Angel Dust

Angel Dust is popular right now and I understand why. It's a beautiful creamy and peppery veil that has legs(meaning it has longevity). Angel Dust is marketed as a "your skin but better" fragrance, which it is, but I believe this also may be a bit of the problem with its detractors. If you're expecting something you can't smell or can barely smell, Angel Dust isn't it. Having experienced "skin scent" offerings from Glossier's You line, Escentric Molecule, J.H.A.G., Another 13, snif, various M.E. dupe brands, and plenty I'm sure I am forgetting I must say that Angel Dust most certainly does offer a unique wear in my experience. Angel Dust is a bit thicker than most skin scents I've experienced. It doesn't seem to come and go but remains much more present and consistent. Make no mistake Angel Dust isn't Ombre Nomad, this isn't a beastly fragrance. It's just punchier than the majority of its counter parts. I've read a few reviews that consider Angel Dust a pepper bomb or an overly masculine fragrance. Both of which I have to disagree with. The pepper in Angel Dust is noticable but at no point do I find it unpleasant. One of my biggest compliments towards Angel Dust is that, unlike many skin scents, it's noticable and at no point do I get anosmic. I believe this is in part thanks to it's peppery and more "masculine" qualities. Is Angel Dust a bit more masculine than anything from the Glossier You line, yes. But does wearing Angel Dust make me feel like the Marlboro Man. Absolutely not. Most guys I know wouldn't consider wearing a fragrance like Angel Dust, it's not and will never be a "masculine" scent. Is it a bit masculine leaning, sure. In a category that is by definition and nature of ingredients going to lean feminine Angel Dust standing out as a bit more masculine is actually a pleasant surprise for me. Angel Dust is certainly an all year fragrance. There's enough substance for colder weather and nothing that would make it cloying in high heat. It's certainly a daytime fragrance in my mind, there's not enough on its own to hold up in a bar or nightclub where it would have to compete against other fragrances and strong scents in the environment. Overall, Angel Dust is a great fragrance for the days you don't want to think about what you're wearing. Situations where you may need to exercise a little consideration. Lazy days around the house. I found it. I finally found that perfect scent. I've always wanted to love skin scents. Glossier You? No, too peppery and sharp. Juliette Has a Gun? Smells oddly plastic on me. But Angel Dust... Oh my god. The moment I smelled it, my hands literally started shaking. I haven't been this excited about a perfume in a very long time. The name drew me in at first, but honestly, I think this fragrance was made for both angels and devils. When I close my eyes, I find myself walking into an abandoned temple under the moonlight. Tall candles illuminate the space, and across from me sits a girl. Her legs are crossed, as if she owns the place. She looks like the kind of woman people write legends about and then spend centuries trying to forget. She wears innocence like a veil, thin enough to see the danger underneath. She slowly brushes her soft, long hair over one shoulder. Her beauty isn't gentle. It's the kind that makes you take a step closer even when every instinct tells you not to. The closer you get, the less it smells like perfume and the more it smells like her. It's a fragrance which chooses its people. It feels like it waits for someone to come close enough to deserve it. From afar, it’s soft and almost blurry. But up close, it becomes something more intimate, more human; like the air itself turns slightly heavier, more personal. It's warm, yet somehow cold at the same time. The sweetness sits perfectly between those two extremes and balanced so beautifully. It feels like amber that has been softened by touch, musk that has been warmed by breath, powder that sits not on the skin but with it. It's like the sweet scent of freshly washed hair blending effortlessly with someone's natural skin scent with the wind. The scent of someone who looks innocent until you meet their eyes. Smells like a guardian angel with a criminal record. Smells like a memory you didn’t live but still miss. I honestly can't describe it properly. It creates a scent bubble around you. And it's absolutely a compliment magnet. The day I wore it, several people commented that something smelled amazing, but they couldn't figure out what it was. I just giggled and kept my secret. This is such a special perfume, and I'm completely obsessed with it. Right now I only have a decant, but this will definitely be the first full bottle I buy. One more thing: if you really want to amplify that contrast between danger and innocence and completely bathe yourself in angel dust, layer it with Vanilla Powder Extrait and prepare to be blessed.

I just have to leave a review on this one beacuse I hadn't sprayed her in a while, but when I did just now... Oh my god, I fell in love once again! Angel Dust is sooo incredibly special! I feel like it's a skin-scent type of fragrance, but also so much more. It's kinda heavy on the pepper note in the opening, so beware of that, haha! But after it has settled, it balances so well with the warm, soft, intimate and embracing notes of musk, cashmere and amber. I don't experience the bergamot as citrusy here, it's rather just clean and modern. I get just a hint of sweetness, which just makes it even more perfect. I just find this fragrance so comforting, but also very versatile. Like, I love to just wear this at home, since it feels cozy and embracing. However, it's also kinda cool and even sexy?? I mean; soft, warm skin, a bit of spice, intimate cashmere and a hint of something sweet... Sounds sexy to me! It is also very chic though. Clean, minimalistic yet cool and spicy. I received mine in September, and I thought that it was only fit to be a fall/winter scent, but actually, no. It has this magic ability to smell warm, cozy and inviting during fall/winter, and then more soft, comforting and clean during spring?! Truly amazing actually! If you consider buying it - DO IT! You won't regret it, unless you're really sensitive against peppery notes. As I wrote, it's so versatile and would make the best signature scent!

A fitting name for a fragrance that draws the pulse to the nose; I've sat playing chess and chain smoking in the garden many nights with this powdery ambery musk on my skin; distracted by its allure--its warmth. First time I tested Angel Dust in public, I sat in my local coffee shop and asked outright, "what'd' you guys think of this perfume?" "Yeah, no, horrible," three or four fucking voices respond. Baffled, I put it down for months. I picked it up again a few nights ago and decided today that maybe I had too much on, or maybe they don't know what they're talking about, or maybe it's just not for everyone; however, I'm telling you now, potential reader, that I am smitten, and if I had a lover who wore this, then I'd fall hard. I can't explain it--it's a cuddly, sexy, warm fragrance; it's two bodies entwined beneath a candlelit sky breathing one another and nothing matters. Nothing. It's the hairs on the nape of your neck dancing to a tacky soundtrack. I fucking love it, and I don't normally dig this kinda thing. 7.7/10 light but not airy. Romantic. Not for everyone apparently. Perfect bedtime scent. Actually perfect for a self date, dinner, a bath, sleeping naked. Pamper yourself, babe!

Beautiful skin scent, in the same vein with L’Eau Papier and Glossier You, but instead of powdery/floral aspect coming from iris, in Angel Dust there’s a bit of soft spiciness coming from black pepper. I think for those who love a clean musky, warm scent Angel Dust might be a great choice. It’s nothing groundbreaking to make it clear, but for days when you just want to smell clean and wear something minimalistic, this is nice. Gender and season wise, Angel Dust is a versatile perfume. Built around notes like musk, pepper, amber and cashmeran, there’s nothing inappropriate for either gender to wear in my opinion. Personally, I don’t get any citrus from this scent. I think it is a beautiful anytime fragrance. Since it’s a soft, subtle musk at core, it can be worn most of seasons, except especially cold weather. I bought a travel size of this and I quite enjoy it. For casual wear and outfit, it’s a no brainier! Don’t expect much sillage, but has impressive longevity on clothing, way better than Glossier’s You in my experience! Would recommend testing it and giving it a proper wear, first time I worn it I found it quite underwhelming but it really grown on me.

At first I thought this smelled just like Snif Me so I was just like why get this when Snif Me costs less? After more time with my sample I changed my mind and it has won me over. It lasts a very long time on skin. Which I like. And while this and Snif Me do smell similar to my nose, this one is more molecular (I love a molecular scent most of the time). I interestingly enough don't get a lot of the pepper in this. I get juicy bergamot and ambery cashmere musk and maybe a hint of pepper. It's very addicting and I cant stop reaching for it! It pretty much goes with everything as far as layering too. I've gotten to a point with my perfume collecting where I opt for 30-50 ml bottles because I don't need 100 mls of stuff that I am only reaching for every so often but when I run out of my 50 ml of this I'll be getting the 100 ml because it's for sure 100 ml worthy for me.

This is the electric sheep androids must dream of. Sugar-pepper static. True neutral on the DnD alignment axis. A dry, clean musk that manages to come off both comforting and aloof. It smells like wool, if it came from synthetic sheep. (Which is what I suppose cashmeran is). Sweet and sterile. I feel like I need to be wearing monochrome Jil Sander in this. It’s pleasantly uncanny, in the same vein as Ganymede or Ghost in the Shell. I get strong “computer air” and “fresh carpet” accords from this. Love a good liminal scent. Lasts days in fabric, too. Mental Snapshot: A white noise machine purring in a whitewashed gallery. Yourself in head-to-toe white cashmere. You spill powdered sugar on virgin carpet. But in a purposeful, modern art kind of way. It’s a masterpiece. tl;dr: white noise gourmand 🐑🤖

I am typically drawn towards scents with a stronger sillage than this one, but the comfort provided by Angel Dust is one I can't ignore... It's really beautiful. As others have noted, it's kind of reminiscent of a warm kitten's fur, in a fluffy blanket, with powdery musk. I am not a fan of Glossier You at all, despite it being a similarly lauded skin scent, but I think this profile is instead a lot warmer than the floral pepper notes of that OG scent. Angel Dust is inviting, but fleeting: I'd say within 4 hours. A bit of an intimate secret between you and whoever goes in for a hug. Perfect for incognito days, I guess. I personally layer this with other warm scents like Commodity - Milk.

I absolutely despised the scent at first when I tried my sample. I sprayed it and immediately thought it just was not for me. Then I went back to the sample later on and completely changed my mind. I ended up loving it. Now I have a full bottle and wear it almost every day, usually layered with Another 13 from Le Labo. It has become my go to combo when I want that your skin but better kind of vibe. It is just fire. It leans very unisex, not sweet or traditionally pretty, more on the musky side. I especially love it for just being at home or even at the gym since it never turns into that overwhelming or unpleasant smell. Highly recommend if that is your vibe.

At first, Angel Dust feels almost innocent, but it really isn’t. It has this beautiful way of wrapping around you, making you feel cozy, feminine, and effortlessly put together. The pepper mixed with that soft cashmere accord is what makes it so addictive to me. The drydown is the best part,it doesn’t just sit on the skin, it becomes part of it. On my skin, the projection is just right and the longevity is very good. I reach for it mostly during the day, and I think it works perfectly for the office, the gym, or just everyday wear. It’s comforting without being boring, and I genuinely enjoy every time I wear it. Love it 9/10 overall

Angel dust is the perfect name for this fragrance. A subtle whisper of a scent, it envelops you in a cloud of softness. It is a clean musk; a cosy and comforting, slightly sugary amber fragrance. It is super feminine, girly even. A cashmeran bomb with an intimate sillage. Angel Dust smells like being patted with talcum powder as an infant after bath time and your mother swaddles you in a cashmere blanket that smells faintly of her sweet perfume. If you shun louder florals in favour of ‘You’ by Glossier and Narciso's esteemed musks and you like your fragrances fuzzy, nostalgic and discreet, you will adore this.

I received a sample of this from Liberty perfume store in London (one of the best perfume selections in the world!), I got it as a sample when buying Orto Parisi's Megamare, which is quite different to this for sure, maybe they just had some extra samples lying around. I can't remember the last time a general member of the public complimented me on a scent, but it happened twice on the street with Angel Dust, so I am going to buy it immediately. I am wearing it again today along with Salt and Stone's Saffron and Cedar and think it complements gorgeously. Excited to wear this over the summer.

wow, just wow. i fell in love with this scent immediately after trying my decant and i purchased a full bottle!! i hate the phrase "your skin but better" because its so over used and doesnt offer much of a description, but its such an accurate description of this perfume! Like clean fresh skin wrapped up in a cashmere sweater or blanket. its so comforting, soft and familiar, not sharp or musty at all. its easily my boyfriends favorite perfume on me, it elevates your natural skin scent so beautifully without being overpowering. 10/10 understand the hype.

I don’t know exactly what I’m smelling in this that’s taking me back to my childhood, but smelling this makes me feel incredibly nostalgic. I’m sure there’s a musk in here that must have been in, like, an Avon lotion from 1998 or something. Whatever it is, I love it. I got a decant of this, but the second it’s done I’m upgrading to a full bottle. This is another easy-reach type of scent, in the vein of Clean Reserve Skin or Glossier You [though it doesn’t smell like either of those]. Not sure what to wear? Angel Dust to the rescue!

That’s why I’d say that perfumes are a unique experience, because seeing that people cannot feel or sense anything and they think it smells like nothing, but on me this perfume has developed like crazy and like no other recent perfume that I have. The progression of this gem on my skin is so beautiful and the drydown becomes this cozy, cashmerian like a warm blanket feeling. It makes want to wear it more and more, and it’s so addictive. They have done an incredible job with the composition. I even purchased the body wash.

Wow - skin chemistry really makes a difference with this type of fragrance! This is heavenly, a perfect scent that I keep holding up my wrist to sniff. Makes my eyes roll back in my head. I can't explain the scent except to say that it smells like me but much better. Fresh, clean, musky and a little sweet. Just heavenly. I see some of the comparisons and some, like Cheeky Smile, are absolutely awful on me so yeah, that's a skin chemistry thing. I think everyone can find the one that works for them and this is mine!

I am beyond in love with this. I think Angel Dust is the that ethereal and dreamlike perfume that everyone describes other skin scent fragrances as. I could never get behind JHAG Not a Perfume, Another 13, Molocule 1, etc. But this is incredible. I want to wear it 24/7. It's so nostalgic and addicting, and shockingly, it projects very well for a fragrance of this archetype. Fugazzi has impressed me quite a bit with the three scents I have tried from them. I need to check out the rest of the house!

I never really understood the “your skin but better” tagline for any fragrance until I smelled Angel Dust. It’s a fresh, powdery, slightly citrus musk that is a perfect clean & cozy scent. Any season, any gender, any weather. I struggle with other Fugazzi scents sometimes feeling too synthetic or harsh, but even overspraying this one stays really inoffensive for me. It’s also the goat for layering imo, will brighten up any fragrance you pair it with, without ruining the character of either one.

I purchased this during the winter months and I liked it but never went crazy over it. I started reaching for it again since the weather is getting warmer and I want lighter scents. I layered it with gris charnel edp the other day and Blanche Bete. I’ve gotten really intense (lol) compliments both days, so it does something in the air that’s intoxicating to others. It elevates other scents and makes your pass by air beautiful. I’m excited to keep it in the rotation this spring and summer.

First Impressions: Angel Dust might be my Goldilocks skin scent. It’s warm, ambery and musky, but not in a vintage soapy or powdery way. In fact, I don’t find this to be very powdery at all. Finally, a musk scent that’s not all iris! I get a touch of the pepper and bergamot, enough to make the scent interesting but they don’t stick out. I dislike most ‘molecular’ scents. This feels really modern, but not synthetic. Overall, Angel Dust is very well blended and easy to love.
