Blue

Absolutely one of my favorite scents. This perfume is like summer in a jar, a day at the beach. It probably makes more sense to wear it in the summer, but I must confess to secret bottle sniffing on a cold winter day. Everyone needs a little sunshine in January.

I agree with kmoon2, it's got a powdery quality to it that's not listed among the accords. It's got lots of melon in the opening. Most of the fragrance is dominated by musky/watery-green notes. The light tough of vanilla adds warmth to the fragrance. Seems to me quite milky and powdery all the way through despite not having any of the traditional notes associated with powderiness. Quite a mild fragrance really, a little synthetic too. Nice, but my least favourite from F&P's colours line actually (even though it's their best seller I hear). My favourite was the only one discontinued - Purple - a lovely powdery vanilla. The others are tied for second pink and fuchsia - the newest not listed on this site - both fruity florals.

I have this one but called Kate. What an absolutely wonderful treat. Not my usual jam, but I like it. The melon is sweet and ripe it reminds me of musk melon of my younger years. I liked the smell but it tasted perfumey to me. The green is crispy and not damp or wilted. I feel the vanilla and musk balance this out to a very elegant polish. ( 2 of my favourite notes) It lasts around 4 to 5 hours on me. Sillage is about 2 feet around me. I will enjoy this bottle!

It’s OK. I don’t think it suits me. Smells similar (but more aquatic, melony and less sweet) to Nectar Wave from Victoria’s Secret to me, if you ever wanted the same “vibe” in a cheaper format. I’ve tried it a couple more times since this review and I’d say it’s a lot less juvenile than Nectar Wave. It is bright and elegant, with no hint of masculinity to be found.

Kate, the 2018 reformulation of Blue, is just another profile. It's not Blue. I wore this perfume since as far as I can remember, back to when it was called Solstice in the very late 90s / early 00. Every single one of my boyfriends have been obsessed with that smell, would keep pieces of clothing along with them when we were apart, said they would get intense nostalgia when they they would smell it on someone in the streets etc. Even my current boyfriend vividly remembers when we first met and miss it a whole damn lot. It smelled SO good, and evokes instant nostalgia - a bright, sunny kind of warmth that I've never been smelled anywhere else, as ozonic perfumes usually go towards more "classic" marine scents. It was very unique. I have been hanging on to a few drops of my old Blue bottle for years in hope of finding it again. It's been rebranded as "Kate", and it does not smell like it used to. And I can tell for sure that's it not just my memory, since I still have Blue. I'm on the last drop and feared it was gonna fade and be the last time I smell a big part of my childhood, teenage years and 20s. I fear I might never be able to smell it again. On first sniff, it seems like it's the same fragrance because the iconic airy ozonic / melon salty smell mixed with greens comes out first. But then you apply it (Kate), the powdery smell is so overwhelming, it completely loses its original "fresh", summer day vibe. After a few minutes i just want to wash it off because I smell like baby products. It literally reminds me of baby oil, it's off putting. It's so overwhelming you can barely smell what used to be the core signature of Blue.

I love that smell... but not on me! Way too overpowering. Got sick of it within 20 minutes.

Accepted my return but refused to pay me back when I sent it back to them UNUSED and in ORIGINAL packaging. AND I had to pay for the return label myself. I spent about $100 and none of it is coming back to me LMAO. Even crazier is that they required an invoice for proof but never provided one in the first place. I had to print out my account orders and email confirmation. All that and customer service decided they didn’t want to reply anymore when I pointed out their redundant return policy.

With the hotter weather now around, I just love wearing this perfume. I particularly like to wear the fragrant body mist---I get compliments about how fresh it smells and was even surprised when a co-worker told me, at the end of our shift, how she loves it again. She mentioned that it seems to smell like melon and my son also mentioned green tea. I tend to think it smells like baby oil---with hints of the aforementioned. Whatever it is, I just love the freshness of it and how the body mist with no alcohol goes on my body and makes it feel fresh all day. I like to wear it on hot days---when we've had the colder days this spring, I tend to wear the Cherry perfume (which I don't find smells like cherries and sadly is going to be discontinued)---I find this perfume too musky for warm weather and Blue too "fresh" smelling for cold weather. This fragrance has been called Solstice, Blue and now it is called Kate. Out of allllllllll my fragrances, this is my signature scent and the one that never fails to get compliments. I get compliments from family, coworkers and lots and lots of strangers. This is one fragrance I cannot pick the notes apart. All I know is that it smells fresh and somewhat powdery. It smells really unique. I have never smelled anything like it. The sillage and longevity are both extremely good. I hope they never get rid of this as it my most cherished perfume. I have been wearing this for 20 plus years. It's timeless and ageless. A true gem from a small Canadian company.

This is an all time fav of mine, top ten for sure! Other than the great smell this perfume is amazing when it comes to longevity! There aren't many other scents out there that hold up like many from fruits&passion! It is very strong so a little goes a long way with this beauty! It was my signature perfume for the longest time, that is up until a new woman started working in my office and she went way over kill on it! It was hard for me to even admit that my own signature scent gave me a headache! Gorgeous, but spray sparingly

I don't know, to me this one is very, very powdery. There is a slight "warm summer breeze" accord to it, but the most of what I smell is powder. Maybe it's my chemistry interfering....
