Ethyl Vanillin

Wow. This is a really sensual and sexy vanilla upon first spray. Something in it reminds me of Hypnotic Poison. I haven’t done a full wear test but the first hour or so is really enjoyable. So far, this is something I hope to keep in my collection for years to come. I think it’s a great scent for any season or time of day. Update: lasts 8-10 hours on my skin. First half of mainly vanilla, amber with a hint of jasmine. Last couple of hours are woody with a little of the caramel peaking through. Very nice. I layered it with Angel Dust today.

I get the comparison with hypnotic poison, it’s there if you want to smell it. Kind of powdery. But I also get a lot of Bianco latte vibes, just less heavy on the sweet vanilla but more added woodiness. I love this scent.

Very basic vanilla but I enjoy it. At the beginning for me it smells a bit like almonds and flowers and they dries down as vanilla with hint of caramel. Want to thank the person in reviews that gave me the idea to pair it with Angel Dust, works perfectly as I was thinking this fragrance would've been much better with a hint of pepper.

On initial spray you get a blast of sweet jasmine and amber. They dry down is mostly sandalwood and a touch of caramel and vanilla. I wouldn’t say this fragrance is gourmand but it’s still really nice. On my skin it’s a bit creamy and woody. I will keep this because it’s perfect for fall.

Wow, I can smell this for a total of 15 seconds before it completely disappears. While it’s there though- it smells like burnt sugar and incense with maybe a hint of florals.

Has anyone sampled this already? How’s the vanilla? Less powdery, more gourmand (hopefully)?
