I love it when fragrances take you somewhere. According to the concept of the fragrance, Darwin is supposed to smell like Charles Darwin’s cabin in Patagonia when he initiated writing his now famous book, The Origin of Species. It is a beautiful image to have in your mind, and this scent experience is a great companion. Personally, I love this fragrance! If you are looking for something fresh, this will do the trick. Again I reference the purity from this brand. Crystal clear note of vetiver which is very hard to find. That's what this is all about. Nothing more and nothing less. For the people who love that particular note, this is a dream coming true for you. It certainly is for me. I consider vetiver one of my favorite notes of all time. I can't get enough of it. If you were in my fragrance closet, you would see over 85% that has that note in it. Darwin is the closest I have smelled to the perfect vetiver experience. And it is furthermore highlighted by the purity of the essences of the ingredients. The fragrance sings because of that adherence to quality. I am almost beside myself because the words I use to describe the experience I am having is not sufficient for you to understand. For every fragrance in his House, the quality is there. You cannot go wrong. For those of you who know what you want and just need someone to make it, try this house out. I want to make a quick note about the comparison between this and fragrances like Hermes or Aesop and it is very simple. It is all about the quality. You can smell it! Especially if you know what you're looking for. The quality difference is mind blowing. Even with Hermes ! Down to buy it just because the name? Think again. Darwin smells like you have taste and you have money to back it up.

One of this eclectic brand’s most popular offerings, a natiral citrus freshie designed to evoke the fragrance of the smell of Darwin’s cabin as he conducted his investigations in Patagonia. The scent is comprised of mainly three notes: a juicy grapefruit, earthy vetiver and noble cedar with slight hints of sandalwood, slight spice (ginger, cardamom) and the signature plant based musk that defines this brand. The masculine leaning scent has moderate projection and good longevity and is suited for hotter weather. Pricey for what is being offered, but you are paying for sustainable natural luxury. Enjoy!

This makes for an excellent everyday signature scent for those who are into very fresh, radient, vetiver and citrus fragrances. I wish designers priced under 100 could smell like this. This is like the niche quality version of Terre D'Hermes but does its own thing. This does not have that chemical boring dry down of BDC and lots of other blue fragrances. A very beautiful and invigorating scent.

Hard to describe Darwin. It's not about single notes, it's more about the whole composition. It feels (and this is going to sound extremely weird) like a welcoming home. As if you stepped into a place and you feel right at home. Or like a favourite sweater. Is delicate and slightly warm, woody. The grapefruit is perceptible but the whole fragrance is subtle. This is so different from anything I've tried before. It feels right. Not an attention grabber or ultra modern, just a fantastic, cozy scent.

Wanted to love this, but unfortunately goes straight to Lysol on my skin. A shame, I love the branding concept.
