Don Giovanni

A simple lovely but unexceptional natural scent meant to invoke the legendary lover libertine. The scent opens with notes of jasmine and tuberose. The heart is all ambergris. The perfume settles on a bed of plant pheromone musks. This is a pleasant intimate unisex scent with moderate projection and good longevity. Not hugely innovative in any way, it still has an elegant seductive power to it. Enjoy!

from my wife, review Don Giovanni Fueguia 1833 Ten years ago (from November 29 to December 8, 2013) at the Bellini Theater in Naples, there was a presentation of "Il Don Giovanni" by Filippo Timi - one of the theatrical and cinematic geniuses of our time. He is the author, director, and performer of Don Juan, who has established himself as an unusual, eccentric, and extravagant character, embodying the true essence of humanity and its history in the eyes of many researchers. He rewrites, rereads, and reinterprets his character with the words of Tirso de Molina, Mozart's opera, and Molière's comedy. "Only that which dies is truly alive" - the underlying thread of this vibrant and explosive performance. A few years later (the information varies), Julian Bedel, in collaboration with Filippo, released the perfume Don Giovanni Fueguia 1833. "The fragrance reflects the mysterious nature of the libertine. The charm evoked by this character is encapsulated in the bottle" (note from the official Fueguia website). Throughout the Argentine winter, I wore this perfume with abandon. And even before leaving St. Petersburg. What does the "shameless seducer" smell like? A huge handful of flowers at the peak of bloom and already preparing for death. This thought led me to conclude: "Only that which dies is truly alive." The creators managed to capture the moment of transition from the life to death of blooming plants. Here, you can hear the voices of several types of jasmine, delicate and passionate jonquils, dramatic tuberoses, honeyed ylang-ylang, slightly blurred champaca, gardenia, already devoid of fungal freshness, whose petals have taken on a yellowish waxen color, and occasionally a note of wild rose flickers. All of this is at the highest frequency, at a time when flowers are just beginning to emit indoles (producing an animalic note). Musk and civet only fluff up the luxury, adding air, color, light, and iridescent hues. And a drop of amber - warmth. The fragrance is powerful, long-lasting (it can be overwhelming!), and has a lingering trail. Definitely unisex. I believe that the creators fully managed to explore the theme of Don Juan and create his fragrant essence!

Fragrantica notes are incorrect, the website lists Tonic note: Musk Dominant note: Ambar Sub Dominant: Jasmine. It's primarily a lightly musky/spicy amber, similar to El Mono de la Tinta but lighter with a tiny bit of background white florals.
