Crèmelle

Sampling Cremelle, one of the latest two releases from Gallagher Fragrances (the other being Cadence), and a very delicately balanced, sweet, creamy, and slightly spicy gourmand. It smells mainly of crème brulee, accented by spices, woods, and resins, really an elegant gourmand blend that both accurately conjures the crème brulee dessert while also being a wearable, inviting perfume, really a superb achievement like the Pearlescent Collection’s original release, Baklava, but better, I would argue! Definitely a must-try for gourmand fans, and a very good performer. Consider it also among my favorites of the house, one of several great releases in 2023-24, including Tonkazure, Purple Powder, and Cadence. Cremelle, part of the Pearlescent Collection, is extrait concentration and priced at $125 for 60ml, very reasonable in the current market for such quality. 8 out of 10

This is an absolute masterpiece. I've been through about half of a sample set and this one is the best thus far. When I first smelled this I thought, *this smells like sugar caramelizing over a campfire* and I think that's basically the point. This comparison might not make sense, but I think it's a more unisex version of bentley for men intense, or a higher quality version of by the fireplace.

Burnt sugar like on a creme brullee, and the wood it has just been melted over. Something reminiscent of By the fireplace but sweeter and more syrupy.

Lighter, more airy, creamier carpe cafe with toffee and a very slight hint of hinoki

Blind bought this during their black friday sale. It's not a gourmand at all, not to my nose anyway. I seem to get the opposite effect to most of the reviews on here where the creamy caramel comes through in the dry down moreso than the opening. It opens WAY woodier than I was expecting (luckily I can get on board with woody notes but just be forewarned) and reminded me of Al Contrario by Tiziana Terenzi, which I already own so was slightly disappointed. They are definitely in the same wheelhouse. I dont get any citrus, just a lot of wood at the beginning and then that creamy, vanillic creme brulee caramel with some of those bodacious resins complementing it in the dry down. I totally agree with the creaminess sans lactonic notes noted below. I do like it (thankfully) but it's a crap ton of wood in the beginning that you have to get through first..

I like the fragrance, but from the description I thought it would be more creme brule forward. The beginning opens up with bergamot and spice, when it starts to dry down you can smell caramel in the distance. It's an absolutely beautiful note. I was hoping as the scent developed it would become more prominent, but it dried down fairly quickly into a light woody/spicy scent. It smells very smooth, almost creamy, but without being lactonic. Although this fragrance absolutely is not a gourmand and not what I was expecting at all, it is a very comforting well blended scent. It smells VERY similar to Navitus Lost In a Dream, although I do like this fragrance more. I'm not sure of the longevity. I've had it on my wrist for about an hour now. It's starting to fade into a very light skin scent. I'm not sure if the fragrance stays better on clothing.

Although I’m sad this didn’t work for me, I’m not that sad. Hinoki and citrus are some of my absolute favorite notes in a perfume but my mistake was thinking the warmer, gourmand notes that are also included in here would work with them all. This I guess just smells like burnt lemon sugar. Not crème brûlée burnt sugar, but stale, burnt-oil sugar. It’s just not for me! I am hoping to explore more from this house tho and give them another try. The effort was there but my nose didn’t enjoy.

Something in this smells like the rum note and me and that rum note do not get along. I also expected it to be a little sweeter even though there are three different woods. Maybe the woods mixed with the espresso note is giving me rum vibes? Idk. This one is not for me!

This is a woody gourmand to my nose. It was overly spicy sweet at first spray, but it turns a bit woody as it dries down. It gets better, but this is too sweet and cloying for my preference. Glad I got a sample. I would never buy a full bottle.

I do not find this gourmand or vanilla/caramel forward at all, and I would never in a million years have thought of crème brûlée. I get all woody incense and patchouli. As promised, hinoki is very prominent. It’s a pretty nice scent, and is unique enough that I can’t compare it to anything else, and it lasts a long time. It’s *very* masculine, so I’m going to give my sample to my husband and see if it works better for him than it did for me. Judging by the listed notes I figured this would be very sweet and feminine, but it’s not what I expected at all and I would not wear this personally.

testing out my sample of this. i'm a caramel lover, and the caramel in the beginning is beautiful - smooth and buttery. i really ish it stayed around longer. the drydown is primarily woods, spices, and a little smoke. it smells like fall and reminds me of By the Fireplace. i never really pick up anything lactonic, and i'm glad. overall, it's much more unisex than I would have guessed. i love the opening but the longer i wear it and the more it dries down the more i imagine i would love this on my guy.

Got a sample of this sent to me with my order of "Behold Patchouli". Tested on skin this morning and am pleased to report that I like it. Pleasant to my nose and very long wearing with appropriate sillage. If you want to dip your toe into a modern gourmand, this could be it. Won't be purchasing a full bottle because this 2 ml will last me 3 years.

This is the ultimate comfort smell, it’s almost difficult to describe, it’s a bit praline, but spicy- the citrus nicely cuts through the sweetness so it’s not overpowering but it still remains sweet not fresh, and the musk adds this depth to it that makes it feel like a warm hug. I’m obsessed and I’m definitely getting a full size.

My favorite gourmand I’ve tried in the last year or so. It’s sweet but not sickenly sweet. It never goes sour nor does it change into something completely different. It’s lasted over 14 hours on me, with great sillage and I love it! It’s going on my Christmas list this year. 🎄 🎄 🎄

As a gourmand lover, I didn't find this gourmand at all. It is sharp, almost boozy smelling and kind of burns my nose. I wanted it to be a lot sweeter.. but I barely detect any sweetness at all. It's also more masculine than I thought it would be. Don't really care for it.

Plenty of cinnamon, slightly burnt sugar aswell. A kind of Althair sweetness, but this is way better
