Cloudland

I loved this perfume. It’s definitely a far cry from what it's marketed as, but I found myself very pleasantly surprised. While I don't think Cloudland is necessarily the cozy second-skin scent I've seen pitched online, it's definitely worth a try if you're into fresh, mossy notes and also enjoy a good cashmere/soft musk scent. To me, it opens very bright and fresh. Clean, citrusy and slightly green, softened and sweetened a bit by white florals, slightly reminiscent of fresh laundry like a lot of people have mentioned. As it lingers in your nose, though, you get a bit of this mossy, petrichor-esqe note that I really adore. I think it cuts through the freshly laundered linen smell and adds a bit of earthiness that grounds the perfume as a whole. As it dries down you continue to get a bit more of the moss note as well as the nice musky/cashmere base. I really like how the scent settles into my skin. It's a comfortable, almost cozy, dry down that carries just enough of that green, earthy edge to keep it interesting, but not so much that it overpowers the softness of the cashmere and the florals. Cloudland is a very evocative perfume for me. It reminds me of visiting my grandparents at their house on a lake out in central Texas. The image that came to mind when I first smelled it was coming back to the house after spending the day out on the lake, getting flung off of an inner tube tied to the back of a speed boat over and over while your uncle behind the wheel tries his best to give you and your cousins brain damage from how hard you hit the water, and finally climbing into bed after washing off the dirty Texas lake water. And as you curl up under the covers, exhausted and a little sunburnt but freshly showered, there’s still the smell of lake water stuck in your nostrils and it mixes with the scent of warm freshly washed sheets. Anyways. That’s what it smells like to me. 10/10, Would recommend.

Based upon my own experience with this product, I have come to the conclusion that this fragrance perfectly encapsulates the vibes and sensations of rainfall. It is a very cozy and intimate scent, with a fresh floral opening and a light citrus musk that remains on your skin for hours! Without a doubt, one of the best performing fragrances that I have owned. I would classify this fragrance as a unisex scent, and one that would be suited for nearly any occasion. I believe this scent would coincide best with moderate to warm weather. For the price point, it would be extremely hard to find a better performing and longer lasting fragrance. Would recommend this heavy hitter to anybody!

Cloudland is great for spring and summer. I also recommend it for a bedtime scent. Wore it to work, and when I walked past someone entering a room they complimented it, saying they enjoyed its fresh profile. There's a note of rain, and it reminds me of what clean laundry drying on the line would smell like if it got caught in a rainstorm. Despite it being fresh, it's cozy. You smell it, and you want to lean in to smell it again. I wanted to add that I got their full discovery set, and this is the bottle I chose to receive with my discount! I was more impressed with their masculine scents. Cloudland is exactly what I was looking for at the time.

I had Shop Cash to blow so I bought a sample of this, among others from the brand, on a whim. This was the best smelling one, which isn’t saying much, as the other samples smelled horrendous. It is a fresh musky scent that has a bright quality to it. I find that it leans more masculine than what I normally go for. It smells bright and refined enough to be a luxury woman’s perfume but the masculinity really comes through in the dry down when it takes on the qualities of the heavier notes. So if you’re a feminine fragrance lover who’s feeling experimental, use a light hand or layer to avoid that men’s deodorant vibe in the dry down.

Smells like clothes fresh from the dryer and has the vibe of those rainy spring days where the sun is just barely hidden behind the clouds. Perfectly unisex, two sprays might be a bit much if you work in a close-quarters office setting, but it's perfect for just about anywhere else. I got it in a sample pack to fill the empty spot when I ordered the fragrances I ACTUALLY wanted to begin with, but a single spritz had me desperately in love, and out of the hundred of fragrances I've tried over the last few years, Cloudland is easily among my top five, if not top three.

The folks who say that this fragrance smells like “baby wipes” have something seriously wrong with their noses. It’s an uplifting musky fragrance that has a lot more complexity than they are letting on. This extrait de parfum has wonderful mossy and woody notes that make me reminisce of rainy spring mornings in the Pacific Northwest. My only complaint is that it’s pricey and doesn’t have the longevity or projection that I usually desire in a fragrance. Nevertheless, I still recommend this fragrance to those who appreciate earthy and clean petrichor fragrances.

I wasn't expecting to like this very much, but it's grown on me quite a bit. Starts off just the tiniest bit astringent but it really settles over time on your skin. The florals start off strong but as time goes on it ends up just this lovely soft and cuddly scent. I don't personally smell the citrus all that much? But it's very fresh and floral at the start. I could see this leaning more feminine to some, but to me I think once it settles on your skin it's solidly unisex.

This is your fresh out of the shower clean and musky scent, but if you were taking your shower with the window open as it rains outside on a crisp spring day on a bed of fresh grass. It’s crisp and cold even, with softly sweet florals, and rainy musks. A lovely take on the fresh and clean scent profile

2nd impression. Comparing this side by side with Musc Invisible and this is better. It's more nuanced with a clean skin smell, slightly sweeter. Citrus is blended in nicely, and the whole thing is more smoothly executed. Scent 87/100

I agree with some of the other comments comparing the scent to shower gel, shampoo, barbershop fragrances. To me it's clean, sweet, floral, did I mention CLEAN. It's really clean—and nice. I enjoy it a lot.

It's good, really good. At first, I thought fresh laundry. Coming back to it, it's just of the shower, honestly it smells like a man's wet hair just after he's washed it. It's really nice.

Cloudland is one of those fragrances I genuinely have to be in the mood for. On my skin, it comes out very fresh, very clean, very laundry — like I accidentally walked through a cloud of high‐end dryer sheets. And listen... I’m the girl who uses twelve dryer sheets at a time because I love the smell of clean clothes, so that’s not a complaint. It’s just a lot. The opening is bright, airy, and almost aggressively clean on me. For the first two hours, it’s honestly a bit much — like the freshness is turned up to eleven and refuses to dial back. It projects, too. This is not a “skin but better” scent on me. It’s too powerful, too insistent, too here I am for that. But once it settles, the dry down becomes really atmospheric — soft, airy woods with a glimmer of fresh musk that feels like standing in a breeze. It’s consistent, steady, and doesn’t really shift moods, but it does soften into something more wearable and almost meditative. Because it leans so clean on me, I actually like to layer it with a heavier, punchier floral to give it some dimension. Something with weight or texture helps anchor all that freshness so it doesn’t float away into detergent territory. Honestly, I think I’ve found its purpose in my life: Cloudland is what I’d wear on a day when I know I’m going to be stinky — farm chores, Florida heat, long errands — and I need to level up the fresh game. It’s the scent equivalent of throwing on a crisp white shirt straight from the dryer. In the summer, I’d probably spray it on my legs so it freshens me up without becoming overpowering around my face. It’s not bad at all — in fact, it has this strangely captivating quality, like I keep sniffing it trying to figure out why it feels so clean and so atmospheric at the same time. Cloudland isn’t an everyday scent for me, but when I want to smell like fresh air, clean laundry, and a soft green breeze, this is exactly what I’d reach for.

To my nose, this is a pear fragrance. I was very surprised not to see pear listed as a note here. I get some light cashmeran/white musk, but it’s predominantly pear. I got my sample from Fulton & Roark directly, so this isn’t a case of mistaken identity! Over time, the pear fades and I get more of that clean linen scent. I would absolutely not call this an amber or woody scent. It’s quite nice, the pear smells photorealistic without being sweeter than the real fruit. It doesn’t read as “masculine” to me. Poor longevity and projection; not surprised on the projection, disappointed on the longevity but perhaps also not surprised. Curious why my experience differs so much from everyone else’s, but a pleasant wear regardless, at least for the time it lasts. 8/10.

This reminds me of a more vibrant and waaaaay less sweet version of Clean's Skin reserve blend. (It's everything I was hoping THAT fragrance would be!) It's very citrusy and fresh upon application before developing a musky, slightly powdery, sweetness. Oddly enough, Avon used to have a line of milk-themed bath and shower products which I adored as a kid/teen, and the dry down of Cloudland is the closest thing I've ever smelled to it. Go figure! Unfortunately, I can't justify spending $200 on an extrait de parfum that doesn't stick around on my skin or clothing for more than a couple of hours at best. It's performance is pretty weak, even for a skin scent.

This is super inoffensive and even fairly pleasant but I can't shake the feeling like it's a Target candle fragrance, if you know what I mean. I like the aquatic and powdery aspects of it but am not sure I *love* them together here. I'm more partial to Etat Libre D'Orange's Ghost in the Shell for powdery lactose and certainly have enough aquatic fragrances without this on my shelf.

A really gentle, clean laundry and water scent. It's not gonna last 10+ hours, project multiple feet, or get you a ton of compliments. Rather, it's a very pleasing scent for any occasion (can't go wrong smelling clean). I'd pick up a bottle, but it's a little expensive and not my favorite, but not bad by any means. **REVIEWING FROM SAMPLE, NOT FULL BOTTLE**

As is consistent with F&R's marketing, the pitch for this does not match the scent. However it's a nice scent, like clean laundry. It smells like lotion and is especially nice after a shower. To me, the scent evokes a rich older woman in an expensive sweater. I don't think I'd drop >$200 on a bottle, but I'm really fond of the cashmere note.

I like this one and I’m not a huge fan of the majority of Fulton & Roark! It reminds me of Moonlight Path by Bath and Body Works. The musk and jasmine work together to create something soft and comforting. It smells like a sweater fresh out of the dryer on a rainy fall day.

I actually love this, just not as a perfume. I personally think it smells very sweet and feminine, but that might just be down to body chemistry. Longevity is poor so I'm not sure it's worth buying as a bottle regardless, but I would absolutely get the soap.

this is EXACTLY what the notes say it is, besides the citrus. it's not nearly as prominent as it's made out to be but the rest is quite accurate. smells like reading on your patio after heavy rain. perfect if you're looking for a nicher skin scent.
