What a beautiful fragrance! Really. I hate how under hyped this brand really is, particularly this fragrance. This house deserves so much more credit than it gets. TAGORE references the Nobel prize winner in poetry. Rabindranath Tagore From India. He stayed there with Victoria Ocampo. Where “there” is I'm not quite sure. If they had a romantic relationship I'm not so sure either. But I do know they discussed many things. And I do know this fragrance is a blend between two beautiful minds. It is a simple fragrance, but executed quite beautifully. This website is missing a couple of notes. Chamomile is not listed, but it is on the official website. And you can tell. There is a gentle breeze of chamomile drifting throughout the fragrance in its entirety. Yes there is coriander, but there is also cilantro leaves. A little bit of cardamom and ambrette and that's pretty much it. And it is one of the best I have smelled in a very long time! This fragrance house does not market the way others do, and I actually appreciate that. They do not send out free bottles in exchange for positive reviews. They don't do any trendy exchanges. None of that. But because of this, they do suffer in name recognition and popularity. They survived by word of mouth. If you know you know I suppose.

A simple and elegant stunner. With just 3 notes: Ambrette, Coriander and Cardamom with the usual brand signature plant based musk , this is a lovely creation. The scent is a tribute to Indian poet/painter Nobel laureate Rabindraranath Tagore, his travels in Argentina, and his love affair with Victoria Ocampo. The fragrance is an ambery aromatic that is evocative and sensual. My first introduction to this favorite house. Unisex, strong projection/ lasting power and well blended. Enjoy!

I don't know if it's for the spices, cinnamon or caubreva, but this reminds me of the Library of Babel...

Mossy, green, musky, aromatic, soft spicy, woody - it feels like a combo of basil/spearmint/crushed leaves + cedar essential oils. Very reminiscent of Amouage's Memoir Man, if it was more grassy. Has an aromatherapy/spa/traditional oil medicine vibe into it but, unfortunately it's mid.

As always, expectations that are too high is never a good thing. Is there oud in here? My impression is this could be an Amouage-perfume. Typically masculine, for autumn, quite ’soft for being strong’. I struggle to see what’s special about this. The composition is, quite honestly, not very interesting, or unique. This is above all soft-spicy. Aromatic, but more soft-spicy. If it was more aromatic, and fresher, I might have liked it more. Very simple. Too simple. It’s nice, but not really my style. Too normative. The quality is nice, but not exceptional. Overrated (or even manipulated reviews on Fragrantica?), I think you can pass this one.

This is an extremely unique perfume line that combines that natural flora and fauna of the Patagonian pampas. I had the unique pleasure of visiting the only boutique in the US in New York City and I was overwhelmed at the vast array of fragrances but bought this one. It was a chilly and rainy afternoon in the Big Apple when I first tried Tagore and I was smitten by its earthy spice and exotic warmth. Now I must try it again in the Southern California sun and see how it smells. I love to think of the faraway pampas and that I am wearing a bit of its savage beauty along with the passionate love two people from very different lands shared.
