Feminissime

It's much better than I feared after looking at the notes. Yes, it's sweet but it's not a 100% gourmand. This is a very classy French gourmand. Yes, I get the tonka and musk but thankfully although a fruity scent it isn't too much of the pineapple. This is a very feminine, well blended scent so its name is spot on. The iris and neroli stop this getting too sweet. It doesn't smell like the mainstream sugary offerings in the department stores. I'm so relieved it doesn't remind me of la vie est belle or miss Dior. This is for a sophisticated gal with tonnes of personality who wants to smell alluring but unique like her. After a short while the sweetness is much less and it is quite a sophisticated creature and smells almost like a vintage chypre. The iris, neroli, patch and oak moss are now dominant. I get good longevity and sillage in this warm room.

I love how sweet this is, first think I felt was some kind of pear or something of that sort. It will definitely be a present for a lady in the future.

Galimard describes Feminissime as a Amber Floral fragrance, and I’m going to disagree. This is a fruitchouli: sticky fruit on a base of vanilla, tonka and patch....with a sharp acerbic opening. Add a couple of spoonfuls of sugar and this verges into headache territory. It’s a little too much of everything and not as refined as Guerlain’s Souffle flankers (as mentioned by another reviewer below). Major stamina and projection is a plus if this is your bag. I thought sampling from a splash vial was problematic, but Galimard’s liquid sachets are worse. There’s no way to get the juice out without spilling it all over.

I like the papery/ silky iris in it. I don’t like the sugary fruits, it’s just not my kind of thing. But it’s well done and it could suit someone loving heavy sweet parfumes with a great sillage.

This is said to be similar to La Vie Est Belle by Lancome. My nose disagrees. I don't like La Vie Est Belle. To me it has no clarity. It's just a loud, obnoxious sweet fog. I can't pick out any notes. It just feels like a mash of chemicals. Not pleasant. (I'm not trying to be rude here, I'm trying to explain why I don't find Feminissime and La Vie Est Belle partricularly similar.) Feminissime on the other hand has clarity, and it's not too strong. I can pick out notes. At first it smells like rich, deep, honeyed peaches. There's a soft floral vibe in here, that also has a slight honeyed feel to it. And the base is somewhat dark, earthy and musky. There's a phase where I pick up on the patchouli, and that note might have a tiny hint of La Vie Est Belle about it. But it only last 10-15 minutes or so, so the resemblance is vague and short lived. I like Feminissime. Maybe not enough to get a bottle, but surely enough to really enjoy my sample. Strength is medium, but it dries down to a skin scent within an hour or so. Longevity is about 4-5 hours.

In the nicest way possible, this smells like a housewife. She doesn't really think or care about perfumes, they are just a tool for her to further 'fit' into the standard society expects of her. This is as inoffensive and as feminine as it gets, without smelling like either her grandma or like her teenage stepdaughter. Nothing about it is daring, or attention grabbing or seductive. Between the Madonna and the whore, she's the maiden madonna. Sweet, floral, fruity - as expected of a woman, matured by a woody sweet tonka base (no amber detected) and easy to chew, patchouli. It smells like perfume. If aliens came down to earth and were curious about what a perfume is, this is the one to show them. It smells like perfume, it's a perfume! It doesn't smell like anything in particular, except 'womans fragrance', it's the median ø of all perfumes. Easiest gift for a feminine woman, who does not care for perfume.

To me this is a sickly sweet, slightly green patchouli. The "this perfume reminds me of" line up says it all - it is a crowd pleasing, sugary, fruity confection for the modern designer market that is indistinguishable from Flowerbomb, LVEB, et al. If I was digging for a compliment for this scent I could say that at least the pineapple note does its best to add some interest. But overall I find this fragrance cloying, nauseating and not at all to my taste. Obviously this type of perfume is incredibly popular now, but it's just not for me.

A typical gourmand-smelling scent. I encounter a lot of people wearing this kind of thing on a daily basis so I guess many people would find this wearable. For my part I am glad that, despite its healthy sillage, this wasnt a gigantic sillage bomb and it didn't exhibit a burnt kind of scent so I did not have to wash it off. Performance is good though so I wouldn't hesitate at all in buying this as a gift to friends who I think might find this enjoyable.

tonka/vanilla fragrance with burst of alcohol in the top and some tart pineapple that burned off fast; musk and patchouli; a tonka fragrance that has a dark quality to it; deep and creamy but still sharp and biting; long lasting; reminds me of a Guerlain Shalimar Souffle flanker

This does remind me of LVEB, but with a prominent pineapple and a toned down patchouli and sugar. It's a little more refined than LVEB in that it feels less heavy and cloying and has a little more texture to balance out the heavy notes.
