Pearfecto

My first Gallagher experience. Pretty impressive across the board. Opens with a fairly bright blend of pear and melon, which is followed shortly by citruses and banana. The drydown is excellent and increases its rather masculine edge with a woody ISO E and ambroxan blend (thankfully not in the predictable designer way) throughout its long lifespan. It's working great right now during a cool spring, but I bet it's a lot of fun into the summer and early autumn. Unisex, leaning masculine, but would still be perfect on Carmen Miranda. Yes, it's fruity at the beginning, but its personality is dynamic and interesting, with just a bit of an edge, over time. Great performance, always fun, and probably appealing to most.

This is definitely for the mature. This is a masculine man's fragrance... I do not, at all, see this being unisex. One told me this reminded them of Fahrenheit, I get a maybe for that but it's not it. They said it reminded them only. It's like a potent pear. It's on that level in terms of strong, potent smells. This really can be an all around fragrance. While I see some say Summer, I can better feel for this in the fall maybe. It gives off that autumn vibe to me more than the summer one It's a strong like from me...leaning to a love ( we'll see by weeks end ) Definitely worth checking out.

I just received my decant a couple of Days ago. This is a perfect over-riped pear of the type Conference. You get the fruitiness of melon and banana, patchouili is noticeable, but sits well in the background with no disturbing factors. The scent does have some kind of men's Cologne vibe (party because of grapefruit/ambroxan?), but in a good way. As some have mentioned, it does have some resemblance, or brand DNA if you may, with AMongs Waves. A fun, sunny, summer type, vacation fragrance. If you like pear in fragrances, you must try this one. Well done, Daniel.

pear pear pear! yummy, perfect, juicy, pear! very natural but doesn't stick around for long. The initial pear blast gives way to the other fruits and accords in about 10 minutes.The drydown is water logged driftwood with a bit of ambroxan. I really appreciate the ride this fragrance gave me. if I smelled only the top notes and forgot about it for 20 minutes then sniffed again I would wonder if they were even the same fragrance! I think people searching for a fruity 'masculine' gourmand will enjoy this one.

Initially this was a no, an almost headache inducing no... buuut wait for it to settle!! Ooooh man is it amazing! The word used below was “potent”; I agree 100%, and almost washed it off, but I’m so glad I didn’t. Once the citron, cedar and driftwood start peeking through, the pungency of the super sweet fruit mellows, blending so so beautifully! So hang in there if it’s too much initially, it was worth the wait for me

@eaudebaldi - Im a woman in my early 40s and I love Pearfecto, in fact I bought a bottle of it today, from Perfumology in Philly. My boyfriend loved it on my skin and so did I! Some people may say this is NOT a unisex scent or it’s masculine leaning but smell is very subjective, what might smell like a masculine fragrance to some, may smell like a feminine or unisex fragrance to others... just a thought!!!

First tried Pearfecto a few months ago. It didn’t make a strong impression on me. It’s now a few months later in August, when the Georgia heat/humidity are peaking. Damn this now is really appealing to me. The dry down scent seems more masculine with the cedar, patchouli, & ambergris (and just a little fruit sweetness). Will wear this more often while it’s still hot and humid. 👍

Pearfecto is Gallagher Fragrances’ most recent releases, from early 2020, and is a fresh and fruity mix that that’s aptly named, with featured notes of pear, banana, melon, grapefruit, champaca, and driftwood. The fruity mix is curious—I’m not usually a big fan of pear, but it’s well-blended with the other fruit notes, the florals, and the woody/salty touch of driftwood. It feels like an easy, unisex summer winner that’s bright and invigorating for the daytime, especially. It’s among the most versatile and friendliest of the fragrances in the line, like Bergamust, but still with some idiosyncrasies like Fineapple and O’Fraiche. Overall, it’s very nice, and I’d say that even for those that don’t generally like pear, this is something that should be tried. Like other fragrances in the line, the featured note in the name of the fragrance is not the full story, and this is a rather interesting blend that’s quite harmonious. Pearfecto is priced at $155 for 100ml, $95 for 30ml, with samples available, as well, and is sold through the Gallagher Fragrances website in the US. Particularly at the 100ml size, the pricing throughout the line remains very reasonable and for someone that loves this fragrance, it’s an especially great deal to be under the $2/ml rate. 7 out of 10

Fruit Punch in a bowl. Opening is pear, pineapple, marine notes and retro 7-up. There’s an effervescent quality to the perfume that reminds me of summer cocktails from the 1970s. Pearfecto is fun, light and refreshing with a touch of synthetics to amp up the projection and give it some longevity. One of the things I really admire about the perfumer is the way he combines natural and synthetic notes—and have it all coming out compelling in the final composition.

Smells like a realistic green banana scent. Opening is fruity though the pear is quickly evasive. It's a little fresh, a little powdery, and a lot of fun. Revisiting the scent after ~45min to settle and the banana has mostly escaped leaving a richly green banana rind fragrance. Still very interesting, but not quite as fruity and sweet as the opener.

Melon and banana--and a touch of strawberry?

I would wear this to beach, pool party or any warm day not too hot outdoors. Mainly get ambergris, fresh crisp fruitiness, kinda woody and a little floral. Banana is strong in beginning but goes away as perfume dry down then left with the slight creaminess, sweetness, slight floralness of banana. Banana and pear mix with driftwood and ambergris give off beach vibes. I almost can smell sand.

Artisan fruity concoction. I knew I smelled banana. 🍌 Suffers from quality issues. Alternates between decent, photorealistic pear, and cleaning product citrus. Deep nuance.

Fresh pear/banana on a bed of watery violet and cedar. Unisex leaning masculine. Strong sillage and longevity. This actually makes a lovely, long-lasting room spray.

If you’re someone whose skin amps up grapefruit (mine does), this leans into bathroom cleaner/ cheap men’s cologne. On paper- love; on my skin. God no.

The melon and citrus ends up smelling like bananas. Who wants to smell like banana laffy taffies?

The initial burst is very off putting. It lasts about a good 45 mins to an hour. I love Gallagher frags but this is a hell no! Easily the worst frag that I have smelled this year. I have no idea what note or combo of note does this but it smells musky from beginning to end on my skin.

This scent, Pearfecto, is bananas. No seriously! On the opening I get a very loud note of banana that shoves it way front and center between the melon and pear. It’s enough to make you strongly consider how this fragrance, and to a broader degree, any fragrance is created. It is at this point I believe I am learning something I did not already or possibly knew but had not accepted: there are some notes that are difficult to build a fragrance around. Don’t get me wrong, I love the work Daniel Gallagher is doing. He has a vision and he’s a risk taker. I get this “grassroots” (no pun intended) vibe from what he’s creating over there at Gallagher fragrance. But... this is SO close to being something more than just a quirky scent. Perhaps if I were to make any changes at all to this scent it would be the inclusion of pepper in the mid, myrrh and lavender in the base. You may ask yourself “why these particular notes, SYL?” Well the truth is I came to this conclusion after I tested another scent on my other arm when I sprayed this today. The fragrance? Zaharoff Pour Homme. I pick up those notes very distinctly in combination with Pearfecto. The pepper just gives that magnificently original opening a familiarity and kick to it. It lobs it up instead throws it in your face. The myrrh has a smoky sweetness to it and the lavender is floral and smooth. It would just add a second layer to the base. Far be it for me to tell someone like DG what to do here. But while I can say that like this, I think I appreciate the effort more than I enjoy the end result. Try it out and see what you think. I had no idea what to expect with this one but have been craving a men’s pear fragrance so this peaked my interest. On first spray, I said “wow that’s potent”. It is a very rich and full fragrance. Also a tad bit spicier/muskier than I expected. For the first 3 minutes it is sweet. Like jolly rancher sweet. If it didn’t develop, you could say that about the entire composition. Fortunately that tones down though and you are left with a fragrance that mimics Invictus Legend. Not sure if it secretly has bay leaf or what but it seems to share a very similar vibe yet still have some pear to keep it honest to its namesake. For those that judge a fragrance mainly by performance, this is for you. Its a “freshie” that can almost be boisterous if you aren’t careful (sprays or temperature worn in). While this didn’t necessarily quench my thirst for a good natural smelling pear fragrance, it it well done and I will enjoy it.

Perfumes by Gallagher Fragrances are very distinctive and qualitative. Pearfecto is a stunning take on pear. This is not a conventional sweet, delicate pear concoction, but rather a blast of tastes, where pear is aptly combined with other ripe, juicy fruits, champaca and driftwood. It is mouth-watering and making me think about dense cheese chutney... (And about cheese that it accompanies as well :-). I have only one issue with the Gallagher Fragrances: most of them contain some screeching chemical note at the beginning, and I am an absolute fan of natural ones. What a scent! Definitely one of the rare samples that make me feel that this is something else. I get a lot of leathery or smokiness, lots of citrus, and lots and lots of tropical fruit in this one. All that next to a distinct pear note, very emotive. Reminds me a little of a Limelon I've tried recently, you must try this fruit, very fragrant. Definitely getting the ripe banana and melon, lovely aspect to this scent. Smoky leathery woodsiness quiets down, and so does the pear. Banana / melon remains very prominent. Opening is Pineapple, Pear,Melon, creamy banana in the back with a touch of Lime or Bergamont. As it sits the patchouli and driftwood start to come out a bit. Definitely a summer time "fun time" fragrance with moderate Longevity and Sillage. Think tropical vacation with lots of fruity blended drinks in the shade near the ocean. Reminiscent of a Fruit Cocktail that's slightly boozy. Seems to be similar to Amongst Waves. Just as O'fraiche has the base notes of Bergamust.Although I know some of you wont whole heartedley agree with that. Definitley unisex that may lean a tad feminine on the account of the fruitiness. Final: 7.5/10

Testing notes: Great tension/balance in the opening. The fruitiness of the pear, melon, and banana is tempered by the edge of the citrus and the darker foundation of patchouli, cedar, and other elements still to be articulated. But, after the first hour it becomes unpleasantly urinous on my (non pulse-point) skin. So far, a bummer of a development after the nice opening. The warmer spots on skin, though, it's better-balanced, but a lot weaker already. After 4 hours, the strength on non pulse-points remain quite strong, but the urinous quality has receded to find balance again. On my wrists right now, it's barely a skin scent.

It’s bright and zingy like a sweet bubbly beverage. It’s plenty of pear, banana, some melon, a tiny bit of tropical floral, also a substantial amount of citrus. It’s very fresh and an amazing fruity, juicy fragrance with a bit of salty dry driftwood in the back. It’s very fun and playful like a 70’s cocktail party. After about 3 or 4 hours the driftwood really amp’s up and completely takes over on my skin. The only fruity notes left are citrus.

Nine times out of ten I hate pear as a note in perfumery - I guess balancing it with banana is what gets me to like it. This is amazing, and while I can smell the banana if I'm looking for it, if I'm not it really just blends with the pear and makes the pear come off to me as closer to a real, freshly sliced pear than that "pear note" you usually get in fragrances. Can't imagine why they discontinued this, glad to have found a bottle.

People get preview samples for review or are in retail. Why do people not understand that? I’m a doctor - we often see new drugs and receive samples before they are available to patients. Car magazines get their hands on new models before they git the showrooms. Fashion writers often have clothes or accessories at least one season before they are available to the public. It is not rocket science...

If you really like pear, this is it. I get pear, melon and banana.. Its strong. Its different. all in all.. you smell like a fruit basket full of pears. Unisex... although it has a manly fresh vibe from a distance.

-Opens smelling fruity and green. -Photorealistic, tart guava fruit that's freshly bought from the grocer's. -Maybe a tad too tart...I wouldn't want to wear this but it could make for a good linen spray. (-)

Today I tried my sample of Perfecto. I had my co-workers asking me all day what I was wearing. Perfecto is crisp and fruity, but also it is inviting and warm. Wonderful scent ! Teresa Vanderpool

I had to run to the bathroom to scrub this off. It smells like cannabis+ armpit sweat. You do you, but damn this one is bad

Anyone know if this has been discontinued? I don’t see it on Gallagher website...
