#62 of My Fragrance Journey - Sugardaddy by Fugazzi: A Sugar Rush with a Spicy Twist The name pulled me in straight away. Sugardaddy. I knew I wanted whatever that fantasy was selling. And honestly? I’m sure about it - both the name and the scent. They match. They commit. It opens loud. No easing in. Just sugar - thick, sticky, almost fluorescent. Tangerine and black currant exploding like a candy spill under club lights. It’s playful, borderline obnoxious, and kind of thrilling. If you’re waiting for a polite citrus moment... don’t. This is pure dopamine, straight to the nose. Then - about half an hour later - the sweetness tightens. Darkens. Clove and nutmeg push through, dry and almost medicinal, like an old apothecary hiding behind the candy shop. It’s a weird pivot. Jarring, even. But also... smart? The flirt turns serious. The smile drops. You start listening differently. The dry-down is where it finally exhales. Cashmeran, ambergris, soft musky warmth. Sugar, but melted into skin. Fuzzy. Intimate. I’ve caught traces of it the next morning - on sheets, on clothes. It lasts forever (easily 10+ hours), though after the first few it stops projecting and stays close. Personal. Almost tender. I’ll admit it - sweet scents like this are everywhere right now, and I’m tired of most of them. But this one earns its place. The transition is bold. Risky. On the wrong skin, those spices could go cloying or medicinal fast. Definitely not a blind buy. But when it works? It really works. Modern, nostalgic, loud, soft. A bit unhinged. A bit addictive. This smells lovely. The only way I can describe this fragrance: it smells like the colour pink. (Even though the liquid from the bottle I tried was clear!) it really just smells like the colour pink somehow! To be honest I don’t get many notes listed, I think maybe because it’s just blended so well ! The black currant note definitely makes sense though - I can get that ! This is a pretty cosy scent - I would probably be more drawn to wear it in winter/ autumn or on a cool spring/ summer evening ! (Or even a cooler spring/ summer day) so still quite versatile. I do think this leans slightly feminine, but I’m a guy and I think it suits me and would wear it ! (I think the feminine touch to it is what draws me to it too!) and would also been keen to share it with my girlfriend! It does have a teeny synthetic quality to it, but it still smells great ! I think you definitely don’t need to overspray this one! Also after I tried it in store, I went to another shop maybe half an hour later and the girl at the counter said I smell nice and asked what I was wearing! I mean that’s a pretty good sign, right ? Performance is really really good, I get at least 9 hours on skin! This definitely feels like a fun fragrance - it encapsulates the whole vibe I think Fugazzi is going for. (Also this smells so much better on my skin than on the tester strip! There was a kind of sharp herbal type smell I got on the tester strip at one point - I think it may be that the cloves note overpowered on paper for a bit?) anyway ! I love it!

Smells like a fun workplace crush. This is the fragrance is you would wear out after work to an office party you actually want to be going to. Staying professional but knowing you can let your hair down a bit, and let yourself draw some special attention. You choose to put on a crisp white shirt, but take a cashmere sweater on top, staying clean cut and put together, but secretly hoping for the soft touch of that person who you caught looking at you one too many times. It's the perfect balance of alluring - a little warm and a little sweet spiced, with a hidden woody note, but still fresh - citrusy, clean, and upbeat. The tangerine and blackcurrant balance out eachother's sweet and sour perfectly, creating a fresh scent with a sweetness that's hard to place, that the warm spice perfectly plays in to. The perfect flirt means you know they're flirting, but can't prove it. This fragrance embodies that sensation in a scent. An extremely versatile day to night, with good longevity and sillage, and an unexpected addition to my collection. I came across it while out and about and ordered it immediately as I got home, and have gotten plenty of wears out of it since.

This is a very happy but in the same time sexy scent! Bright, playful, it smells like the colour pink, i truly love Sugardaddy! It’s very long lasting, on skin it lasts for like 10 hours with strong projection, and then it starts to fade but really slow, i can smell it on me on the next day after 1-2 showers. And on clothes it lasts for ages, until you wash them. I enjoy that DNA of Baccarat Rouge that is present in this perfume, but it’s not like Baccarat at all, it’s more fruity, sweet and strong, i can detect the blackcurrant, tangerine and nutmeg so easy...I love spices, and this one it is a very good fruity-spiced masterpiece. I associate this with winter and Christmas, but it’s an all year rounder, it will go very well in spring and fall too, and maybe even in summer, but not in the heat.

This is such a beautiful and intersting fragrance, probably my second favorite from Fugazzi after Workaholic. Spiced up tangerine, soft jasmine and ambergris. Initially it felt like a candy shop blast, where the candy aspect is the candy floss type sweetness as in BR540, but!! While I can not wear and bear BR540, here some interesting things happen: there is a lot of nutmeg and cloves and they make the tangerine appear as almost dried Christmas orange slice-that dense, dry, sweetened citrus. Yet, I wouldn't call it Christmas cookie or Christmas-y scent. It's decadent, if it has to be an image of something, it would be an over the top cocktail in orange-red-yellow layers, with dried fruit slices, lots of spices sprinkled on top, bright colors and sugar-rimmed glass.

It is very comparable to Narcos'is by Vertus which I adore, with very higher quality for this one. It's a very high dose of quality. ........ The scent starts with equilibrium of citrusy, green, sweet fruity & somewhat spicy notes that last for few minutes. Then, it's the heavenly delicious step in which the the sweet black current and spicy nutmeg come up to the top, and the citrusy green notes with some woods comeback to the background to give that elegant dark deepness, which is making that delicious alluring unique scent. Longevity & siliage are more than moderate. I LOVE ❤️

It's sweet, fruity, spicy and woody at the same time. Very long lasting and above average performance. Looking at "perfume reminds me of" section, not quite BR 540 (540 is more gentle and airy) but to me it actually closer to Oud for Greatness (by the woody structure and the way it performs on you). Not a clone of either above really, just in the same style I should say. Very nice, hard to find and definitely worth checking out if the above sounds interesting to you.

mmm this is great. It reminds me slightly of Imaginary Authors Saint Julip, but I didn't care for the EDP, so I bought the body oil, which comes off a lot creamier. This perfume is crisp AND just enough cream to not be too sweet. It does remind me of Christmas too.

This smells like December - festive and Christmassy probably because of tangerine and nutmeg and clove. But I also smell almost a Christmas tree. Anyone else getting it? I was wearing it all the time in December, made me very happy.

wow, this is absolutely lovely!! spicy and sweet cloves combined with the freshness of black currant and tangerine. one of the best and most unique fragrances ive smelled recently, fresh and spicy but in a very unisex way.

It smells like Christmas! Although it's the only time I wear it, the sweet and spice is delightful and inviting/warm for the season. I truly enjoy it. I work from home but I foresee it an excellent office-wear choice.

It is very calm, and dosent smell like anything i have smelled before. Tangerine is so much more prominent on skin than on paper. It smells like rich bestie, dark feminine.

All time favorite for me. Very unique smell, very classy. You can use this for many occasions but def also for office. A smell that makes me happy.

Soft spiced citruses blended with the most syrupy sweet blackcurrant juice and a strong white floral presence from jasmine. It does have a fruity sweetness but it’s not overpowering or smelling completely immature! The base notes are very subtle and what I get most out all of them is the cashmeran, which gives Sugardaddy a very subtle, cozy feel. Overall, slightly overpriced for the performance, which is moderate at best, at least on skin. Haven’t tested it yet on clothing, so I’m keeping the final verdict open. I’d say also it smells more feminine than I was anticipated just by looking at the notes listed, because on me the jasmine and the overripe blackcurrant are predominant, rather than the nutmeg/cloves/patchouli/moss/ambergris. Would I upgrade from the travel size to the full size bottle?? No, I wouldn’t! It’s nice and sweet and fruity but it has similarities with Parfum 1 and I prefer Parfum 1 over Sugarddady! It’s more complex, richer and more nuanced.

I was so looking forward to this one, with a fun name like Sugardaddy! I was thinking it would be a lot like Love Don't Be Shy with a spicy twist. Instead, this was more scratchy and darker, not warm and fluffy and attractive like the name implied. I was expecting to love it but it was a like for me. Now, Angel Dust is a hallelujah let's go, and Vanilla Haze is a creamy dreamy delight! Maybe I'll revisit this one in a few weeks to see if it's improved with some maceration!

this is super nice actually, on the spray it's very fresh, citrus, mostly mandarins and tangerines, but there's cassis and dark berries in there too that are really pleasing, and they intensify on the dry down, like a very fresh winter berries bush with a bit of spice. super comfy, sweet, sexy and it has depth, feels pretty versatile too but so far this feels like a great candidate for a date perfume

Interesting! A lightly spiced citrus scent. I can see why some people say it smells like Christmas - I get that vibe. However it’s very toned down; this isn’t an in-your-face fruitcake type scent. It might actually be the poorer for it, I would have liked the perfumer to take this idea and run it with more boldly. It’s got great potential.

I like it. I weared it yesterday for the 1st time and got complimented. It is nice, not that unique I think, and I cannot put my finger on any specific note. But overall I am pleased, I got the 8 ml travel size bottle and will use it with pleasure. However, I am not going for a full bottle afterwards.

This one is interesting. I feel like I'm anosmic to it because I can't detect any specific note, and I can't smell it on myself during the day :D I don't get any jasmine or black currant, and it's definitely not sweet at all. It just smells spicy

This is suchhhhhh a vibe. Beautiful fresh opening, juicy citrus. Then quickly begins to mellow into something spicy and sweet. Kind of has a similar vibe to Hot Milk by Hilde Soliani. Its longevity is weak though.

The scent starts off sharp and bright, like opening a window on a warm morning. After it settles, it becomes smoother and more wearable. It has its moments where it smells really nice

Sweet and very strong. Never smelled anything like it before - loved the initial spray, but it's getting a little tiring 6+ hours later. Would make a great candle scent.

This one is kind of a basic. It has a nice tamed citrus with a heavy musky cashmeran feel with a subtle sweetness. I also get some sort of a piney/spicy christmas feel.

this is actually so unique! sweet without coming off juvenile, and such an interesting spice! i'm still so torn on wether i want the full size but it has me intrigued.

Spicy, woody, cloves, cinnamon, like chai latte. Not very strong but fits great for a winter day. Interesting!

Got the Fugazzi sampler pack from Lucky Scent. Sugardaddy takes me straight back to my nights working the vice beat in 08 as the Great Recession was unfolding. The scent definitely doesn’t unfold politely on my skin. It hits like the neon buzz of a flickering West Colfax @ Federal motel sign at 3:22 a.m., equal part alluring and equal part skankgerous. There’s that sweet, almost sticky note upfront, like the cheap perfume that lingered in the air of certain she's your private dancer clubs, layered over clove cigarette smoke and jasmine glitter desperation. It’s all dirty patchouli grit underneath. It's musky leather, a whisper of sweat, and something metallic that reminds me of counting out marked bills before a sting. Sugardaddy is too raw to be a clean fragrance. It carries the tension of walking into a dimly lit LoDo bar where everyone knows you’re not really there for the drinks. It smells of bravado and cover stories, of conversations that never make it into our reports, of chasing the line between temptation and professionalism. It’s sorta slick, kinda dangerous, and oddly intoxicating, just like the early 21st century midwestern vice world itself.

Smelt it on paper and it was a fresh spicy scent, perfect for sunny fall days. However on my skin it is very apple and clove-y and in the dry down it is a basic vanilla. I am glad I only got a gifted decant, it is nice but the sillage is very intimate (almost cant smell it on myself after 3h). I am sure someone who wants a clean green spicy scent would love this. It is very much out-of-the-shower clean. I like it but not my cup of tea on myself !

spiced citrus and blackcurrant juice! so ripe and sweet, you would think it leans youthful but it truly is a sweet and sexy mature fragrance. the spices add a layer of depth that cut through the blackcurrant, which stops it from becoming cloying. not something i'd wear personally, but i know the coolest girls at the bar are spraying this all over each other in the bathrooms

This is a bit of a love-hate for me. If I spray more than a couple sprays or smell it too closely, it fries my nose and smells like pine scented cleaning solution. But, if I spray a little and let it waft around me, I feel like I'm standing in a forest made of gummy candies. An acquired taste for sure.

I like it! A little sweeter than I expected. I tried it at Nordstrom without knowing the notes. I was expecting something a bit more masculine and metallic because of the name. But it's more subdle and unisex. Wish that ambergris note was more prominent.

I like it and I don’t like it, it has a cleaning product vibe and once you smell that with a fragrance it’s hard to unsmell it however this is a nice scent and quite unique. It preforms well but its about £50 overpriced!

This fragrance reminds me of the Mike and Ike candies with added spiciness. Performance and projection is great! Honestly this does have some similarities to Haltane just without the strong Oud.

Fruity-sweet and synthetic zesty-less citrus (aka orange/ tangerine/ grapefruit) bomb with a hint of nutmeg. Somewhat linear and candy like.

Something I would wear on Thanksgiving or Christmas. Heavy on clove and nutmeg. Try it fiest

Smells like fruit punch that has been left out for too long.

‘Sugardaddy’ is here to really give you some sugar. Literally. It is so much sugar that you can almost feel it gritting between your teeth. It smells like how it tastes to eat gummy candy, and you can smell that slightly artificial blackcurrant flavouring. But for me, the fun stops there. When it dries down on my skin, a sour and off putting nutmeg and clove scent emerges. I did get that on the paper strip as well, but I prayed and hoped that it wouldn’t be as intense on my skin – I was wrong. Don’t take my words for your own truth, because I am not a fan of nutmeg in fragrances, it doesn’t work with my skin chemistry at all, which this fragrance really confirms for me. It really goes to show that even though this perfume smells really sweet and nice when I just sniff the bottle, it is something entirely different when tried on skin. Four hours in, still on my skin, it is still the nutmeg and sugar-y blackcurrant that is showing itself to me. I can get behind the fruitchouli, and maybe the moss, but the other notes are disappearing in a synthetic mess. But the sillage is still as strong as it was right after application, so if you get to smell the other notes, and your skin is reacting better to this fragrance than mine; good for you! In summary, this is unfortunately not for me, even though I like the concept and innovation from Fugazzi. The name tho... I don’t get it. Is it just a subtle try at being edgy because the perfume is so sugar-y sweet? Or is this how a sugardaddy is supposed to smell? If it is the latter I certainly do not want one

I so wanted to love this, but alas. The opening is brilliant, and I kept sniffing - loved the explosion of tangerine and bergamot, and a little bit of spice. But then ... within an hour it morphed into a cloying, syrupy-sweet, overpowering scent and unfortunately the freshness of the opening completely dissolved. I guess it is the jasmine which was too overpowering to my tastes. In the dry down it morphs again, this time into a more herbal, faintly sweet&spicy concoction that lasts and lasts and lasts. I think it is ok in this phase, just not what I am looking for alas.

Started out fruity and sweet but then quickly became so savory and spicy it literally smells like a turkey provolone sandwich... I guess that’s what you get mixing cloves with those salty smoky base notes. It’s actually making me laugh how much it smells like a hot sandwich 💀 I never thought a fragrance would take me back to my first job working at panera but here we are

I thought I would really enjoy this based off the notes, particularly clove, jasmine and nutmeg. I find it lackluster and short lived, barely 2-3 hours with multiple sprays. Glad I only have a travel size. Renaming it sucralose lame uncle.

Starts out smelling really delicious, almost like an indian dessert, but then ends up becoming too sickly sweet when mixed with the patchouli, began giving me a bit of a headache after the 2 hour mark
