La Bonita

Disregard the "easy" looking notes, because Fueguia La Bonita is not that. Very earthy decaying floral, medicinal, and kind of weird in the beginning. The quince fruitiness which is unique in its own right softly fights the weirdness until this sweet gardenia floral kicks in 10 min in. Very creamy with a lingering coffee-like warmth and support that enriches this scent and slightly bitters it, while avoiding a syrupy texture. The fragrance isn't sweet until it transitions to the lush gardenia combined with vanilla, but sweet in a very floral way. There is an essence of fruit in the vanilla-floral cream thing (the passionfruit or still the quince?) without being tart or bright at all. The passionfruit strengthens after 30 min reminding of THOO Keep Glazed's dry down. The coffee support helps push the scent forward so it can perform. I actually don't think this is that similar to THOO Keep Glazed which is warm too but really starts out as a brighter lemon, ginger, mango sorbet and then dries into a thicker, but hot-weather appropriate, mango whipped cream smoothie. This has the same creaminess once the gardenia joins in with the vanilla but it isn't as fruity. Like a heavier cream smoothie, more parts of natural vanilla and less parts passionfruit, with a bunch of gardenia florals thrown into the blender. La Bonita is also more natural smelling which isn't a deciding factor for me but is noted, although the thick gardenia may be perceived as plastic-like. One spray is so projecting, sillage massive in the air. Very luxe feeling and so smooth, and makes the price somewhat justifiable. I got the 30 mL so I don't mind having it.

Mmmmmmmm that smells like a rich sponge cake soaked in extremely expensive oak barrel aged cognac with its earthy and woody undertones. Warming and kinda “wet”. With nice and creamy sweetness of tropical fruits. Follow me on IG: scent.guide
