Nocturna

I’ve never left a review but thought this one deserved a more positive review than I’ve seen. It is absolutely stunning. I am addicted to this fragrance. It reminds me of a grown up Alien Muse. I quit using my Alien Muse because I was worried I would never get my hands on another bottle and there are times when I want to smell that, but this. THIS!!!! It is bright, warm, and seductive without being overbearing. I can already tell this will be my go to. If you love gourmands, this is it.

I’m not sure why the ratings are so low - though I also don’t really trust them here. This one is stunning. It’s beautifully blended, warm, and has a quiet depth that lingers close to the skin for hours. I get that delicious Mexican vanilla and amber, balanced by the grounding richness of patchouli and cacao. Don’t be afraid of the cacao note -- it’s not sweet or powdery, just a deep, velvety layer that anchors the fragrance. So happy to have a full bottle of this in my collection 🤎

Absolutely gorgeous patchouli-centric fragrance. I'm not a patch fan but I bought a full bottle and am enjoying it greatly. Smells like high-quality ingredients. I am very sensitive to ambroxan and I am not detecting it here...if it is, it's very well-blended.

Gorgeous creation. Artisanal. This is an unfiltered fragrance, highlighting the fact is completely natural. There is no ambroxan as the idiot below stated.

I had the pleasure of sampling Nocturna today and my opinion maybe in the minority, but I did not find this cheap or tacky smelling at all. Sure it may not have the open freshness and refined greenery that Fueguia fragrances often have in common, but it is a pleasant fragrance nonetheless. Yes I agree that it is not totally unique and shares the vibe with some other fragrances from other brands, but it is also priced cheaper than other Fueguia fragrances. I personally find it smooth, pleasant and modern. Unisex leaning slightly feminine pretty versatile scent.

Sophisticated and simply constructed natural ambery scent that is designed as an ode to the fashionable city of Milan. The scent opens with notes of vanilla flower and heads to a heart of patchouli and slight cacao before settling on a bed of an ambery accord (comprised of ambrette and slight ambergris) and plant based musk. There are many amber scents offered by this line and this is one of the lesser ones but it is priced much lower than what usually this brand charges. The unisex scent has moderate sillage and good longevity. It is pleasant and comforting but all this has been done before. Enjoy!

It opens with a spicy, earthy patchouli, the opening is VERY earthy on me - almost smokey, in fact. It quickly dries down into a sweet, chocolaty vanilla, maybe with a hint of musk. It’s a nice fragrance, but (at least on me) it fades completely after an hour.

Warm and wearable, felt comfortable, but didn’t really stand out.

Short version From the start, you can detect slightly tangy patchouli reminiscent of Beagle and dark chocolate from Caoba, all threaded through with ambroxan, which plays a thematic role throughout the life of the fragrance on the blotter and skin. At a certain point, fresh, juicy tropical fruits like dragon fruit, mangosteen, lychee, and rambutan make a bright entrance, later undergoing caramelization. Then, a hint of lightly smoked drunken vanilla pod emerges, evolving into briny, iodine-rich whiskey from the Orkney Islands. In the dry-down, the scent is predominantly ambroxan. First sniff— I bring my hand to my nose... After 5 seconds, fear envelops me—what is this Tiziana Terenzi Kirke? Acrid, cheap woody amber notes. I wait a bit and then bring my hand close to my nose again; it smells pleasant, sour fruits, cold and very juicy passionfruit. It’s like taking Mbucuruyá and adding "cold, juicy roughness." As soon as I move my hand away, a cheap and nauseating smell of woody amber develops. I had no expectations for this perfume, so I consider the experiment successful. Initially, the description of real Mexican vanilla in the ingredients evoked rich imagery, like the recently tried attar Vanilla Barka by Amouage, but not this time. Fueguia has fragrances with very high-quality woody amber notes—such as Patagonia, with its cold, northern scent of trees, and the exceptional Yaguareté. It's unclear what had such an impact on Nocturna, whether it’s IFRA or yet another probing of the European market for popular scents (like the case of the sparkling soda Nectar de Coral). I took a long time to find the right word—POPULAR. Pop. A cheap, smelly club perfume with a sharp sillage, for someone who doesn’t care what they spray on themselves. Yet it smells amazing and juicy up close. By the time I got home, the fragrance had drained me, as if radiation were slowly killing me. I had to air out the room and "recover" with other pleasant scents. Let's see what comes out in October-November (2 fragrances dedicated to the Stradivarius violin are announced) from Fueguia for $20,000.

Very synthetic smell, could easily be something from eastern brand.

First and foremost, there is no ambroxan here. How anyone could think so is beyond me. Earthen patchouli, a little dank and wet at the beginning, soon sweetened and dried by true vanilla and flakey cacao husk. The amber here glows from the bottom up, it's like that patchouli was soon enough crystalized by a low primordial heat. This is a slow burn from the planet's core. It is not particularly original but it is a glittering showcase of the finest of each its parts. It is addictive and magnificently beautiful.

This is VERY similar to Henry Rose Dark is Night. You don’t need both and one is significantly more affordable. It’s lovely though, if you enjoy patchouli & vanilla. Only difference is the amber added to Nocturna that Dark is Night doesn’t have.
