Tonkapeach

I was a little concerned about the mention of “puff pastry,” and cobbler, just because I do not care for bread-like or buttery notes at all, and I also was worried this might skew super gourmand. However, I find this to be much more traditional and old fashioned (in a good way) than I imagined. To me it’s less fruitchouli and more like a very pretty neo chypre, with a prominent and realistic juicy peach note, and a bit of a waxy, makeup accord, which I can’t quite account for, but it’s very nice. I think this would appeal to fans of older, classic fragrances such as Mitsouko. Also as a long time wearer of Gucci Rush, this appealed to me very much. This is not as lactonic, nor as prominent on the patchouli, but Rush sprang to my mind all day when I wore it. This could be Rush’s younger cousin. Edited: wore the sample for 5 days before pulling the trigger on a FB. I like it more every day! This is so freaking good, and the company is absolutely lovely.

The review beneath me is correct this is much like tonkazure but a peach version instead of blueberry. It’s a sweet, juicy, fuzzy peach with champagne on the side and tonka and a tiny smidge of patchouli at the bottom. I also get black current in both of these fragrances. This is almost boozy & jammy like a peach pie with a bit of brandy. The opening is far less jarring on this one than Tonkazure. There’s a weird thing with both of these for me in that there are times when something smells sour and off. I think it’s the champagne because champagne sometimes does this in real life for me. But it only happens sometimes. 90% of the time these are absolutely mouthwatering. I’m not joking these can make me actually salivate a little. I got a full bottle of this and the more I wear it the more I love it. It’s so peachy, so sweet, the tonka base is delicious! If you want a peach gourmand I highly recommend this. 🍑🍑🍑🍑💛💛💛💛

The most photorealistic peach I’ve ever smelled! Peach, warm skin, the aromatic top floral facets of peach, florals, a dry and beautiful patchouli anchor in the base, a soft and clean vanilla holding up the light sweetness. The champagne keeps this from being cloying. It isn’t Mitsouko, or rather, it’s Mitsouko brought into 21st century - sweeter, brighter, rich and deep. Mitsouko is as much about the melancholy woods in fall as spice and the opening peach is a very light wash suggesting everything isn’t the dying sun. Tonkapeach is an early summer day in Georgia with peaches everywhere, sun, champagne, parties. Mr. Gallagher is so gifted as a perfumer of joy. Even in his more somber fragrances (September) as he acknowledges the dying fields he finds maple syrup, light, the woods at noon. Tonkapeach is truly joyful.

Recently I have these reappearing olfactory memories about the perfume my mom used to have: Tresor by Lancôme. I remember these incredibly executed sugary peach notes but since that time the perfume was reformulated so I am looking for contemporary peach forward scent. Tonkapeach has very uplifting peach boozed with tonka notes. They merely developing and it’s staying as a fruit champagne for entire time. It doesn’t have anything dark or dramatic either. Also it’s so concentrated that it stayed on my hand for 2 days. Only thing that on the warm areas of my skin champagne note can become unpleasant. And that’s why I only use it on my wrists.

This is a delicious meaty ripe peach well surrounded with a beautiful and intense Tonka immersed in champagne. I can appreciate the black currant and the pastry accord (this is delicious). The flowers present themselves as a bouquet on my skin. The woods, the musk, and the patchuli round this beautiful amalgamation. Its sillage and performance in general are exquisite. It is sweet but not cloying. I do not own or have tried a perfume that reminds me of this scent. FRUTY/FLORAL: 10/10

Extremely addictive. I find it to be very bright fruity in the opening, juicy and vibrant with the champagne whilst the dry down is creamier and dense. It’s a beast in projection and it lasts all day. The Tonka and Sandalwood notes add up a great deal of depth to this. Patchouli is not as prominent here as the fruity accords. Unisex but imo it leans quite feminine. Great new release! It’s worth every penny. Rated it 5/5 for I am in love! 🥰

This is the first one I have tried from a discovery set, and wow, I love it. Such a beautiful peach smell. Can’t stop sniffing my wrists. Definitely want a full bottle of this glorious fragrance. My new peach favorite along with Heretic’s Dirty Peach.

This is a unique fluffy champagne peachy sweet scent! The initial spray and dried down I enjoy the coziness! I have never smelt something like this from perfumes. And I recalled my childhood favourite desert called Angel Delight!

Opens with a Bright, Effervescent Champagne cocktail made with peaches in syrup. It develops with the added warmth of brown sugar and depth of fuzzy musky sandalwood.

Sampling the latest release from the Pearlescent Collection (by Gallagher Fragrances), Tonkapeach, no doubt a follow-up the next-most-recent, the lovely and innovative Tonkazure (among my favorites of the line). Tonkapeach is fittingly very peach-forward, and in a lovely way, as peach is a note I find a bit challenging. But it largely has the tonka and peach combo down well—it’s fresh, juicy, sweet, and a touch powdery, resinous, and nutty, with added notes of champagne, puff pastry, patchouli, and musk. Overall it lands as a fresh, sweet, mostly-gourmand that’s quite pleasant and something that I like peach lovers especially will enjoy. It smells high-quality and carefully-considered, and it’s one I’ll likely revisit somewhat. Like the current Pearlescent Collection, Tonkapeach is priced at $125 for 60ml in extrait concentration, so even higher concentration and lower cost-per-ml than the main Gallagher Fragrances collection, already a great deal. Currently, it’s sold via the house site only but should be available at Perfumology and other boutiques that carry the brand. 7 out of 10

Exactly what it says it’d smell like, it’s a powdery peachy tonka. Surprisingly nice. Quite sweet, it reminds me of laughing gas, not necessarily in a bad way. A bit bubblegumy, I think it’s the blackcurrant. This note is a lot more prominent here than in Tonka Azure. This definitely doesn’t smell like any other fragrance I’ve smelled so far, I enjoy that it’s not generic. I’m quite impressed by the artistry of this house. I’m not completely sold on this now, but I see myself being more into it in a few more years.

I don't even normally like peach scents, but this one has such a nice addition of so many other notes that this one smells delicious! I can't compare to Tonkazure b/c I haven't smelled that one yet but I'm sure all of the reviews below me are spot on with their comparisons. I think this one and Peaches Revenge by Sarah Baker are the two best peach scents I've smelled so far.

This is a very very realistic peach scent with some powdery and tart notes. The first spray is peach with Champagne and a hug. As it dries down the vanilla and pastry accord peak out a bit. I will say out of all the peach scents I’ve gotten my nose on, this is one of the best peaches!

Juicy bright peach with added sparkling bubbles and warm buttery pastry crust! It just works!

This is pretty much just like Tonkazure, with added bright peach and a tiniest bit of that promised puff pastry and minus the super strong blueberry jam from Tonkazure. For me Tonkazure is too strong, even harsh, super feminine and overwhelming. Tonkapeach is way more gentle. With the wear, peach is not so bright anymore, but still present, but then the mid and base come through, with blackcurrant and other notes from Tonkazure. Performance is fine. It is nice, but nothing impressive and my hand would never reach for it, I'm pretty sure.

I wanted to love this, but it's too doll-head plasticy and synthetic. The search for a peach perfume continues...

This is really pushing the limits of what you could reasonably call "unisex" (wear what you want no matter who you are ofc - I'm wearing this right now) but it just smells so incredibly good that I don't care. I wouldn't quite say this is a photorealistic natural peach, imo, I get something more along the lines of peach candy - but the juiciest, highest quality peach candy you can think of. Everything sort of blends to contribute to that accord to my nose, after a while it loses some of the piercing fruitiness and dries into something breadier and more pastry-like while retaining the peachiness. Gives you a very nice and noticeable scent bubble for an 1 to 3 hours and persists as a skin scent for 10+. The whole Pearlescent line from Gallagher is amazing value for money if you're into the kind of scents they're offering.

This is such a nice, realistic peachy fragrance! I thought Tom Fords Bitter Peach was at the top when it came to peach fragrances but let me tell you, it's plump, mouthwatering and has a sweet, adequate quality to it! It reminds me of Angel by Thierry Muglar in the drydown which I'm still in love with! Very fulfilling sweetness till the end! Warm, yet frothy and airy at the same time.
