Devil's Garden

Can't speak to the bottles or sprayers. The picture looks cool. Sample review, second wearing. Opens quite dry and resinous, smokey. Slightly vegetal but also a little sweet with a good dose of patchouli. Not a ton of progression here but it dries down to an almost soapy amber scent with a touch of resin. It's quite nice and supremely unisex. I enjoy it. Longevity is actually not great for the type of scent.. A little bummed about that. Sillage in the same boat. Those reasons coupled with the price tag would make this a no from me. If it was cheaper and I could spray with abandon, fine. Anyway, I think this would work in any climate but high humidity. Also, really any occasion, age group or gender. It's pretty utilitarian in that way. Again, I dig it but it's too expensive for what it is. As always, your mileage may vary.

This fragrance rocks. It truly smells like a Cajun spice rack or a bayou-side barbecue. I'm a bit surprised to see that it was inspired by Utah because this transports me back to summers in rural Louisiana growing up. There's the natural green scent but it's being tainted by something acrid and enigmatic in the air- maybe the oil refinery a town over, or the moonshine still in the woods nearby. Don't take that as a negative- this is a very excellent fragrance. Will probably be looking to grab a bottle if I see it for a slight markdown.

Now we are talking------if I'm gonna spend this much on a 1.7oz of juice it would smell like this... A little grassy, sweet and incensy, my kind of vibe and an all time favorite... It's different and stands out on it's own and a banger in my opinion.... If they had a bigger size bottle I might cop but not a deal breaker... 8.5/10

I think this is arguably the best F&R scent. The cinnamon note in this compliments the incense so well and makes it feel so warm. Those two notes are the most notable and you could even say overpower the other notes. It lasts fairly long compared to other F&R products and you constantly catch a whiff of yourself.

Devils Garden is a love letter to dark green leathery fragrances. The tart juniper Sticks out before settling into a leathery earthy green vibe. It lasts an eternity and the formula comes across as natural and high quality. This is just one of the many unique and stunning profiles that Fulton & Roark offer.

I got a sampler of F&R Scents, and this was far and away my favorite. Beautiful, unisex, with good longevity. The cardamom and juniper combination is just *chef's kiss*. I think I'll try the solid fragrance next.

This has stolen my heart. I had the sample of this and went through it so fast.

I am honestly having trouble deciding what I think of this fragrance. I like it, but all the notes seem sort of jumbled together and it's hard to pick out anything in particular, other than a sort of green, incense-y smell. There is a sweetness to it, too, that I don't typically associate with incense, but I can't put my finger on it. To my mind it smells like an expensive scented soap. It's nice, but it doesn't seem particularly memorable or distinctive.

Devil's Garden starts out super sweet and very herbal-medicinal, like an old-fashioned root beer or those old horehound candy drops. To me, it really gave off cough syrup vibes! It mellowed over time into a warm sweet wood and incense smell. Now it's just one note incense. If you like the combo of incense & medicinal notes but are disappointed by the sillage & longevity, Zoologist's Koala has more depth and lasts forever. Better bang for your buck.

Spicy and sharp - kind of like a typical winter candle, but that sharpness (green?) cuts through to keep it interesting.

On my skin, it’s a straight up patchouli bomb, with vetiver & lab singing loudly as backup. Not for me; these notes are to help me to remember my thoughts about this sample.

Green, earthy, resinous. This smells like the "natural health" store I would get organic soap from in college. Just a big, unbalanced mix of essential oils, heavy on the patchouli and incense.

The name may be off putting, but the Devil's Garden is like stepping into an enchanting forest. This is much too patchouli forward for my taste. It smells like you’ve just walked into a record store that sells incense and while I think that’s a charming smell, I don’t want to be the source of it. The cardamom and vetiver combo take this into a more masculine territory. Dry down is a bit on the soapy side. Some words I could use to describe this would be masculine, incense, shaving cream, soapy, green, earthy.

A very dry and ashy incense paired with what to my nose comes off as celery. Weirdly enough that vegetal and bitter accord mixed with the smoky incense works for me? I know it’s not what they intended to convey but it’s what I get and I enjoy it

It wants to be challenging and rugged but it can’t commit fully. It smells nice but a bit too “focus grouped” as if all of the challenging edge got bullied out of it in boardroom meetings. More styrax and labdanum and less juniper please

Strong and makes me ill. Ahhhh it’s taking my nose. Instant headache. yes im dramatic, Im on a perfume hunt right now and losing!!! . I do not like.. I tried one more sniff and was like “why did i even do that”.
