Lady Bird

I stumbled across Fulton & Roarke and ordered a discovery set of samples. This is my favorite! (Second place goes to Cloudland for its mix of rain and citrus notes). It's a bright mix of raspberry, freesia, and rose meant to evoke Texas wildflowers (bluebonnets and black jacks). It has a hint of green/hay/earthiness that I like - it lends a slightly dry note that keeps the fruit from being too sweet, which I prefer. They offer a credit for the cost of the samples toward a full bottle, so I HAD to use that, or it's practially wasting money (girl math, yes indeed), and I'm betting this will be a regular in my summer rotation.

To me, this is just a simple flowery Musk. It didn't last too long but it is also the only one from this line I have sampled that is truly feminine.

Something weird about this. Like a rubber balloon note.

This one is unfortunately a miss for me. I will try it again later because I was hoping I would like it, but my first impression is that it smells weirdly sterile. The opening reminds me of the way a Rite-Aid or a CVS Pharmacy smells, and I really don't know how else to elaborate on that hahahaha. It has a really generic, familiar sort of smell, but not in a good way? I don't smell rose or raspberry. I smell some sort of aquatic notes and amber.

Sampling this one again and while it still isn't my favorite, I think sitting for a while did it some good because it gained a little depth. That being said I still don't find it to be accurate to its notes. I still find it to be soapier than it is floral.

Beautiful fruity, musky, lightly floral scent. It's complex enough where it doesn't automatically lean into generic-women's-shampoo territory.

The texas florals help it from being too feminine, I definitely can pull this off
