Evergreen Dream

If you are a fan of aromatic centered fragrance then one to test. Lots of pine, cedar and cashmere with the lavender, galbanum and oak moss forming the accent notes. The oak moss, lavender and galbanum actually become more prominent with time. This lifts the fragrance. Its fresher now and perfectly unisex. I really like it. One I can share with my oh. I do though see that this scent would not be appreciated by many ladies. If your a confident, independent type of woman and like to express your personality through your clothing etc then you should like this. A fan of J Ormonde Woman? Try this beauty. It's much more interesting. It's a scent for casual days. A woody aromatic scent with lots of herbally greenness. Perfect for cool weather days.

An interesting herbal masculine fougere that smells like the 80s' fougere powerhouses like Drakkar Noire but has a very herbal lavender note in it that reminds me of Houbigant's Fougere Royale. In fact, the lavender in this smells literally like real lavender essential oil and has terpenoid qualities to it (it smells somewhat like cannabis). The sillage and longevity are both very strong. In the ended I ended up selling this though, because I like Tom Ford Italian Cypress just a bit more than this, and they both occupy the same role really as masculine green chypre fragrances. 4/5

I’m surprised by the low rating, as I enjoy wearing my sample and would categorize Evergreen Dream as a fizzy green aromatic with an incense twist (woods and musk coming together). I smell cedar as the top note, then lavender. This is an enchanted forest with pure, clean air. And I agree with Shushkin, this is perfectly unisex. Working my way through the latest Gallagher releases, and Evergreen Dream is a scent I want to come back to again.

Amazing scent, super strong, well blended. Super strong at first which might frighten some. Almost animalic, brash and harsh opening but... smell through it as it is the combo of super strong cedar, pine and lavender. Once you process that, this is the first step to really loving it for its quality. The dry down is so good! Paradoxically, i find the fragrance soothing in its strength. So unique too.

The drydown of this is to die for! I agree with others that the opening is a little harsh, I wasn’t thrilled by this one at first. But once it settles...wow! It leans a little too masculine for my preference, so I won’t likely be wearing this myself, but I’d definitely buy it for my significant other because it’s just sooo delicious and inviting. Incredible for cool weather!

This latest release from Gallagher Fragrances, Evergreen Dream, has all the makings of a great fragrance, and in fact reminds me of some very good ones. It's the first entry from the house I've tried that's truly dominated by woods. Evengreen Dream's note listing is complex and long, and what it smells like to me is mainly a mix of pine resin and birch tar with some lavender and oakmoss for freshness and character, respectively. I can't say I get a ton of the galbanum or patchouli, but surely musk and cedar could be there, especially after a some hours of dry down. It begins a bit sharper, likely due to the lime zest and grapefruit, but I don't specifically detect the juiciness of the fruit, but rather a generic sort of tang that hangs over top of the woody notes that start to emerge as the dominant accords very very quickly into wearing. As it dries down, it's a predictably smoother, easier-to-wear blend, where the lavender factors in slightly but it's mostly the pine resin and birch tar duo, the stars of the show. It reminds me, as Brooklyn Fragrance Lover points out, of the Tom Ford Private Blend Vert collection (Bois, Encens, etc.) in the greenness, but in its depth, it reminds me of Tom Ford Italian Cypress, perhaps some of the highest regards I can give a woody fragrance. As with Daniel's other fragrances, Evergreen Dream performs very well and at $135 for 100ml, its pricing is agreeable, and much better than the abovementioned Tom Ford Private Blend offerings. It only loses slight point for originality, and it's not quite as robust as the TFPBs, but it has very high value in terms of cost per ml and versatility, as it's a little more useful year-round than some of the over-the-top woody options out there. 7 out of 10

Begins with touching of the pine needles and green with the lavender. It quickly fades into a lavender fragrance with a very subtle pine needle touch. It's nice to try and see if you like, it definitely is a good one. It's a nice one to wear with a crisp, button down shirt, heading to the office or daytime event type. Can really be worn outside of winter to be honest, it's a very subtly nice fragrance. I see the women before me say how it leans more masculine... but honestly to me, it doesn't. Either can wear this. Reminds me of Lanvin Homme

bitter like rolling around in herbs and crushed rotting things in a forest; mainly galbanum and lavender with tons of cedar, oakmoss and a dash of pine and minty patchouli; pine should not be listed as the top note, can't people smell all the bitterness?

Green fougere. Doesn't smell clean, the dirtiness from the oak moss overpowers the composition. I mostly get pine and oak moss then 30% lavender. It is brash and harsh. The pine note here is very synthetic and mediocre.

Pine scent, woody, but also very generic. I've smelled much better, such as Svensk En. Received as a free sample and not bottle worthy imo.

Today I am testing the newest release from Gallagher Fragrances – Evergreen Dream. This juice is a fougere and does follow the more traditional formulation model of the fragrance category but finishes quite differently. This fragrance opens with a slightly bitter yet fresh, green aromatic. I clearly get the scent of evergreen trees. The opening is strong and surrounds you in the wonderful aroma of being in a lush green forest. About an hour in, the lavender appears. Lavender is a note that I struggle with; I think it’s one of those notes that people tend to be polarized on. The lavender in this juice is bold but it has been tempered with a rich birch tar, wood note, and pine resin. The accompanying notes add a warmth to the lavender making it more, and in my opinion more universally wearable, than the individual note. After roughly another hour, the base notes enter and the juice begins it’s drydown. For me, this is where the magic happened. Prior to the drydown, I was enjoying Evergreen Dream as a pleasant fougere but the entry of the woods, musk, moss, and clean patchouli created a scent that I wanted to continue to sniff. The remaining wear of this juice was a beautiful slightly green, warm, intimate, lightly musky, woods. The formulation makes this scent year round much like the green in an evergreen. This fragrance continued to wear on me for 9 hours with a moderate projection that became more of a lighter one toward the end of the drydown. Top Notes: Turkish Galbanum, with hints of Lime Zest & White Grapefruit Middle Notes: Birch Tar, Cashmeran, Russian Lavender, & Pine Resin Bottom Notes: Texas Cedarwood, Coumarin, Musk, Oakmoss, & Patchouli

Evergreen Dream names so dreamy tho. ==== First Impression Evergreen Dream is smooth blend - Pine green experience, Fougere route but not necessary Fougere experience. This one emphasis on more smoky green side of thing, the smoke is white and clean combine with soft crisp linen musk, soft powdery coumarin. Not very Herbaceous and wet forest deep forest. More like country side forest, sunny with soft moist soil, fertility. It lacks Oakmoss so I didn't have that classic Shaving Cream vibe when dry-down. However Cashmeran provide kind of similar effect in composition, it is musk instead of Shave Cream, bring this to Unisex scale. Where I do like is strong stench of Lavender is highlighted so well in composition. However, Lavender lost its charm slight fast. Merge with that soft crisp linen musk. It becomes ordinary fougere experience slight too fast but the skin smell that linger. It still very usable. If I haven't sniff MEM by Bogue. I think this should fulfilled my wish easily. Another good suggestion on this experience is Opus II, Liberty collection. Evergreen Dream is solid fragrance for me for everyday usage as first impression. Metallic pine lime galbanum. A very interesting lime galbanum with bits of pine and huge doses of metallicas. The lavender are almost not shown or visible but the oakmoss, & grabefruit are quite visible and kind of clear. No tonka so far. The birch is there. An interesting take on greens going fizzy and juicy. Interesting.

Great stuff a bit harsh the first hour but eventually develops into a masculine and very green barbershop style drydown, took a few wearings to appreciate fully, stays on clothes for days, for cold weather mainly IMO, above average performance, my final verdict is 8 out of 10.

I was really excited for this one as I love the smells of pine trees needles. That is definably in there but other smells seem to take over. I think it is way too masculine for my taste. its like a department store men's cologne with evergreen thrown in subtly.
