. I used this on my wrists a few min before I started writing this, and it's already a skinscent on me (~30 min). I feel like in another 30 min, it will be completely gone. For me, that's ok bc this is a very blah scent for me, but for someone who loves this smell, they'd probably want a lot more. Overall, I think this is an ok, simple smell that most ppl wouldn't mind. I think it's just disappointing to me bc I was really excited for a mostly lychee perfume, and this was not it. Right now, it's a solid "meh," but I will try this again and see if that changes.

Lychee is one of my favourite fruits, and the opening of this was one of the most delicious and juicy lychee scents I've ever smelt. I particularly loved it as it reminded me of the lychee jellies you can get at milk tea shops (my favourite topping)! However, the lychee quickly dissipates as the lemon and grapefruit notes take over and sadly it becomes quite a synthetic citrus dominant scent, reminiscent of glade air fresheners and lemon scented cleaners as others have mentioned. Longevity and sillage are also disappointing considering the price. I would recommend testing just for the opening alone and see how it dries down as you may have a different experience!

as a lychee fragrance fanatic i was... not very pleased with this fragrance, i'm afraid. the lychee lasts for 30 seconds... and the rest of it is lemon dish soap. overwhelmingly so, purely 100% lemon dishwashing soap! i regrettably have to agree with everyone else saying it is highly reminiscent of cleaning products. NOT A SAFE BLIND BUY. test this one multiple times + give the fragrance time to settle before buying, it is neither lychee nor sugary!

Got excited for the lychee name, but it's overpowered by the strong sour-citrusy scent upon application. Has a strong, refreshing scent (I feel like it can clear up a stuffy nose lol with a whiff), but it's a little too sharp for my tastes

It’s def cute and fresh. In cold climates it smells kinda like beer n piss I’m sorry.... But WHERES THE LYCHEE? I was promised sugar lychee, but there’s no sugar or lychee. Overpriced.

smells nothing like lychee, more of a candied lime iced drink. maybe a bit like if you took lemon cleaner and make it into a sugary hand soap? almost floral at the beginning but absolute no lychee to be found. very overpriced for the longevity and strength. i've had it on for about 10 minutes and the smell has faded 70%.

This was a blind buy at Sephora, while it's not my favourite, I don't regret buying it. The scent is a saccharine lemony-citrus scent, I do not get any hints of lychee which was a bit disappointing for me. I use it on my linen before I iron it and put it on my bed and my sheets smell divine!

The citrus in this scent must evaporate instantly, because by the time I am able to sniff my skin all I perceive is lychee, sugar, and a bit of amber. Let me know if you want my rollerball!

i get literally no sugar or litchi it’s ALL lemon😭 like straight cleaning product it’s so strange. i was sooo hopeful this would work for me but it’s so bad

Fresh Sugar Lychee is quite true to its name; it smells exactly as you would expect. This is a juicy lychee and citrus blend with a hefty dose of sugar. Sugar Lychee is best suited to the warm weather. It's quite a vibrant, zesty fragrance on my skin, with a young, carefree vibe. It's not a fragrance I would necessarily wear often, but when the mood strikes this scent becomes a sweet little 'pick-me-up'. The citrus opening is quite bold with sour lemon, grapefruit and lychee. It reminds me of the scent of sour worm candy. The heart is more focused on taming the sweetness with a soapy freesia accord, which unfortunately doesn't work with my chemistry. There is a hint of syrupy amber in the drydown, however, it's not as pronounced as I would have liked. Fresh is not an expensive brand so it's no surprise that Sugar Lychee has a synthetic-smelling composition. Had the freesia note been better quality or emitted altogether from this fragrance, I may have enjoyed Sugar Lychee more. The longevity is surprisingly good, lasting approximately five hours on my skin. The projection is, however, relatively soft. This fragrance's subtlety is not necessarily a bad thing, as a light fruity-citrus scent is sometimes preferred in hot weather.

My travels through the land of Fresh have now generated the following preliminary analogy: Clean:soap::Fresh:citrus I base this bold conjecture on three cases, the present being SUGAR LYCHEE, which opens with a bright burst of citrus before settling down to a fresh fruity floral featuring...lychee! Although I like both the citrus note opening and the later juicy lychee stage of this fragrance, I'm not sure that citrus and lychee were ever meant to be combined. There is something vaguely discordant here. Chocolate is good; salmon is good. But chocolate salmon? That's similar to how I feel about SUGAR LYCHEE. I won't be buying a full bottle, though I might have loved this lychee fruity floral without the citrus opening, and I might have loved the citrus opening without the fruity floral lychee that it becomes. Alas, in this composition, they are combined...

This scent makes me smile and I want to continue smelling my wrist throughout the day for that happy and refreshing feeling that it brings! When I stepped out to go out on a night with my girlfriends, my neighbor texted me to tell me I smelled amazing. I couldn't believe that the scent carried so far but also I enjoyed hearing that it was nice smelling to others too. To me it's a very feminine sweet yet refreshing scent. It reminds me of pink sugary grapefruit, pink lemonade and caramel...yummy! Even though I just bought it, I think it can easily become my signature perfume. The down side is that it doesn't last long. I recommend also getting the rollerball to take in your purse and reply after a couple of hours.

Just like the name it really is pretty Fresh! I got this for the summertime, especially for the couple of weddings I have coming up. I wanted something right along these lines that wouldn't suffocate anyone after dancing. It's quite citrusy and a little sweet, but the sweetness doesn't have a bite to it. You can really smell the fruity lychee. It does remind me of summertime tropical cocktails. My husband liked it too. I'll finish off my rollerball for this summer, but I won't repurchase because if its longevity. I timed it out and it disappeared to nothingness after exactly 3.5 hours. Not terrible really, for being a citrus fragrance, but I like my perfumes to last at least half a day.

Lime! Think Sprite, green Skittles, margaritas. I also get grapefruit, but certainly not lychee. The “sugar” I get is the sweetness of the freesia — a floral sweetness rather than an edible sweetness. After the opening, it settles down to an extremely close skin scent that is vague citrus and white laundry musk. No sandalwood, no amber, no tonka bean. I do get a distinctly “blue” impression also; I think there is probably calone here. Without knowing when it was created, you can still easily date this back to the early 00s by scent alone. It definitely feels retro. Pretty, though not very interesting, and definitely neither sugar nor lychee.

To my nose it's ambery-tonka-sandalwood. Any citrus top notes that might be there are gone almost immediately, I don't get citrus or lychee scent from this. With my body chemistry, the dry down happens fast and is more like Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess than it is fruity. I do get a hint of freesia and lotus. The one called Sugar Lemon actually has a more prominent lychee note on me than this one does. Unlike some of the other Fresh fragrances that fade quickly, this one sticks. I prefer Fresh Sugar or Fresh Sugar Lemon over this.

The first time my friend and I smelled this, we both fell in love but after that first time both of us agree that it's not that great 😂 It doesn't smell like lychee at all, the opening is kind of like peach ring gummies mixed with lemon and a little sandalwood. The sandalwood kind of ruins it for me tbh but the perfume is very fresh and crisp! Because the citrus is so dominant, this can kind of smell like cleaning products. As it fades, you get more of the freesia though and it also becomes sweeter and less sharp.

So zesty and citrusy! Reminds me of a citrus hand soap or multipurpose cleaner. I wish this were toned down with a creamier sugar so it could be more wearable. My mom loves Lime, Basil & Mandarin from JM and some of JM’s other citrus scents and this reminds me of those. It gives me the feel of a beachside boutique owned by a hip older woman, who wears exclusively linen and regularly practices yoga. Thinking of either gifting this to my mom or layering it with some creamier scents.
