Perpetua

I like several Fulton & Roark fragrances, and Perpetua is a good one. I didn't get strong marine notes although I did imagine someone wearing this while fishing -- someone young and confident easily managing rough seas. It is calming and the opening is powdery, but combined with woody notes, it's a masculine powder instead of grandmotherly. (I feel this could be unisex though.) I looked at the website and there are more notes than listed here including mahogany, neroli, bergamot, jasmine, and amber. The top notes lasted surprisingly long (perhaps 20 minutes) which was excellent. The opening was a little stronger than the middle and late phases. Overall, it's more noticeable than a skin scent, but I doubt it fully radiates to arm length unless you rub on a lot. I think this would be great for the office and for someone college age to late 30s.

This was tied for my favorite of the 8 samples I had. It lists Atlas Cedar, Neroli, and Amber, but the instant vibe I got was a fresh, sparkly, youthful, fruity smell. I really wasn't expecting this scent based on the ingredients. It's quite interesting how combinations can do that. The other of my favorites for the line was Kiawah, which isn't listed here. This is precisely the scent I want emanating from me when I leave the barbershop. It is not fougere per se, but it smells like high-end manly products.

Like the scent, but the performance is lacking at best. Would be interesting as a liquid.
