Roark's Cove

Ohhh my god. I've had this ridiculously specific idea in my head of my dream perfume (one that evoked forest fairies living in a berry bush) and had a really good feeling about Roark's Cove so I blind bought it. It is EXACTLY it. The cloudberry is bright and bouncy (think the opening of Marc Jacobs Daisy Love but mixed with the forest). It takes the earthy notes of the forest and adds just a little sweetness. You can absolutely smell the cedar, moss, and verbena but they don't run vegetal or dirty. At first dry down I get whiffs of a little masculine cologne, but as time goes on the tonka slowly opens up and turns this into an almost creamy green skin scent. Incredibly unisex and cozy. The longevity is unfortunately mid but it's worth it regardless.

Smells super nice, but I had a small decant from the discovery set, sprayed like 7 spritzes on and NO BODY could hardly even smell it on me like 30 minutes after allying it! I proceeded to just use the last half of the decant and then after having used the whole entire decant for that one single use my niece who showed up about 20 minutes later complimented me on my scent. Also for an "Extrait de parfum" its NOT very long-lived as I only got like 5 hours (also on clothes) where it was somewhat notiacble around me and then it was pretty much GONE! Havent tried others from the line, but if they perform like Roark's Cove, then that $200 per 1.7 oz bottle pricetag is INSANE! It does smell pleasant, but NOT THAT PLEASANT! LOL

What is there to say about F&R that's hasn't been said. Great house that puts out hype worthy Scents. I just got Roarks Cove in and this is an absolute banger. It's sweet, Citrusy, a little peppery, just overall perfect. The oak moss and lavender adds an earthy feel that makes this such an amazing mature scent, but the Bergamont, Berry and Verbena keep it fun and mass appealing. This is great for all occasions, from the office straight to the lounge for drinks. Roarks Cove satisfies everyone's needs and will have everyone saying "who smells so good"........thanks Fulton and Roark.

I have Roark's Cove in the solid fragrance and the Formula 5 hair oil. I absolutely love this scent!! It reminds me of OLD Bath & Body Works' Lime Verbena, but a sophisticated, grown-up version. I can wear this during the day, or as a relaxing fragrance before bed (using the hair oil). I can understand how it's not for everyone since the verbena and bergamot come through strongly, but I personally find Roark's Cove to be a comforting scent. It also is a break from the sweet or floral scents out there, without being overly woodsy either.

I used up my whole sample and I'm dying for more, but unfortunately the scent doesn't last! Silage is questionable. This is the most unisex perfume I've ever smelled if that makes sense. Perfect balance of feminine and masculine notes. They play well together. The sweetness is soft and easy and the green notes are fresh and grounded. Beautiful! Someone call me when they improve the lasting power.
