Aventure

aventure (EDP) by galimard reminds me of dior's eau sauvage parfum, in what i presume to be the elemi citrussy resinousness, but is less round than eau sauvage. i do get pepper and grapefruit as distinct facets of this fragrance, the grapefruit meshing with the elemi. it smells complex. people describing it as terre d'hermes aren't wrong neccisarily, when i think terre d'hermes and smell this, i can get the same profile, but it's made up of different notes. it's citrus is similar but more caught up in the resinous. (remember, terre d'hermes also uses grapefruit with it's orange) it's darkness is different too. where terre d'hermes is an interplay between light and dark: citrus and raw earth, aventure is more of a citrus draped over a mix of woods and spices, which are dark in their own way but a lot warmer and more inviting. aventure smells less modern, more old world - less concerned with being cool maybe. after a good 20 minutes a clean but punchy vetiver enters the frame. smell wise it actually reminds me more of eau d'orange verte. - i feel like eau d'orange verte has two stages, a short sublimely fresh stage which flips fully and suddenly to a full aromatic manly stage. but Aventure EDP blasts you with both stages from the beginning and slowly fades out the fresh instead. [Although i've only tried two of Galimard's main line offerings now, i have not been disappointed yet. Fragonard's main line is equally well made, but most of the ones i've tried have been quite tame or boring in my eyes. (that being said, Fragonard's Wood line is absolutely brilliant)] Everything about Aventure smells natural, balanced, manly, old school, and just damn well pleasant. Signature worthy for mature men and old souls alike. i'm definitely buying it.

Çok iyi bir Vetiver , Karabiber karışımı parfüm. Markanın diğer parfümleri ile kıyasla daha iyi. Başlangıcın biraz daha keyifli olması için belki biraz bergamot iyi olabilirdi. Kalıcılık normalde ancak koku dağılımı güçlü. Bunun nedeni tabiki karabiber. Kullanıldığı alanı hemen kaplıyor.

Very, very similar to Terre D'Hermes, but lacks a bit of the "earthy" feel. The grapefruit smell is every bit as luscious, though, and the pepper every bit as spicy. Great projection and sillage from this one.

Another beauty from Galimard. I love the Spicy black pepper, elemi, pink pepper and juicy citrus. Perfect amount of vetiver, cedar, patchouli, sandalwood & vanilla. This juice is pure heaven!!!

I love this. It's unique yet reminds me of Terra d'Hermes. Spicy, citrus top notes that mellow into a woody amber. Great for summer and hot days, but works year round.

Love the spicy grapefruit scent! I can smell the grapefruit even after a full shift (~8 hrs)

I am quite uncertain about this fragrance. I don't really like Terre d'Hermes - orange and something else puts me off, but I like this one and Cuir Vetiver. So I decided to compare them. - Opening was a bit harsh and synthetic, but nothing that would be like a punch right into your face. While Cuir Vetiver is much more round, vanilly and smooth. - Sharpness of Aventure settles in about 5 minutes and you can smell beautiful, masculine vetiver. Cuir Vetiver is still creamy. - Half an hour or so vetiver comes out in CV and they both smell quite similar. - Since they both are similar scents I had hard times estimating who projects better, but I lean towards Aventure - I totally missed to measure longevity, but I can say that Aventure EdP lasts a bit longer. Also stays extra long on clothes - for more than 24h, and it smells fantastically! I really like Aventure. Especially it's dry down. However I already own Cuir Vetiver and they are so similar that this doesn't justify a purchase for me. Maybe in 5 or so years if I'll run out of my Cuir Vetiver I'll buy Aventure to replace it, but not now, even if I want to have them both.

Starts off extremely sharp, almost like lemon scented industrial degreaser, but not synthetic particularly. It then becomes are terre de hermes scent that is a bit more mossy, but somehow more playful. The citrus is still under the surface and noticeable. It last 6 hours or so, but projects well overall. I recommend 30 plus men try this. This is not for me and I find it more of a business casual scent.
