Brindille

This fragrance is gorgeous, smells so beautiful, lasts long. I have been testing few white floral fragrances recently and every time I spray this one it’s like a love shock. I love it I ordered Parfum 30ml and wish I got a bigger bottle because shipping was a bit $$$$. It was definitely worth it. My husband compliments me on it every time I wear it, and he doesn’t usually gives me compliments on my fragrance but this one every time. It’s a very feminine, soft, beautiful fragrance, I imagine this on the bride or mom of the bride😊 just so pretty and clean, refined. So after wearing it for a while I noticed a huge similarity with Kai Kai, although Kai is gardenia, but they’re smell so similar. And both get me compliments from my husband. It’s also similar to diorissimo but without that weird synthetic note. I like it better than diorissimo.

Very disappointed, Galimard has changed to more beautiful packaging but also reformulated the scent. It use to be gorgeous lily of the valley/lilac motherly kind of nostalgic scent like Diorissimo but I loved it more. I purchased 100ml bottle of Parfum from Galimard which was pretty expensive to ship to US. And when it came to my disappointment I found it smelling totally different than my bottle that I purchased last year before they changed there packaging. Current version is a bit cloying more vanillic a bit cheap smelling. So sad. I did email the customer service asking if they have any older bottles left to sell. I hope they do. It did came out pretty pricey to have it shipped to US for the reformulated scent I dont enjoy. Will see how they respond.

This perfume is addictive, which makes sense because I love Lily of the Valley! My bottle is vintage and the perfume is a darker color but it still smells amazing. It is very soapy smelling and I love wearing this in the spring and to work. I think it lasts all day.

I feel that Brindille has an extra warmth and is longer lasting than Diorissimo. Simply lovely lily of the valley scent.

A cool hyacinth and lily of the valley scent warmed by jasmine and lilac. A beautiful bouquet and underrated gem.

I have never heard of, much less tried, anything from Galimard, but I stumbled upon the brand and this fragrance as I was reading reviews of Diorissimo, which I adore! This is not a review - yet. I am looking for some info! I purchased a bottle labeled as "New La Source Brindille Parfum Spray/Galimard/Made in France". The link to Ebay for this is right on this page. From what I understand, "La Source" is the store associated with the Galimard factory in Grasse where they sell their products. Does anyone know if this "version" is the same genuine Brindille that is sold in retail stores? Is it an inferior product in anyway? In the end, I care more about how it will smell on me than whether or not it is an inferior product, and if it does indeed match or even exceed Diorissimo in terms of capturing the true essence of LotV, but I would also like to know what I have purchased in the wee small hours of the morning while browsing!! PM me if anyone can help - thanks!! ===== She came today, and yes - it is indeed Galimard. Initial impression is a smooth Lilly of the Valley, similar to Dioressence, but different enough that it's worth having both, which is good because I have waaaaay too many bottles of Diorissimo. Brindille is fruitier and sweeter. Perhaps the ylang contributes to the impression. I am happy to have discovered this house, as I prefer to patronize the still independent Grasse houses over the corporate monoliths. I like Diorissimo a little more, but Brindille makes me feel special and unlikely to run into anyone wearing the same scent.

This is a gorgeous spring floral scent. I'm stuck somewhere between love and like, simply because I'm not a huge lover of florals . . . Especially spring florals. I like them (especially in the garden), but they are a bit precious for me. But this one is so fresh and lovely. It actually is one of the better, more realistic LOV scents I've smelled. Usually they are sharp and closer to rose, but this captures it with the hyacinth, beautifully. Since I don't have many good spring scents, I'm debating adding this one to my wardrobe. I think I have a few more sprays in my sample though, so we'll see how I feel when it's finished.

I've got an old bottle from the Galimard shop in Èze, where the tour guide explained they make all those fragrances sold under fancy brand names - they listed several, including Kenzo -, & that they also bottle and sell the same perfumes with different names under their own house line. And then I asked the sales lady if they had anything like Kenzo's Parfum d'Été (this was when the cool late 90s bottle was becoming hard to find) and they sold me this. Well, now I've got both this and a mini Parfum d'Été that has been kept in a box, and they do indeed smell identical to me. Maybe a bit too sweet for my current taste though.

A soft-spoken, demure lovechild of Kenzo Parfum d'été (though not so green and aquatic) and Dior Diorissimo. If you like the idea of being soflty brushed by a light breeze whirling away the scent of spring flowers, then give Brindille a try, you will surely be delighted and forgive its little lack of longevity ;-) (I tested the edp concentration). Update/ July 3rd 2020: as I recently purchased the edt, I can only advise you to go for the pure perfume concentration, which is by far the only one that offers decent longevity.

Very lovely sweet spring time floral. Strong hold hairspray quickly gives way to a mix of 80s pot pourri flowers - mostly lillies and hyacinths, which I love. There is a slight hint of fresh greenery underneath the flowers. Demure, elegant, vintage, classic are all words which spring to mind. Wearing it I thought the sillage was quite gentle, but then he told me he could smell it from across the room! A beautiful fragrance.

A soft bouquet of spring flowers and their tender sweetness. Shares some similarities with Burberry's Weekend, but the flowers are much more natural-smelling in Brindillie. The hyacinth, lilac and lily-of-the-valley are the shining stars of this composition, but the rose-musk combo adds noticeable depth and warmth to it. A beautiful floral fragrance for spring with disappointing longevity, unfortunately.

Oh the lily of valley is so real smelling in this perfume. The symphony of lily of valley, jasmine and rose shine through on my skin. The notes are perfectly balanced and smell natural. Doesn't last too long but then nothing does on me.

This is a fragrance for vintage lily of the valley lovers. And unfortunately, that's not me. It's a classic green, powdery lily of the valley scent (actually a spring bouquet where lily of the valley plays the lead role), with a faint hairspray-ish undertone. It reminds me of a scent my mother used to wear in the 80's. Don't know which scent though... It's a great lily of the valley fragrance, I'm just not a huge lily of the valley fan. The fragrance has a medium strength, and lasts about 4-5 hours on my skin.

I have a personal problem with any Lily of the valley and woods combo, especially with sandalwood. This one has this specific accord, as you can find in Eau d’été Kenzo and 1881Cerrutti. So it won’t be for me, but if you like this kind of parfumes, give it a try, it won’t deceive you.

Fresh springtime florals. Smells like new beginnings and spring cleansing and all that. Would be great for lily-of-the-valley lovers. It does indeed smell similar to 5th Avenue. I like it. -

I have lately discovered my love for (some) Galimard scents. To me they are very sophisticated and I learned: spray them, wait for several hours and they evolve, change and turn to lovely sophisticated very feminine and individual wonderful scents. Again, after trying Ma Faute, Accroche Coeur, Cantabelle, Canaica, Eve and the lovely a Demi-Mot, I tried Brindille. ...And I took the eau de parfum home :) A wonderful perfectly balanced flower souffle. I personally detect mostly the hyacinth but in a soft and lovely way. Light perfume though present. It is winter now and I enjoy wearing it, I can think it is perfect to spring too, but I enjoy it so much, so why not in winter? Brindille reminds me somehow to my beloved Kenzo d'eté though lighter. I am curious to try more Galimards, to me they are a surprise, so far they have all evolved over time, so they never smelled like in the beginning. To me an experience, I will try whenever I come across. And I am happy to have Brindille in my colelction .

The sales lady at their shop in Eze told me that Brindille has the same flowers as the wedding bouquet of Grace Kelly! I think they still go on with this modern fairy tale there! Brindille is a very feminine, ladylike punch of jasmine with a typical strong animalic start that slowly fades away living an aura of jasmine de Grasse. It's elegant, moderately simple, perfect with a summer elegant outfit and requires a certain degree of confidence to sport it around as it is not probably perceived like a mainstream modern floral, rather like an old time floral perfume when ladies smelled like ladies! I enjoyed it much more after 1-2 hours on my skin.

It is 99 per cent same like 5th avenue to me, it actually smells similar to the way I fondly remember 5th avenue smelling on my mother when I was a kid as compared to the way it smells on her now. I like 5th avenue so I will enjoy wearing the tester. If shipping wasn't costly, I would have bought a full bottle to mom because 5th avenue is her signature scent. I didn't read the ingredients before trying so it was a very pleasant surprise for sure. Highly recommended.

While "Brindille" is not a perfume that breaks any longevity records, I have to say that the time it lasts on one's skin is a magical time! It is soft in a delicate way, very light and airy, "silvery" and soapy trasparent! If you like "Diorissimo" and "Scarlett" or if you are one of those (like me) who think that "Diorissimo" and the likes are close to the point but not close enough, do give "Brindille" a try. Somehow, I'm in love with this perfume..

Finalement je crois que c'est "Brindille" qui se rapproche le plus de la formule originale de 1956 de Diorissimo.....
