This fragrance got such a bad rep here. What a shame. First of all, the official note breakdown is the following: Fondo de Lago (bottom of a lake) Barba de Viejo (a type of moss that hangs down from tree, like witch's hair in North America) Mate leaf Here's a snippet from the official website: "The olfactory nates are indeed very special: marble, powder, barba de viejo – the lichen of Patagonia, a plant able to indicate the level of air purity, and finally, the scent of the bottom of the lake. ... Chamber was inspired by the concrete, marble, and the architecture of Louis Khan, precisely the Kimbel Collection building." Now we know the inspiration of scent let's talk about the smell. It's super aquatic - no amount of moss or leaves can hide that watery smell. It's not a typical calone though; I also smell moss and stillness of the vegetation. The aquatic note here is quite unconventional thanks to Fueguia's base (I always register it as a salty woody ambergris), and is more misty than sticky. The use of green notes here can be also found in other Fueguia creations such as Cactus Azul (it evokes the juice of aloe vera), but I don't recall smelling it anywhere else. No musk. I find this fragrance cold. Having lived in Pacific Northwest in the past decade this is a very proper late fall/winter scent to me when everything is cold and wet and the sun never peaks. It matches the mood perfectly. I do find the scent too piercing if I spray too close to my nose and stay indoors, but once that's remedied it's perfect. Highly recommended for those that want to try an unusual green or a photorealistic aquatic.

Chamber is one of the most underrated fragrances I have ever smelled in my life. I can't tell you how many times I have researched and tried to find the best petrichor fragrance and I have come up with nothing. Nothing spectacular and nothing close to what I really want. Nothing smelled like the real thing! How many times have I smelled patchouli in something that is supposed to smell like water and concrete!? To be honest I gave up. I thought I was asking too much. Behold! Chamber! Is the actual rain water scent I have been looking for. It has taken me years! Yes. This is the holy Grail of petrichor for my taste. It's very crisp and very watery. You can sense the mineral aspect to the fragrance. It's described as wet cement initially being dried by the sun. Stones underwater in a river. And that river water on the skin. To top it all off, this brand in its entirety is Photo realistic and incredibly natural. This fragrance sounds expensive and it is. I believe it is around $420. If you have it, then I highly recommend you purchase it. If you don't have it then try to get a sample or a travel size. That's what I did. I'm telling you. This is something you will never find again.

One of the most unusual scents ever created this aquatic offering mixes some very unique ingredients. It opens with aquatic notes of moss and lichen from the Atlantic Ocean. Then you get marble paste which evokes concrete and glass. Finally the scent settles on grassy ozonic notes of the mate leaf. The scent is supposed to be a tribute to the architecture of the Kimbel museum buildings in Fort Worth, TX designed by the great Louis Kahn. The smell takes me to the clean beaches of beautiful Fernando de Noronha island with its beautiful green archipelago. This is an utterly unique, wearable green aquatic scent. Unisex with moderate projection and good longevity. Not for everyone but I am delighted. Enjoy!

Intriguing perfume. I get freshly cut grass as the opener, but like, the EXACT smell of freshly cut grass, no other notes whatsoever. Just as you're beginning to wonder what the point was of even creating, let alone buying such a monochromatic scent, it opens up and reveals a heart containing, dare I say it, an Iso E Super bomb. And somehow, it works really quite well in amongst the greenery. I agree with the below comments comparing it to Philosykos, that fresh cut branch sap smell is nestled in there quite snugly, and the scent is all the better for it. Longevity is a little lacklustre though, and it's probably one more for the spring/summer months. Nonetheless, really lovely.

Green, green, green. There is the freshly cutted grass and moss but it gets warmer after a few minutes with a fig leaf kind of sweetness and dries down to a more salty/aquatic that i appreciate a lot. It's summer but so different from the citric and neroli cliché scents. This feels like a dense and humid forest instead of the beach with the kids screaming. I love it as a scent but i don't think i will wear it. To me it's a bit linear and it doesn't have the kind of balance i look for in a fragrance but i'll give another chance in hot weather.

Nobody smells the mimosa notes I smell until dry down??

Initially I have in mind fruity whiffs of melon, acetone for nails, but above all a hydrated cucumber consistency. Then I go back to earth as it seems that that's where he wants to take me. On meadows of lush grass, fresh, boundless, tall and in the shade. There is also a consistently woody coconut sweetness that pushes the dirt of the soil dye I feel in the background into lighter tones. For me it is a rather heartfelt and in the long run tiring ingredient. I find it in various summer fragrances based on ivy, fig or fig leaf that are widely used. As in Jo Malone's Red Truffle, Philosykos, to name a couple that come to mind. Stay straight. so. Mono note. It ends more pleasant and deep, green, dark, still watering and dense in texture. Minimalist. Too much. Fresh,cold. Fat but clean,sharp. Slightly masculine. For me like a fortified water gel with an excellent fig leaf for layering and little else. I didn't get the message.

First impression was very good, it was quite realistic after rain scent. Its very green, like you crushed fresh grass in your hands. Its not dirty and it doesnt smell like soil. What makes me kinda nauseous is that creamy-milky woody base which is under the grassy smell. I dont know ifs that cedarwood, cause is somehow simillar to that one in Manglar, which i dont like either. That grassy part is nice, but the rest doesnt fit me.

And among the most novel scents I've tried, this one fascinates me to this day. In my head, 2 years ago: The dripping water of a cut open cactus nopal in the middle of the desert. Now: Fresh-cut sweet grass in moist soil. There is an obvious chlorophyllic vibe to this. Maybe some new concrete, maybe a shy green apple. Something about this scent makes me slightly melancholic, like De Profundis without the flowers. Like the grave before the burial even started, before the flowers arrived. Really, really good. Worth having a decant of this.

Smelled in store. Like a freshly mown lawn, except the gardener has dumped the cutting bag all over you and there are grass clippings in your nose. It also reminds me of a game I used to play in elementary school where we picked and chewed the stems of clover flowers because we were bored. This one is straight grass, crushed weed, you are an herbivore and you chew cud. I think it would be funny to wear it straight as a prank, and interesting layered with something else very different.

Aquatic, fresh, green, unique. It smells like a lily pond: water, fresh air, algae, maybe a nice wet frog. I sniffed many fragrances in their store in Soho and this was the one that stood out for me: I think it is enchanting. Their fragrances may vary batch by batch so it's extra important to sample before you buy. I have never smelled anything so authentically watery/aquatic: definitely pond/lake rather than beach/ocean.

I'm missing a bit of the soil to be honest. It smells like a cross between Oriza L. Legrand's Deja Le Printemps and The Zoo's Fig My Love. Wet greens, fatty coconut, fig, with something spicy woods at the bottom (balsam?) to give it a damp woods in the soil feel. Overall quite a lovely experience, but not too dissimilar from the fragrances mentioned above. I wish there was more of a soil component.

Eddy C I absolutely agree with you. I think it is an experiment and I also believe that they are showing us that they can recreate almost everything they want to. Chamber smells like an old basement, a chamber, with stone walls covered by moss. Fueguia perfumes are just stunning; the scents are absolutely real and not metalic or artificial.

I have a decant of this frag, it just smells like REAL fresh cut grass but not in a good way. Imagine a really hot summer day when you finish cutting your front-yard grass and the smell of the grass is mixed with the wet street smell. i recommend trying this one.

Probably the most realistic grass smell i've ever smelled. It has nothing else that tries to smooth it out. It's just grass and soil that makes you think of grass you pull out of the ground with dirty soil on the ends.
