Poof!

A tuberose you may want to eat, this is Spring in a bottle. It’s upbeat, optimistic, and bright, with white florals and fruit, though I’m glad it’s not too heavy on apple. Really enjoy the evolution from the citrus to the wood and honey in a vanillic base. Nothing can go wrong while wearing this fragrance. After exploring darker, moody gourmands, animalics, tobacco, and leather with Ummagumma and Corpse Reviver, Bruno gives us a dose of joy that’s so needed.

I can't understand the dislike at all. I absolutely love it. It is a beautiful blend of florals, powder, a bit of vanilla, and I get the tiniest bit of mint and lovely fresh fruit. I never thought I would like a fruity floral, but this one is spectacular. It's mood lifting. I wonder if all of the bad reviews here contributed to its demise. It's backup bottle worthy, even in a large collection. Good luck to anyone who liked it.

Sampling one of the more recent releases from Fzotic / Bruno Fazzolari, Poof!, a fresh floral blend with some sweet and fruity notes, quite pleasant and dense while being uplifting. The standout notes to me are tuberose, magnolia, apple, vanilla, and honey. It’s perfectly fine while not standing out a ton to me, and I think it’s not something I would personally wear but I would enjoy very much smelling someone else wear, a job nicely done by Bruno on this. Poof! is priced at $145 for 30ml, the current standard pricing for the line, in EDP concentration, and is sold by the house website as well as boutiques like Ministry of Scent (from which I bought my sample) and Luckyscent. 7 out of 10

This perfume is deeply strange. You know what it is...? - the tuberose/green apple combo reminds me of DS&DURGA Steamed Rainbow “indoor pool/inflatable toy” thing. People love the humid/tangy/rubbery/sweet atmosphere in that perfume, so maybe Poof! Was just ahead of the curve ;)

It reminds me of Christmas soap or potpourri. Mature smelling, a grandmother smell. I'm 41 and don't like to use that description, but this fits the bill. Synthetic and heavy. It's not totally unpleasant, but I certainly don't want to smell like this. I had high hopes based on the notes, but Poof! was disappointing as hell!

There is something about Bruno Fazzolari the rubs me the wrong way. He's currently on a promotional campaign that's springing up on Instagram touting the virtues of the perfumer, including one where he asserts that perfumers "are not allowed to wear perfume" and other such inflated nonsense. Be that is it may, I try my darnedest to separate the artist, as insufferable as they may seem to be, from their art. And just like that: POOF! I come across a sample of this and I figured I'd give it a go. Sure enough, I can't get on with this, either. There's something so daft about it, as if it were made to be just as smarmy as its creator, but coming off as hopelessly synthetic. Something about it feels like Bath and Body Works on an acid trip, so fruity-floral, screechy and frothy, verging on headache-inducing. Green apple is a hard note to ace—and Fazzolari did not succeed. It penetrates along with the harsh tuberose. After smelling something so thoughtful and nuanced as Piguet Zazen recently, with its apple-skin top note, this is the airhorn to Zazen's Tibetan bell. It's absolutely hideous. Oh well, so much for that.

A tart green apple meets pungent white florals—but not the demure kind. These flowers lean animalic, almost fecal, with a slightly sour tang. It’s like biting into a crisp apple at dawn in a meadow... while cows graze a little too close for comfort. Intriguing, but maybe not harmonious.

Smells like the weird TJMaxx bar of soap you got as a gift and stashed under the sink 5 years ago. Generally smells like a bathroom. When it warms up to your body, it does effuse a nice, one-note tuberose scent. But it’s like you have to squint your eyes to smell it past the bathroom.

Synthetic, kinda dusty -- like a fake flower in a basement. Not for me.

I can't write a better explanation for this perfume than what @alphairone said. There is something daft and uncoordinated and cheap about it. It smells like a bad knock off of a better fragrance. Or some type of bathroom cleaner. Those disks people put in their toilets because they are too lazy to clean them come to mind when smelling this horrid fragrance. This will be the only thing I will ever sample from this brand again. Horrible.

A luminous fruity-floral anchored by the bronze notes of labdanum, exemplified in the single black waves of Bruno’s synesthesia-inspired artwork amidst the pastel explosions throughout. The soft-hued pallete mimics Poof’s gauzy, musky air that is never too floral, and subtly reminiscent of bubblegum in an attractive, mature, yet playful way. A powdered base in my perception of honey-sweetened cream leaves a trail of desire. Slightly more “synthetic” smelling version of Tauer’s Golestan. More bubblegum notes, more creamy, more foody. As with Ummagumma, this fragrance doesn’t express itself fully upon initial blast - I would say each fragrance has less of a traditional “development” as opposed to rather an “unfurling” of the notes, as if compacted in the bottle and slowly unraveled in the open air. Confident men, please apply. Something chalky and sweet reminiscent of Orange Star - kind-of-but-not-really... The happiness this brings is that not dissimilar to “(Keep Feeling) Fascination” by The Human League. Bravo Bruno. Sample purchased directly from Fzotic.

A fruity floral that has an apple emphasis in the opening. Unfortunately it is quite disappointing to have a fragrance released after so long but is loaded with synthetic booster which ruins the composition for me. It smells cheaply made and not natural. Smells just like the old soap you find at the back of your grandmother's bathroom cabinet. Where to wear: idk because I had to scrub it off after 15 min

Fruity floral w/ a freshness that borders on aquatic. I found it sharp and pretty synthetic smelling as another reviewer mentioned.
