Msheireb

Another beautiful rose/amber perfume by Fueguia. Rose/amber perfumes have been done a thousand times. There it is not unique but it is the quality that counts and the quality here again is outstanding. I have a full bottle of Alhambra. Alhambra is my personal favorite of all the compositions I tested so far at Fueguia. Alhambra has exquisite different facets of amber supporting the rose. In Msheireb I get a thicker, more dense rose. A more dark assertive rose. Best on a mature man or woman I think.

Msheireb Fueguia 1833. A thick garnet wine in a blackened silver glass. Petals of languid noir burgundy rose scattered on velvet. Overripe red berries drowning in amber resins. Dried fruits drizzled with honey as liquid as gold. Sandalwood fans decorated with carvings and silk. Precious oily sound of oud, somewhat unfamiliar to Europeans, but native to Orientals (with a warm poo 💩 which is to my liking). A precious ruby of a collection.

A simple but exquisite creation commissioned to celebrate the philanthropy of the Qatari royal family, this is beautiful Arabian nights stuff. Opening with an exquisite Taif rose, it moves to a buttery ambergris middle and settles on a bed of plant based pheromone musks and sandalwood. Many parallels with Thameens otherworldly Palace Oud. Unisex scent with moderate to strong sillage and excellent longevity. Dreamy heady stuff. Enjoy!

Syrupy rose pulling a mildly middle eastern feel through a unique ambergris resinous accord, thick yet not overwhelming. The rose itself is quite sweet and playful, not honeyed like rose absolute, instead relying on the base to become more mature, but that fades away as it dries down, leaving only a beautiful feminine rose. Not the most unique creation by Fueguia, but instead a beautiful luxurious rose accord that's somewhere between western playfulness and middle eastern opulence, a perfect middle ground in my opinion, it feels more natural and less one dimensional than other rose-ambers that I've tried, having the rose be clearly noticeable, not as some background fruity sweetness.
