Reclaimed Flame

This is a beautiful citrus/green fragrance! The grapefruit in the opening is mouthwatering, I don't have too many bitter citrus scents, so I fell in love right away. The eucalyptus is also present & its invigorating. I appreciate when a fragrance makes me feel energized. If you love nature walks and hiking especially in LA where there's lots of eucalyptus trees, you might just love this scent. For me this is a revitalizing aromatherapy fragrance.

Sadly, my skin absolutely destroys the top note that smells so good in the bottle (eugenol? I wanna say it's taking out a bit of eugenol). But that's okay, because the middle notes are great too - herbal and spicy. Drydown is sweet, not as interesting but I don't hate it.

A very nice hesperidic fragrance that is refreshing and lively. The eucalyptus, mugwort and geranium boosts the citrus (primarily grapefruit but lemon or bergamot is also here) and there's a detectable but not overwhelming tumeric. Chamomile can be hit or miss for me but it's fine here, and I think there's also a hidden note of vetiver in here. First I'll say this does not remind me of Hermes Voyage which I hate. I've been wearing Frederic Malle Geranium Pour Monsuer lately and that one is a mint bomb, this is more citrus forward and doesn't smell like actual mint like the FM. I recently sold a bottle of Royal Crown Celebration and that one smells like menthol. I think this is a easier to wear mint esqe fragrance. I wouldn't run out and buy it because I have too many fragrances as it is, but I might grab it if I saw it discounted. Herbal, Camphoric, Dry Earth Smells like a sticky baby pinecone bud. This was my first impression and it is still relevant to my perception of this fragrance. After it dries down a bit get more of an herbal chamomile scent with a hint of bitter green, and it surprisingly ends a little sweet and milky, but I am not sure from what. The eucalyptus is more camphoric in the opening but becomes more aromatic in the dry down. This scent gives me rustic boutique tea shop but inside a log cabin run by an unpretentious yet sophisticated, rugged, flannel-patchwork-shirt-wearing bohemian. I really like this one! This is at least travel-size worthy if not full bottle worthy for me. Sillage: 3/5 Projection: 3/5 Longevity: 4/5 Leans unisex

This is a nice green scent. Not my favorite from them but i do like it. It’s definitely a true unisex and can really be worn at any time/season, which is nice. I definitely pick up notes of chamomile. It’s refreshing, calming, and overall inoffensive.

This is giving that lemon-cayenne pepper-maple syrup master cleanse in the best way. I could see this being super yummy on a hot summer night.

Ack. I love the Future Society concept for its initial line and also that they have the bath and lotion options. I WANT TO BE IN LOVE. SO BAD. However, I go nose blind so quick on these. I do have older dryer but very well moisturized skin. And I use the optimal habitat first. But I spray and then just don’t smell the nuances or development of the scent. Had same problem with invisible forest and grassland opera. Looking for a scent that is, on dry down, something I can sniff and appreciate on my skin but that has a 1 or 2 foot sillage for a few hours. I have lots of spices and orientals. I recently realized that I also like fruity (Byredo biblioteque, anyone?) I need some citrus/grass forward scents for summer. Anyway, blah blah blah. I really wish I smelled more than the lingering of the top notes in my sinus, and got the nuances on my skin. Future society, what is wrong with me? ———————— Next day. So I got a sample of RF with the travel set of sprays. Yesterday I used the RF travel spray. Today I used the sample. Holy guacamole. HUGE DIFFERENCE. This I can smell. And I can smell it on me. Aromatics pop at first, there’s a slight twist at the end of the first nose that I can’t quantify (prob cuz total amateur). I think I might really love this - it’s a shame the larger container doesn’t smell like the tiny sample. Def not getting Black Orchid. BO pulls you in straightforward with no mercy. This gives you a surface taste that you want to walk away from and revisit.

This worried me because of its similarities note-wise to Invisible Woods, but this is much more sage-y and dries much faster. The sweet smell left afterwards is syrupy, like putting waaaay too much sugar into an Earl Grey blend. Unfortunately it is a little sickening, but if you give it a few minutes, that saccharine smell fades, leaving you primarily with the eucalyptus. I don't get very much citrus. I’m not sure how to feel...

I thought this scent was ok. Wish I could say more but I had a full on allergic reaction to this. I am not allergic to many things but this was omg get the Benedryl. Can't figure what caused it. My over all thought for FS is to layer the scents from the Discovery set & see what comes up.

Kind of smells like men's cologne. I know that's not specific, but all I could think of when smelling was "that's some guy for sure". A little chemically, but super solid as an aromatic.

Synthetic smelling, very little silage/longevity, first impression is that is smells like Jo Malone cologne (I don't know which one, probably bergamot). Least favorite of this bunch.

This was completely schizophrenic from paper to my skin, and I feel duped! Unfortunately, I'm noticing this trend in Future Society frags. It's lovely on paper. Spicy, herbal green. Dewier. Targeted, sharp. Herbal citrus/very tea. Sting of eucalyptus. Calming. It smells natural. Woody! Sharp on first spritz — that bergamot and grapefruit and turmeric. I love that. The eucalyptus gives it a brightness, keeping it out of (too) spicy territory. But sadly, on my skin, this is much more kerosene and gas heavy. The complexity of the beauty on paper is completely lost. It's clearer and cleaner than on paper, but I'm extraordinarily bummed this isn't the more natural and woody thing I initially perceived it to be. Sigh.

This one just plain stinks to me. I read a review somewhere saying that it was like a combination of herbs, incense, and IcyHot, and I totally get all of those things. And then, though there is no patchouli note listed, I definitely smell patchouli in the base. It's the kind that smells sharp and spicy and makes me think of a dirty hippie or a stoner. I think it's interesting that some are saying it smells like Black Orchid, because I feel like Grassland Opera is closer to Black Orchid than this is. And I like Black Orchid! I do not like this at all.

I have received a sample and I have to not a fan. You would think with the name it would be brighter and spicy. Unfortunately it smells like a chemical mess. Hard pass.

I get the snappy turmeric as well as the bright citrus notes right away and projecting nicely; as it dries down, it starts smelling almost like freshly-cut wood or sawdust. Less than an hour later it’s almost purely chamomile with a bitter, lemon peel twist. It’s not bad, but it’s not the strongest scent, so it sits pretty close to the skin. I wish the opening lasted more than a couple minutes cause that’s easily the best-smelling stage of this one. Not sure how anyone could smell this and get “fiery” but what do I know

Goes on smelling like citrus cleaner and pepper. Drys down to a musky patchouli soap smell. Surprisingly pleasant dry down considering I'm not offended by it despite having described it as patchouli soap scented, and I hate soapy smells and am not a patchouli fan, nor a musk fan. I think what I'm interpreting as pleasant soap is actually the turmeric.

Was told this was a dupe of Tom Ford Black Orchid and I can kiiiiiiiind of see where they are coming from but honestly this could never replace Black Orchid for me
