Paradoxe

I own the perfume concentration, which in my opinion is by far the best of all (this applies to all Galimard perfumes). Well of course the parallel with Womanity is obvious since you do get a fruity savoury accord of ripe fig sprinkled with sea salt, but here the woods give more body to the scent in a quite strong but very nice way. Think fig wood as in Guerlain Lemon fresca, that's about the same effect: palpable without being overwhelming, just the right amount of woody aromas to counterbalance the sweeter ones. I particularly like the sophisticated lush mediterranean garden vibe it has, which makes it a perfect match for summertime, day or night. Longevity is awesome, and projection average which is what you would normally expect from pure perfume. I would add that while I cannot stand Womanity (which smells like oysters on me) I wear Paradox with much delight and will strongly recommend it to anyone who'd like to venture safely yet nicely onto the sweet savoury territory.

Truely inspiring! I love the fruity opening, the figs. The florals are gentle and not too sweet. The woodiness...ahh! Perfectly composed and mostly delightful. Simple, but with elegance. (Reminds me Spring in Provence but it is more airy, bright. The flowers full in bloom and no cloying.) This is the perfume of day-dreaming, little pleasures and youthful smile (whatever age you are). Sillage intimate, but nice longevity (4-5 hrs).

A lovely innocent and soft fragrance. Neither too fruity nor too woody. Nothing not to like. Please note that the notes shown are not entirely accurate! The notes acc. to Galimard are Top: Lemon, Dried fig Heart: Fig tree, Radiant notes Base: Cedar wood, Amber, Musk

I got a sample of this as a gift. The fragrance picked my interest at first when I tried it on a piece of paper. It is quite unusual, kind of reminded me of ginger at the time, with some woody and floral undertones. I tried it on my skin afterwards, and that was awful. It reminded me of my childhood in the countryside and crushed bugs most of all. Definitely not for me. My mom, however, has a full-sized bottle and is happy with it. It's a matter of taste.

Paradoxe - Galimard got this as a gift travelsize 15 ml when I bought Gelsomino- Galimard 100 ml EdT for my christmas gift this year 2013. Smells like sharp and some figs fruity lemons a very crisp slightly intense scent not one I would buy full size but a travelsize is just right for this I use it in the daytime wakes you up. Bit unusual I smell cedar wood? also very faint.
