Ett Hem

I’m always drawn to these ‘difficult’ perfumes because they just intrigue the crap outta me. This one is so complex but pleasant but contradictory. You get these warm almost tropical florals with these cool woodsy Scandinavian scents and the clash is just beautiful. I tried a sample in the store and for the rest of the day it would just interrupt whatever I was doing and draw me towards smelling my wrist over and over. An obsessive conundrum! Like the feeling of a new crush on somebody you never expected to feel that way about. Dreamy longing and grounded practicality in a bottle. I dunno, I might need to own it I’m still thinking about it.

Ett Hem When freshly cut flowers are brought into the house from the frost (a few seconds). When rum is poured into the fireplace to make an offering to the god of fire and hearth (minutes). When a pepper mixture is prepared for steaks and sprigs of rosemary, thyme and garlic cloves are placed on grate of the roaster. When the house smells of warm, dry wood from the log walls, furniture, kitchen utensils and musical instruments, craft boxes and buttons. The aroma of coziness and joyful meetings with loved ones.

I don't know why Fueguia 1833 and especially Ett Hem doesn't have hundreds of reviews, I guess it's hard to find it. This scent put me in the world of niche perfumes and there is no way back. The thing is its still in my top 3 perfumes I've ever smell (and I smelled many) it's all natural, you can smell every note and really enjoy it. I still trying to find something similar in any price, but with no success. Nothing gave me this pleasure and smile like the Ett Hem did.

the world wouldve become a better place if everything smelled like this perfume. not my favorite type of scent, but it is indeed one of the most fascinating scent ive ever tried. sniffing it feels like god is creating the dark night sky with thousands of stars inside my nose. a combination of heaven and hell perhaps. they must have sold their soul to something to make this thing i swear...

Ett Hem is your companion, your friend you wanna spend all day with. It's warm but it can be sharp when it needs. It's pure love and feels like hugging teddy bear. If I had to choose one perfume that will be. (Sellier as well)

Reminds me a bit of the scent of brand new sneakers, first sniff when you open the box. Fresh and warm, all year.

So I've been on a Fueguia blind buying spree as I've found them heavily discounted. Of the 8 I purchased, this is the only one I dislike so far. As a big fan of sandalwood, I had high expectations for this one. The initial spray and opening notes are actually beautiful and I enjoyed the piney nuance. However, in the dry down the pepper presents as sweaty spice on my skin and not something I would like to wear. This brand as a whole is fantastic though, very high quality.

Tried this from a 2ml sample. Spicy woody scent but in a bad way. make me feel like i am inside an Indian spices store. did not like it at all. performance is below average. longevity 4-5 hours & very mild projection from the start. forgettable experience to be honest.

I personally find this fragrance very strange. Not necessarily in a bad way, but definitely in a polarizing way. I almost get a maple syrup Quality to it, but the prize in the background is the spruce. It's almost like a gatekeeper to go to Maple heaven. Stopping you and telling you you're not quite there yet. I don't know where you would wear this. It has to be a personal wear for you. I've never been to Sweden, but I sure would love to. If I ever get there, it would probably start to make more sense. There is not much else for me to say. It is warm and cool at the same time. There are others in the collection I prefer, but I'm sure there is someone out there who would like it because it is a fragrance well done. It's just not my cup of tea. I will say this. It does have the power to be one of those fragrances that grow on you and end up becoming one of your favorites. I have made the delusional decision to purchase a travel size of every fragrance available from this brand. I don't know why I did that exactly, but because of my disability I'm never going to be able to go to their store in person. I'm falling in love with their brand, so I wanted to try it all. That's where I'm at personally. If that tells you anything about the brand, it's worth it. Even the one I have on now.

This fragrance is aquatic and woody - and reminds one of home. For me, it reminds me of the occasional Sunday mornings and Easter mornings spent in church. Morning sun seeping in through the stained glass windows, church pews half empty, and the holy sisters sitting in silence behind the priest. This is what I imagine they would smell like - remnants of incense, holy water on their foreheads, a faint worn out leather smell on their fingers from their bible - godliness, quietude, living. This fragrance is perfect for wearing in church, for wearing at the library, during a ritual, and for any other space or occasion which you consider holy. It will bring you closer to your God and closer to repentance. When you first spray it, you obviously get the sandalwood, as it sets on your skin, the pepper becomes more alive, only for everything to quiet down and bring out the aquaticness of the perfume. I love love love it. It’s very natural, and worldly, and naturally sexy.

As with most of their fragrances, you’d be hard pressed to find a similar offering, as they pride themselves for sourcing the most purest materials for their creations. Notes are exactly what's stated on the scent pyramid, although the sandalwood is the most distinct from opening to base and is rather linear. Personally, I'm ok with linear fragrances as long as their opening is good. It underscores the Noses intent, imo. Not a synthetic note to be found, too..

a luxurious birthday gift from a beloved friend 2 years ago. i don't know why it's taken me so long to come write this review. this perfume is a conundrum: a mix of extremes. it's cozy yet fresh, sweet yet spicy... like the "sensaciones" section on the official site: it's "a fire on a sunny winter day; cashmere on bare skin". i love it. so thought-provoking. i've made quite a dent in it... i want to savor it, but i also can't stop reaching for it.

This starts with a strong sweet note that i associate with honey and after you start getting the woods both creamy and dry with a spicy pepper. It dries down a bit more austere and bitter but still very warm and sweet, a bit too much for me. A cold weather scent that falls more under the category of a home fragrance, a very nice one.

This is only the second fragrance ive smelled from this brand and i am really enjoying how natural they smell. This one is soft but gives me the feeling of being in a spruce forest in spring. Immediately i smell sandalwood with a camphorus note at the top. Not really my style but i can appreciate the art of this fragrance.

lovely, soft and woody. no note particularly sticks out, but the quality of the natural wood is striking. id buy it as a solid everyday fragrance to throw on, but that PRICE TAG!
