Journal Intime

I own this and will likely keep it in rotation (I.e., I'll replace it when its gone). I find myself reaching for Journal Intime when I want to smell discretely feminine. This is a refined scent that does not scream its presence. It is most certainly a 'fruity floral' and a very luscious, cheerful one at that. As a bonus, the price point can't be beat; I'm really surprised at how affordable this is for the quality. Younger women (20s) are encouraged to try this, i think they would be pleasantly surprised to compare this to more commercial offerings.

Currant to rose ending in sandalwood. I associate this fragrance to my time as a newlywed. Whenever I open the bottle it takes me back to that time. Lovely how perfumes do that. It was gifted to me from my MIL during my rehearsal dinner, and I wore it on my wedding day and throughout my honeymoon. She had picked it up during her travels to Grasse. It was a very small bottle but now only has about less than an mL left. I refuse to let it run out.

This lovely perfume fills my nose with memories of an English garden on a rainy day. The grapefruit and black currant notes dominate, causing an euphoric feeling of bathing in the rain by a green shrub. The floral notes are more gentle, they are there but only quietly radiating femininity. This scent is not offensive at all, very nice on the senses. Mysterious and young but still sexy and inviting.

Refreshing, uplifting fruity floral that opens with strong currant and freshness of grapefruit. The drydown becomes a soft berry musk with sillage that sits close to the skin. I love the name of this fragrance (diary in French)—very fitting for the youthful energy and intimacy.

I got this in a sample set a few years ago from the store in Èze. I’ve never gotten bored of it, it’s beautifully blended with no “off” notes, clean, fresh, not too sweet, crowd-pleasing, yet unique. I’ll be repurchasing this one for my collection.

This start very juice and of sour and aromatic berries, like just currants.. It is indeed a very sweet/sour opening for a rose scent to be.. The heart note is lovely when the rose and iris is forming a very intrieging mix, reminding me of the iris in prada infusion d"iris - wich I love ! So that was a good surprise ! The blackberries and santal makes it a sweet deep woody musk. I really like it, nothing more nothing less. Now I haven't been to Grasse so I can't tell if this is a genuine brand or upcomer - I think this is an old perfumery house and it certainly smells classy to my nose !!! I will really enjoy wearing my little mini ! Thanks Sumukorente !
