Rosa de los Vientos

I finally got my hands on this beauty and I am not a single bit disappointed. It is even better than what I have remembered it to be. This is a woody-rose, which has a slight powdery accord and a slight amber smell to it, at least on my skin. I can better describe it as a smell of beautiful rose oil with a little bit of freshness and little bit of wood. There is also something slightly oily in it (similar to the “oily” accord in Flores Negras from the same brand), which I feel comes out in the middle and then goes away. I very much enjoy it, but I also really like Flores Negras as well. I do agree with Nessers below in that Rosa de la Patagonia is indeed a gorgeous fragrance as well, but to me they are very different roses. In my opinion, Rosa de la Patagonia is equal parts rose and oud, while Rosa de Los Vientos is much more of a rose scent than anything else (with very unique “oily” accord). Some people may like one and will not like the other. I love both and eventually hope to get Rosa de la Patagonia as well. I am glad that the performance seem to be better on me then what I remember, I got good longevity with moderate to intimate sillage.

This fragrance is stunning. It is so well blended and captivating. No note in Rosa de los Vientos is too much or out of place. It is on the pricier side of the brands offerings, but it is simply stunning. I want a bottle.

I'm going to be very honest today. I have zero patience for multiple reasons, but primarily my period is kicking my ass this morning. So here comes my beloved segment no bullshit Nessers back at it again with another review. I don't like it. Lol. That's pretty much as blunt as I can get. The one previous to this, Patagonia Rose, is much better. Much much better. The previous one is a traditional Rose oud combo done very well. This one feels like it's all over the place. I wouldn't call it bad. Nothing from this house is bad. This one is marginally sweet, kind of floral but not really, something powdery in the background but not enough to call a vintage. Perhaps that's what it is. The powdery mix of the rose is giving near disappointing reactions. It's just my least favorite style of fragrance. I'm sure someone would really enjoy this. However, feel free to go through my profile and see if your style matches my own. If it does, skip over this particular fragrance. It's not going to be for you. It would be a very traditionally feminine woman and again, the quality is outstanding. But make sure it matches your style before you spend $530.
