No. V (Ludlow) Lull

This opens with sweet, fluffy orange blossom with hints of a cold cup of black tea. The heart of this is softly sweet, subtly fruity, and very creamy. The cherry is slightly tart, the red apple slightly dry, and the rose not very noticeable. The dry down is a soft, musky, creamy blend and has a powdery woodiness to it. There's a soft sweetness lingering throughout the whole scent. This is similar to Blanche Bete from Liquides Imaginaires in terms of creamy, and ethereal muskiness, like a fluffy white cloud but this isn't as sweet, and the slightly dry fruity notes set it apart. This feels like the calm in the evening after a cold autumn day in your small lofty apartment in the city.

Couldn't resist buying this. Echoing someone else but it has the gently sweet medicinality of a cough syrup sat alongside an expensive toothpaste or hair spray from some boutique pharmacy in mainland Europe. I'm thinking very specifically of my French friend's apartment on Ludlow in LES, with a giant medicine cabinet behind her bathroom mirror which I was very jealous of. This perfume is coconutty in the way that cherries sometimes are? Especially with everything else in there. I don't see it as a coconut perfume because it isn't, and I don't like coconuts. I adore this though. I knew I had to get it when my friend smelled it on my skin and just said it smelled like me.

The first time i smelled it as a sample it didn't stick. Fell in love few sprays later, perhaps the formula needs to 'breathe' a bit. Initially it was very creamy-vanilla-tea like. After about 6-8 months the smell has shifted heavily towards coconut, and i mean *heavily*. Enjoying it very much though. Overall a soft cashmere-coconut-tea profile. Wouldn't say i pick up on sandalwood that much, but it's just my nose. And cherry? Don't know her. Had it for a while so maybe need a fresher bottle to compare.

Ohhh my god, this is so much better than I thought it would be. The first spray is a clean and creamy black cherry smell with soft woods. Cherry juice soaked in creamy wood, it is soo feminine and cozy. The smell is pretty linear with the dry down except I detect a bit more apple. This fragrance is definitely a cousin to Blanche Bête by Les Liquides Imaginaires. Except Ludlow is a lot more wood heavy and Bête is more vanilla fantasy floral heavy. Both are absolutely divine in their own way <3

I have been wearing this after my evening showers after work when I wind down with a book on the couch. It is such a creamy and cozy scent. I’m constantly sniffing my wrists while I wear this. I’ve never been one for fruity fragrances, especially cherry, but this was done so beautifully. The cherry makes this a bit more savory for me and I love it. The company is amazing and they were so helpful to me when my package got lost in transit. I’ve never had a company respond so quickly and kindly.

Finally they add this lol. To start off the company is amazing everything they make is just about perfect. Lull is no different, it’s the embodiment of a warm hug. Leans a tad feminine but can be worn by anyone. Obviously it’s summer so wearing this during winter should be just as good!! 8.2/10

Discovered in a niche boutique, this fragrance immediately drew me in. The kind you can’t help but return to for another inhale. Soft and understated, Lull is a beautifully subtle blend of tea, cherry, and musk. The cherry is most present in the opening, offering a gentle brightness before settling into the background. As it develops, a creamy, almost lactonic nuance emerges, adding warmth and smoothness to the composition. This isn’t a fragrance built for projection. Instead, it sits close to the skin, intimate and quietly addictive. Delicate, refined, and endlessly moreish.

I was super excited by these notes but found a lot of them to be pretty nonexistent... It starts off with a slightly sweet cherry-almond at the beginning- immediately a heavy hand of sandalwood and a bit of soft musk and cashmeran. As the fragrance develops, the amaretto-like thing fades, and it turns into more of a lightly floral woody tea scent. A very subtle, demure scent, not loud or long-lasting by any means, but I do think it would be a very comforting scent for bedtime, especially in the winter.

I see no coconut listed but I can pick up coconut distinctly in the opening. I am pleased to say the cherry is neither overly sweet or medicinal throat lozenge leaning, as cherry is a note I tend to really struggle with. This moves swiftly into the dry down which is woody with smoky black tea. This is sophisticated quite unisex and could easily take you from day to night. I also have to mention that this would make a lovely candle or diffuser for a home scent.

ookay, this is cherry in a Bakewell tart kinda way, although not listed it for sure has an almondy marzipan vibe to it. it’s all blended beautifully with a woody musky base... creamy and cosy. not full bottle worthy for me personally but I must try more gabar scents now

Hmm. This pricey little sampler seemed promising. I got a hint of cherry right at first, some sweetness. That dried down in record time and I could smell the milky creaminess, but that didn't last long either. Aaaaand here's the base coming at you from every side: the incense smell of sandalwood and boy, is it THERE. Sandalwood, sandalwood, and more sandalwood. I don't mind sandalwood but I wanted more of the other scents. I didn't smell any coconut, apple, rose, tea, etc that the notes claim. Overall, I will use up the sampler by pairing it with my Marc Jacobs Perfect which tones down the sandalwood, but I won't spend $166 or whatever on a full bottle.

Apparently this is a cherry perfume but I don't smell it? It smells like UNIFROM's Cassis perfume oil to me which is also a dupe. Cheap smelling

Wow, I get nothing like the others. It goes on for five seconds as something I might like then the screechy wood element arrives and overpowers all else. I scrubbed as fast and hard as I could but never could get rid of it. Ten minutes later, I could sort of detect cardamom, almond and something woody, but never did it smell like sandalwood to me. All other notes are missing. There's a ghost of sweet that is probably the cherry and the almond migth be that too, but I don't get true fruit or floral or musk. At the end of a long day (after scrubbing in the AM), it smells like Oud in it's burnt rubber incarnation. I sure wish I could experience scent like other people sometimes. This is a huge no for me. The company's blurb is so exactly the opposite of what this smells like on my skin. Test before buying.

Nearly finished with the discovery set - I think this one is pretty unique and noteworthy! Love the soft coconut note with a tart red fruit and floral aspect. This is a delicate but also kind of seductive scent, actually. There is depth to it, yet simultaneously comforting and mellow in its subtle sweetness. Really enjoying what this brand has to offer. Maybe next autumn/ winter I'll grab this and it can replace No.2 Ground in this category (which I have completely ran through and am obsessed with).

Way too much Aldehyde C-18 in my opinion... It gives a metallic milky vibe to te cherry that I sadly dont appreciate at all. There is a TON of Cashmeran in the base, but if you like this ingredient (wich I do) its not a bad thing. Overral Lull is not a bad perfume, but its way too generic for this type of brand. I was expecting something more well blended and deeper, like a very cosy and mature smell. Instead of that, its a clean musky wood with coconut facets (the cherry ony exist for like 15 min)

this smells like when you go to a friends house and you’re being nosy so you open their medicine cabinet and they have like cherry cough syrup next to some fancy face cream and you smell the wood from the cabinet itself. And it smells like your friend but also their medicine cabinet.

There is something about this fragrance that comes across both smokey and sweet young cherry. Comforting, but I think there is something a little off on my skin. Not a favorite for me. Update: I like it much better in the dry down. Has stayed on my skin for quite some time as well.

I smell cardamom, almond, vanilla, and screamwood. Possibly that's the ‘cedar?’ I scrubbed it off but at the end of the day it smells like oud, so I guess it was supposed to be oud. It’s the burnt rubber type oud though. Too shrill and loud for me.

This to me is a much lighter version of Blanche Bête. I wear this when I want just a touch but not the full weight of Blanche Bête. Also coconut should be listed! - 8/10

I smell mostly coconut?! Anyone else? I blind bought this and it's not at all what I expected from reading the notes.
