Peaches And Campfires

I bought this as a blind buy, intrigued by the notes, and it's a real charmer. It's an interesting take on the notion of smoky fruit, but what really surprises here in the inclusion of oregano as a note. It's noticeable (you can detect it) but it adds this excellent savory depth to what could typically be a nice amber base. This has added depth and sincerity. The peaches on top are not overdone, it's more of a preview. Longevity is particularly good, it lasts into early evening if sprayed in the morning. I particularly love ambery/rich perfumes such as this, and have a number of them, but this is unique enough to add to a collection if you like unusual takes on the idea. All the various notes add up to an unusual concoction that brings to mind the notion of bonfires, fruitwood trees, and the great outdoors.

Not familiar with the line, I had to test them out before sending them off to my friend.** I love this one. Cozy, smokey and evocative.

Yeah, this one is weird, BUT I love weird fragrances. If anyone has any, I'd be interested! I can understand many people not liking this because the odd oregano note. However, I always get compliments. Seriously anyone got some?

A fruity burnt rubber smell is what I get from this. Bergamust Noir has a very similar burnt rubber smell to it as well. So if you really enjoy this one, I bet you will enjoy BN as well. Not for me though. It is quite a unique smelling fragrance though, I must admit. Artistically speaking it shares a similar vibe to Profumum Fumidus. Not wearable in the least, but is something totally different if that is what you are into.

Absolutely repellent. I guess I don't like smokey fragrances. Reminds me of pencil lead and chloroseptic throat numbing spray. Was really looking forward to this one!

Remember that time when you were 12 and you and your buddies tried smoking oregano leaves out behind the garage? No? Well, this is what you would have smelled like.

a sharp, synthetic acrid smell as top note that gives the impression of smoke, no peach whatsoever. Reminds me of The Sum fragrances.

I'm going full Gall(review 2/8). I don't know if Gallagher did this on purpose but his bottle shows the word peaches in small font with campfires in big print. What are the chances of that being a double entendre and a microcosm of what's actualized in the developmental process of this fragrance? No doubt, this is more pollution than it is produce. Labeling this as a chypre is a little bit of a reach. This opens with a curried saffron which for me was a surprise given the note pyramid and lack of saffron votes. The peach is definitely in there but it's not deserving of the billboard treatment it's given. The black currant is harnessed by the murky vapor of smoke. Basically this fragrance is outfitted with 2 seconds of fruit but Fruity as an accord??? Sounds rather ingratiating to me. The other notes are just "other notes." Nothing to really expound upon. This has a Smolderose(the oil version) vibe to it. What was supposed to be a fun fragrance end up smelling too serious for its own good.

I received this perfume as part of a Fragrantica giveaway thanks to Mr. Gallagher. To me, this perfume is almost entirely woodsy and smoky, with the smoke and oregano notes being the most noticeable. I don't get any sweetness from it, but maybe they act as background enhancers. Overall I'd say it's okay, but not my top pick for fragrances. If you do like smoky notes, consider also trying Apoteker Tepe's Holy Mountain. I feel similarly about that one, though it lacks the oregano note that I typically associate with pizza so it beats Peaches and Campfire by a slim margin.

If you want to smell like a nice campfire get Margiela By The Fireplace - if you want to smell like a homeless person staying warm by a fire in a 55 gallon barrel get this. This is an easy reach if you want to go out and not be bothered by anyone approaching you. Heck, put out a coffee can, probably get a few dollars lol

This fragrance is very off putting atleast to me. Not sure where to pull this off I guess maybe on very cold outdoor outing maybe skiing. Definitely a winter fragrance.
