The Window

I was gifted a sample kit for Christmas of Folton & Roark .ini decants. I've never smelled the Jimmy Choo fragrance The Window is (allegedly) similar to, but I am REALLY liking The Window, like ALOT! It smells quite a bit like "natural jasmin", while being quite "Unisex" with a slight masculine lean. It's a pretty "Dapper" fragrance, and Im just lovimg the veeery soft leather note which for me, I wouldnt even be able to tell it's "Leather", buy when I found out the leather note is in there, it made complete sense. Again, I LOOOVE how unique this fragrance smells (Probably the weird Sand note?), and how very dapper it smells. It teminds me of a modern, young to middle aged business man (or woman) and I feel it would even make a fantastic signature scent. Man. I sprayed it on my hand, and Im getting concerned bc I just know im going to struggle with NOT spending the $200 bucks on a fragrance! Especially since I own a ridiculous amount already. This is the sort of fragrance which is NOT a "crowd pleasing" sorta fragrance, and so I fear it may get axed before I pull the trigger.. The pressure!! Lol. Excellent longevity, sillage. Theres an oil sheen left on the back of my hand and its been an hour since I spritzed it, and its wafting from my hand to my nose and its GORGEOUS! I love unique fragrances with a very unique edge! I.o, its a 10 outta 10 fragrance, just hope that I dont give into temptation, or that if I do try getting it later on that its still available. Thanks to whomever took time to read my review!

this is nearly identical to Jimmy Choo I Want Choo Le Parfum. not as sweet as there's no praline, but close enough to be redundant. That said, I ADORE this one and will replace IWC lp with this if I ever run out.

I like this one a lot. It's a soft floral scent that leans masculine. It is close to the new Dior Homme Parfum, not exactly the same but same profile.

the window is a more masculine floral fragrance. it definitely smells way different depending on your skin, so make sure to buy a sample first and take this review with a grain of salt! the window is hard to describe. theres a synthetic leather note but its surprisingly subtle under the florals. it smells sophisticated, a little smokey, a little leathery, and the "ethereal ghost blossoms" are definitely there alongside the sweeter florals. the sand note develops after the drydown and adds a warmth to it that i really love. the window is inoffensive enough to be a daily wear, but has enough depth for specific wear-cases. i do like this fragrance. its warm, comfortable, and smells gorgeous. this is one of the only more masculine fragrances that i actually like and would be comfortable regularly wearing. unfortunately, fulton and roark's perfumes are so expensive, so in my opinion, this shit is overpriced. you could probably achieve a similar scent with layering 2 perfumes which could be cheaper than just one bottle of this. do not blindbuy!

I thought this would be mysterious but it smells exactly like a freshly cleaned window. I laughed.

Do not care if it's an Extrait De Parfum--------I know Extrait Fragrances that are cheaper and smell WAY BETTER than this! For the Price Tag they're asking for I think it's a bit ridiculous... Expensive doesn't mean always good... Maybe if you can get it cheaper and you like the scent then sure-------I guess... 4/10

The jasmine here is noticeably synthetic, with a faint overtone of neroli. There's a daffodil-type yellow floral note that reminds me of Fzotic's Eau Dela Narcisse. The leather note goes to more of a pleather place. I was not into this one, sorry!

Is anyone else getting a gasoline smell in the opening? It then quickly dries down to a fake leather, wood and yellow floral sent. This one's a no for me.

Oh nooooooo. It's not listed in the notes, but I would swear this has aldehydes. It was a total assault on my nasal passages with just one spray.

Decided to try this because the fragrance notes sounded interesting. Sprayed it on, and the first thing that hit me was almost like a smell of stale cigarette smoke. Like a person has smoked for so long that things around them have that smell deep into materials. Yes, I do detect a leather smell but it has somewhat of an artificial scent in a bad way. I am glad it was just a sample I purchased! Totally not for me.
