L'Ete Dernier

This is the most beautiful, most nostalgic and familiar, rich, full smelling floral perfume that I have ever came across. This is me in a bottle. For the last year I just could not stop wearing it for a day, even when I wore other things, I would still sprayed this on top. I want to smell like this all the time. This is not even an obsession for me. Pure unconditional love flowing in my aura when I wear it, this is my ultimate fragrance soulmate. My lover. I had a previous comment, but I needed to delete it and wait for the perfect moment when I have the proper words to describe. On the top you smell a rich lavendery marzipany bergamot. I got mostly tuberose, yland and a little bit of rose in the heart and airy, a little bit dusty sandalwood with light powdery vanilla in the base. The middle with the flowers is sensual and a little bit soapy. The concoction gives me cleanly comforting feeling with angelic vibes. I used to spray it next to my pillow and I wake up to the most clean fresh sweet air every day that you can just imagine. This is how my heaven on Earth smells like. Update 2023Dec: second winter when I wear it and I must say it is more balanced in the cold. Bit more woody and less floral, I enjoy it this way more. In the summer more bergamot and florals come through. Interesting.. I fall deeper in love with it every day haha. A stranger asked me today what I am wearing, because it is so nice. Gentle, not in your face, but still present. She was about two arms away and I just applied it an hour ago. So this baby projects quite well. And this was for the Edt!! Update 2024March: I feel like it is a statement making perfume. But in a different type of way. It states that I am through many things and I know who I am. I have gained some solid and silent self confidence and I maintained my humble side. I know my worth, I know I am beautiful, I am authentic and I am living my best self, my divine feminine nature. Nothing can wreck me, I am balanced, harmonious and stable...kind of way.

I don’t smell tuberose. But this is very lovely. Reminds me of Chanel Bois des Iles. Similar notes. Might even be a dupe for that. I bought on a whim bc I was getting into tuberose beachy perfumes ... Aldehydes is what they mean by ‘radiant light’ I believe on website. That’s what makes it smell like Chanel as well as the Iris powdery note. I love Iris / powdery floral perfumes. I’m not getting a lot of florals but enough. It’s very well blended. It gives me that makeup / lipstick accord which I’m always looking for, but without the stronger spice, ginger & leather in Putain des Palaces. That same sexy courtesan vibe. It does remind me of Samsara also with the creamy powdery, Sandalwood, but I prefer this. I have that vintage but don’t wear it often as it’s a bit heavy & mature. This is a little more modern, softer, a touch more floral comes through as opposed to just wood & powder. I moved it into my top perfumes. It’s quite unique. A combination of things I’ve been looking for in a signature. I prefer a stronger overall white floral usually, but I alternate between powdery makeup florals & woody florals. So this has all of that going on. Very comforting & nostalgic. “Last Summer” but long ago. A vintage. I’ll have to try in spring & summer maybe to get more of that Ylang Ylang & floral blend.

This is my absolute favourite from this brand so far! Stunning! Sensual! Opulent! Such a beautiful fragrance! On my skin this comes across as a tropical island in bloom. All the exotic flowers are dipped in honey, and the island is bathed in the rich, golden light from a stunning sunset. Crazy pretty! Strength is a strong medium and longevity is a little over 5 hours.

This review is for the parfum. What can I say I love this one. A bright comforting fragrance that came to mind early morning walks by the beach caressed by the sea breeze which carry the scent of orange blossom, ylang ylang and iris. Has a hint of saltiness also. This perfume will take you places, give it a try and close your eyes...

A beautiful and very French scent. Galimard and Fragonard are not great enduring perfume houses for nothing. Looking at the list of notes you could easily imagine this to be a strong cloying diva scent. These strong floral notes like tuberose, ylang and neroli are balanced with the vanilla and sandalwood. They delicately weave around each other to create a very wearable elegant floral. The iris adds a little coolness and powderiness. Gradually the Floral notes soften further and the vanilla and sandalwood are a little more prominent. If you enjoy florals then well worth testing. It's a floral with the warmth and sweetness from vanilla. It makes me feel very feminine and womanly. A class act. I've used up my sachet sample and I definitely want an fb. I'm turning into a major Galimard fan. I get average longevity and sillage.

This is a very lovely floral, but I probably ought to revisit it when it’s not -21C outside with snow. I can see this more for warm weather wear, and it’s perfect for the office or church or school. Beautiful and inoffensive. Bonus: It smells very French, although I really have no idea what a French perfume *should* smell like, but my imagination tells me it is so.

Have made my way through the pack of seven samples over the past week and I was wondering if the best would be saved for last - turns out I might be right. This scent is all creamy ylang ylang and sunshine to begin with, cut through by bergamot and something my nose thinks is clove. Rich and bright white florals then burst over sandalwood and the effect is warm, beachy, and wonderful. As you wear it and it warms up, the feeling becomes more cosy and enveloping. Sadly though the dry down is all vanilla and that's not my thing. However I do think this is the best of all the fragrances I tried this week, as it is beautifully composed, luxurious feeling and exotically elegant.

A delightfully French fragrance. Brought back holiday memories of Saintes Marie de la Mer on first spray. Beautiful floral-vanilla which really does evoke the feeling of warm, dry sand in your shoes, white horses on the salt marshes of the Camargue, lazy days and convivial evenings bathed in the scent of ylang-ylang, tuberose, vanilla-sand and orange blossom. I will probably need two bottles of this. It may be April outside, but in my heart, today, it's August. Just lovely. Excellent bang for your buck, competitively priced and the company are very generous with samples with your purchase.

Beginners Review L'Été Dernier EDP is a charming floral fragrance that that has surprising presence and character in the dry down. Good longevity without being a beast. Nothing cloying about it. Perfect for the spring. Seems lady like and demure, but not shy,(if that makes any sense) It's included in the sampler of 12 fragrances packaged in sachets. I had to transfer it into a sprayer from the sachet as it's a pain to use directly from the sachet. Yes, I would buy it as Galimard has priced it reasonably. 4/5

"L'Ete Dernier", is an amazing French floral perfume, one of those you don't find anymore. Imagine a mix of vintage "Beautiful" and "Poeme". It is a very natural smell (keep that in mind - some people might find that a negative) which I don't mind wearing all day, everyday for the rest of my life. It is just beautiful! PS. Galimard, must really do something with their shipping prices which are irrational for so many countries nowadays..

There are people who will LOVE this. Sadly, I’m not one of those people. This is all sweet orange blossom and heady tuberrose. This is so linear and sweet that it gave me a headache and I needed to scrub it off. If you like extremely heady fragrances this is one to try.

I’m in love ! It’s a yellow floral, a clean one. Gives you that summer beach vacation feeling but you can wear it in winter too because it’s rich. The longevity is amazing a you can buy the body lotion too !

A few reviewers not on here have said this is a dupe for sicily by dolce and gabanna. How does this compare to the fragrance released back in 2003?
