Oud Jasmin

Strange choice of name. Aoud Jasmine. There's no oud in here, and the jasmine isn't particularly prominent either. There's no fruity note in this perfume, at least it's not mentioned. But this is an intensely fruity fragrance on my skin. It feels juicy, a tad green and softly sweet - like green pears. In the opening, and well over an hour into this scents journey on the skin, Aoud Jasmine smells like I've dipped my hand in a jar of pear juice. Simple, fresh and ripe pears, and nothing else. After an hour or so some floral notes appear within this pear juice smell, but they only create subtle nuances and a little depth to the fragrance. They never take over the show. The smell of pears linger. The scent ends with a soft musky warmth. And I can still detect that pear vibe, even in the last whiff. Aoud Jasmine reminds me of a mix between Montale Wild Pears and Nicolaï Parfumeur Créateur Musc Intense. Strength and sillage is medium at first, but dries down to more of a skin scent after about an hour and a half. Longevity is medium. I get about 5 hours out of this.

My experience with Aoud Jasmin is most similar to Tiwalii's below. I got an initial blast of what I thought was aldehydes but as others observed it is more of an 'alcoholic' note. I too got a 'green vibe' and envisioned lime or something citrusy. Then a deep, rich floral kicked in. Jasmin was not my first guess but ylang ylang or narcissus; it was that rich. As I went about my morning the song 'Dancin' in the Streets' by Martha and Vineyards kept coming to mind; this scent is just that joyful. So much so that I re-applied it every 5-6 hours (again, Tiwalii noted the 5 hour longevity). This may have been its downfall; I went to sleep wearing this and that's when the musky note kicked in. The song changed from 'Dancin' in the Street' to 'Rollin' in the Deep'. I'm going to put this aside for a month and revisit it; see if my experience changes.

Misleading name as with many other fragrances from this line. No oud and almost no traceable jasmine. Instead, it’s a sweet fruity, almost putrid fragrance, which I did not enjoy. Lasts maybe 2-3 hours on my skin. It’s a no from me.

This is bizarre. When you initially spray it there’s an INTENSE smell of alcohol, almost like nail polish remover. It’s very unpleasant for the first two minutes but then suddenly shifts to a rose/pear scent, and remains that way. As Tiwalii mentioned, there’s no oud, and I don’t get any jasmine either. Once it dries down it’s not a bad scent per se but the discrepancy between the name and the reality is jarring.

I got a few samples of Galimard and this one was first I tried out . Even if I won’t read the name of this fragrance I was absolutely smells Jasmine. It’s strange for me that so many reviews saying it doesn’t lasts long . On my skin it was more than 8 hours and I couldn’t take my nose from it as absolutely lover of Jasmine. This Fragrance really is an Oud of Jasmine! Will definitely buy a bottle!
