O'Vert

The marriage of a high quality - spicy yet cooling - Cardamom and Elemi oleo-resin, Bergamot, Lemon, Lime,and Sweet Orange. This is something different, in the same vein as Nishane Hacivat. Not that they smell the same but the that they have the same scent structure. I get a strong natural pine note that is probably coming from the oleo-resin (reminding me of scent of peace). An absolute fantastic addition to the Gallagher lineup. This one is full bottle worthy. Edit: Year later and this fragrance has jumped to my number most complimented in my collection. At this point this fragrance is back up bottle worthy and comes in with amazing longevity, compliments 4-6 hours after application. 10/10.

This is one of my favorite citrus fragrances - such a beautiful zesty lemon that is backed by an earthy vetiver and elemi. I get decent sillage and longevity, very respectable for a citrus. Initial blast touches on lemon cleaner, but it fades quickly and turns into a perfect imitation of lemon zest with green touches. It does remind me of Hermes Voyage, but I don't think they're similar enough to be redundant. Gallagher did discontinue this fragrance, but they will bring it back seasonally on occasion, so it's definitely worth sampling because there is a chance that you can get your hands on it when it becomes available!

Really fresh lemon with lime. This is juicy and organic citrus not artificial smelling. Great summer fragrance. Exceptionally well blended. Nothing overpowers the citrus. The other notes are great support. Lemon ( or maybe the other citrus notes) didn’t fade very much in the dry down like most lemon fragrances. Think I need a full bottle of this. One of the top fragrances from Gallagher for me. Maybe my favorite summer lemon scent !

A citrus lovers fragrance, hands down. The thing I really like about this one, as opposed to something I used to have like this ( Hermes, Vert D'orange )... this is a powerhouse in terms of longevity. There isn't much to say about this other than, If you love citrus fragrance, or want a nice fresh one for the Summer/Warmer weather, this is the one. This will be going into my permanent collection. Yacht sold separately...

This is absolutely beautiful. The lemon in the initial spray down not come off as that cleaner type lemon. The lemon fades away and your left with beautiful aromatic saltiness. If you are thinking about go ahead and order the sample. 9/10 you will order a full bottle after you smell it. Easy to wear perfect for summer time. I honestly can’t get enough of it.

A very realistic lemon scent. It smells like the essential oil of lemon, no artifice here. A delightfully pungent citrus, absolutely worth testing if you like citrus.

This is a surprisingly long-lasting lemon fragrance. The other notes do make their appearance -- a very necessary brushstroke of vetiver and something a little savory (the cardamom, maybe?), but it's all about the lemon here. It's not overtly (heh) green to me, not in the classical perfumery sense (nary a mint nor pea nor sprig of fir, nor any blades of grass) -- but it's fresh nevertheless, fabulous on a hot day. It's also delightfully unisex, as all my favorite citrus scents are. A lemon doesn't need to be gendered; it just needs to be a lemon. Edit to add: Apparently they are discontinuing O'Vert? Which is a huge bummer. I really like it!

If you’re looking for a salty citrus vetiver for warmer days, look no further. Absolutely stunning fragrance from Gallagher Fragrances, O'Vert is easily the best of this style available that I’ve laid my nose on. Technically brilliant, absolutely wearable and throughly enjoyable by anyone. This is a winner.

To me it has sort of a bleach like smell in the dry down. Kind of interesting. Reminds me of Hermes Voyage d'Hermes.

This is basically lemon, lime, vetiver, and salty ambergris accord. The elemi is also fairly noticeable in this, which I think contributes to some of the lemon cleaner vibes that others have mentioned. I get the resemblance to Mancera Lemon Line...but this has a slightly salty/oceanic undertone that I don't get in the Mancera. Overall, this comes across fairly synthetic to me, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Really performs well in the heat and humidity. IMO this is unisex, leaning more masculine. This would be nice on a guy, but it's not something I'd wear...I'm not a fan of the vetiver in this.

My brain may be wired all wrong-- but having had a fair bit of experience with horses, this very much reminds me of horses sprayed with fly spray, with just a lilt of hot manure (the salty note perhaps?). If I didn't already have that association, this is a masculine citronella and not a bad lemon. Probably a good scent for city folks, others probably should get a sample first, just sayin! ;-)

Pine Sol, salty orange and Sierra Mist.

Very nice. Smells exactly like the zesty lemon in Akro Bake. This is basically Akro Bake without the "bake" cupcake/cookie vibe. Without looking at notes this smells like sharp lemon, ginger and a touch of cardamom. Natural smelling compared to 99% of lemon/other freshies in the market. Doesn't have any head ache inducing chemical/perfumy side notes which is great. Seems that freshies that last long all have some chemical side note (wulong cha, vibrato, chanel chanche eau fraiche...), I quess it's the only way to make this type of profile to last (with the expense of a natural smell). Others have mentioned that O' Vert lasts.. nope. It does not. Tested on myself and my husband (skin + clothes) and there was zero sillage or projection to begin with and turned to a complete whisper of a skin scent after 2h max. In the first 1h the smell is nice in one's own scent bubble, others can smell it only when hugging. Lasting power is still better than say Molecule 01+Mandarin but... I was disappointed.

Well done sweet yet salty citrus...I daresay tangy...with smooth vetiver in the base. Would add that there is a Danielade...I felt like I could identify this as a Gallagher fragrance even if I sniffed it blind...nice work!

Imagine Hermes Eau tres Fraiche but instead of oranges front and center of the fragrance it is Lime. Can't go wrong with that smell.

Once you get past the lemon pledge blast opening this relaxes into a tall glass of lemonade. It's that simple. ✨
