Dream Woods

The fragrance per se is beautiful and is a Passepartout that can be used basically on all occasions and all-around (except during hot summer days). It is creamy, sweet, aromatic(it has been well-described by most of the users below) but...but...after 15 minutes it doesn't project anymore(but it does last), even if it has been sprayed on fabrics. I hung out this morning, quite a chilly day nonetheless, and I could not smell it unless I dove my nose into the crook of my arm, which is quite unusual for me and not nice to see in public. Usually, my nose is like a gas detector(pardon my hyperbole), but this morning I was able to smell the asphalt, the soil, which perfume the people passing next to me were wearing, the smell of a squirrel eating an acorn 5 meters far from me(ok, not that one), but I was not able to smell my perfume, and that's quite a shame for such a great composition. I usually do not complain about performance and, depending on which occasion I wear them, about fragrances that sit close to my skin. Besides, I do not care if people can smell my perfume or not because I wear it for myself, and not to please people around me and get "compliments", but Dream Woods is really hard to detect. I own liquid soaps that last and project much more than this one from my hands. The good thing is that I cannot offend anyone because they cannot sense it...Anyway, I will keep using it(and probably rebuy it) because I love it(it is one of my favorite perfumes), but I would like to smell it from a decent distance without acting weird.

Bought the whole lineup. Ashton knocked it out of the park. EVERY SINGLE FRAGRANCE in his whole lineup is a home run. WELL DONE! The presentation is top notch. Bottle is heavy, the cap, love the cloth inside the box, everything. I love the name as well! It’s much better than something stupid like “fragrance One, date for man, etc.” *rolls eyes* This was the first bottle I opened. After examining the whole setup, I sprayed my hand and..... I must admit... I was slightly disappointed at first. I smelled JPG ultra male at the VERY FIRST SNIFF. Couple of things: I am not a huge fan of ultra male. Another popular YouTuber made a fragrance that smells like just ultra male. And I immediately thought “Ugh. He’s making a bunch of clones?” After a short while, the ultra male smell dissipates and you’re left with all the other wonderful notes. It smells so damn good. I was so relieved. None of his lineup smells cheap. It smells like nice expensive perfumes unlike all that cheap popular designer fragrances out there. The lingering notes smell unlike any other fragrance I have or smelled. Employees and friends rated this very high. Not their favorite. But excellent fragrance. After being so impressed with ashtons whole lineup, I will buy every fragrance he makes. Literally not one fragrance is bad. Definitely top three favorite fragrance brands now. Is it a safe blind buy? HELL YES! If you bought the whole lineup for that HUGE discount? 100%!!!!! Even without the discount, I’d gladly pay full price. Seriously... well done!

I got lucky on the timing with this fragrance. Initially I bought Dream Woods, Dusk to Dawn, and Shades of Seduction because of the deal from the Galleria Parfums close down sale. I couldn't buy the others because they were already sold out. Once I got the sample of Dream Woods and tried it for a day, I checked back to try and buy another bottle and found that it was sold out! That sucks, hopefully it'll come back again, but who knows since I got this from the business closing down. Dream Woods is exactly as its name implies. It's dreamy, smooth, and woody. It radiates off of the skin like butter. I wish this projected more, but it's so good that it does not matter. It projects for about maybe 4 hours before becoming a softer scent afterwards. With longevity I get maybe 8-9 hours. I'm not too familiar with the notes, but it's very bright in the beginning with a fruity sweetness, that I enjoy very much in the air. On skin it's nice, but this smells a lot better in the air. Then it mellows down and you have this woodiness blending with that fruit sweetness to become something like dreamy woods. Then you get a nice skin woody ending. I'm VERY happy about this purchase and definitely could not have expected a better blind buy lol. I hope this isn't the end of the fragrance.

It's interesting to see how many of us purchased this fragrance during the Galleria Parfums going out of business sale. Anyone who followed GentsScents during the past two years probably knew of GP's fragrances. Many, if not most, didn't purchase them because they were very over-priced at around $200 per bottle. Like many here I acquired all seven at $51 per bottle and given the quality and performance of the products that would have probably have been a good price to market them at from the onset. Dream Woods is my favorite of the seven and well worth $51, still not worth $200, and is truly an amazing fragrance. The name suits this fragrance perfectly. It is a fresh, creamy, sweet but not too sweet, woodsy, and not heavy. It remains light even with its darker fruit, wood notes, and creaminess make up. I could wear this anytime of year, except summer, and for any occasion. If you can find a bottle, reasonably priced, I'd suggest picking one up.

Opens very fruity. Not quite one I recognize, so I’m assuming it the mix of citrus, fig, and quince. This fruit accord is quite sweet to my nose and creamy (not fresh or sharp). Very unisex. Within ten minutes the fruit is matched by sweet vanilla/tonka accord. I get minimal woods even in the mid despite the name. More a masculine vanilla. Nor do I find the lavender and cardamom very prominent (despite others votes here). However, they do jump out if I’m comparing it to cognac cafe or any other scent that exhausts my vanilla scenting ability. When I come back, the rich spicy vanilla is almost like a smoother Sauvage elixir (read peppery lavendar) minus licorice. So if you like the sweet fruits that start juicy and steadily darken combined with a rich spicy vanilla then this might be for you. It’s like a wintertime and mature take of Chanel AHS DNA to me. Overall very smooth and well blended.

Okay, I love this! By The Yuzu Grove and Sweet Seduction were my two 8/10 favs of the line, but Dream Woods leaps to the top. Definitely a niche quality fragrance. In the opening, it reminds me of Mancera's Black Gold, but as BG starts to dry down into unisex floral teritory, Dream Woods comes on with its fig and nutmeg, keeping it more masculine thru the mid and beyond. There is a bit of sweet here from the tonka and vanilla, but not enough for me to say this is a sweet fragrance. Honestly, if this came in a PDM bottle I would not have been surprised. Kudos to Bertrand D and the line for producing a superb blend. Three season versatile. This is not a loud fragrance but performance is good on my skin after 4-5 sprays. Good longevity. Buy a bottle. Buy 2.

Dream Woods certainly lives up to its name. Creamy and dreamy, this is impressive from start to finish. It's mainly sweet, but the woody and floral notes are prominent during the middle phase. Featuring cardamom, ginger, figure, lavender, and ambergris to name a few, this is projects well and lasts a while. This is well-crafted, true signature worthy, but for me I would rather save this for date nights / a night in with my lover. I would not blind buy unless you're well-versed with the notes, but I would buy the full bottle if you like it, especially if you can get it discounted. Rating: 9/10

The best of the line. Opening/mid is a sparkling citrus that's lovely and unique which turns fruity and almost tropical. The woodiness comes out as it dries down into a woody vanilla/ambergris mix that's very enjoyable. Long lasting, good projection. This is a good one.

This is easily a favorite from this house. Very high quality lavender is used here and the woods blended here is very calming. Performance is not that good though. I have a full bottle bought at 55% discount and i put 2 sprays before bedtime and it smells amazing tbh

This is my favorite one from the line. Honestly I had a budget for 4 frags from them. Picked this one because the bottle was a pretty color. (Silly reason I know) I didn't expect this one to be the best one in the line. There's something about this one.

It's a fairly linear fragrance. It reminds me of a "grown up" version of Ultra Male. Take the same essence of Ultra Male, drastically tone down the fruity sweetness, mix in a little Grand Soir, and you have Dream Woods.

Smells like a dupe of Aaron Terence Hughes Daddy. Daddy is one of the greatest frags I've ever smelled. Got this for $51 and the atomizer broke on the 2nd use. Bye bye Galleria

All About Vanilla. Creamy, not-too-sweet vanilla, freshened up with clean lavender and juniper berries, & spiced lightly with cardamom, all supported by a light woody base. Creamy, clean, vanillic, lavendery, lightly-sweet, cheerful. No overt citrus notes but the scent is bright & cheerful, and that could be the citrus' doing. Tonka beans are voted highly but it doesn't have that generic tonka beans note you find in so many masculine Armani releases. The tonka beans here are vanillic and add to that light, woody, slightly-sandalwoody base. Think of Dream Woods as if it was inspired by Pour Un Homme de Caron (PUHdC). It is in that same fresh, clean vanilla scents as PUHdC and PDM Layton. A nice modern take on the classic vanilla/lavender combo PUHdC popularized. The toned down sweetness makes it accessible even to those who are not fans of gourmand fragrances. Unisex, leans masculine with that clean lavender note. Neutral-to-cool weather wear. Big "Like"!

A favorite offering from Galleria and their most versatile. This is a masterwork that makes an impact like Bleu de Chanel. A compliment getter; it's a vibrant, rich, fresh scent with gourmand qualities. Dream Woods opens with a citrus and ginger that's uplifting and soothing. Like the best niche fragrances it delivers a journey. There is a warmth present from beginning to end. The woods, vanilla and spices lend some sophistication. The sweetness is just enough to make it addictive and charge the brain with pleasure. The dry down has complexity. There is something meditative that can create a confident state of mind and transport you. A young woman was caught up in the sillage five feet away and was compelled to talk to me about what I was wearing. I wore it on a cool afternoon but it could work for night. It's laid back but a little romantic. This is quality perfumery that have you smelling great and won't let you down.

My third try of Galleria Parfums is Dream Woods, a sweet, woody, semi-sharp mix of lavender, citruses, spices, tonka, ambergris, a couple wildcards of juniper and ginger. It opens fairly loudly with more of the sharpness by dries down to lean creamier and slightly sweeter, still with a semi-powdery aspect of the very prominent tonka, the standout note on my skin, albeit with a still sort of floral/woody/fruity background to the tonka. It vaguely reminds me of Navitus Parfums’ Intimus at times, mostly in terms of style and approximation and not as far as being a dead ringer. Dream Woods is quite nice, sort of a year-round, versatile but provocative mix that feels perfectly unisex. The pricing is $205 for 100ml in parfum concentration, the same for the brand’s initial seven releases, and Dream Woods performs quite well, projecting for some hours on skin but still being dense thereafter. 7 out of 10

Like many others I picked this up on the closing sale for around $50. For that price this fragrance is an absolute steal! I would place the quality and performance generally on par with Mancera. It starts with a sweet, somewhat fruity blast that at first can seem a little disjointed. But after 10-15 minutes it really starts to fall into place and the blend starts to shine. After it sits for a few minutes I get the warm cardamom, woods, and tonka, along with a little spice. It has a somewhat of a chocolatey vibe to it. It's soft around the edges and comforting, and could be a great date night scent. After 2-3 hours the vanilla and tonka come out stronger, and the cardamom and spices fade. Overall it's a really solid cold weather fragrance, but the original asking price of ~$200 was too high. I would say that around $100-125 this is still a solid option.

This pretty much checks all my boxes for a curl-up-with a book fragrance. I enjoy it a lot. Purple bottle is the right mood/representation. It is unisex in my opinion. Spices and woods, vanilla and juniper come through most in my perception. Not a beast but I think it would catch some compliments. Such a terrific blend which is often not the case with so many different notes. I just found out decants are available at decanthouse.com. Might have to have more after my discovery set is gone. Also, the discovery set from Galleria is very nice--good quality atomizers and nice packaging...

I just picked this up as Galleria Parfum is closing down. A full bottle for $51 was a steal! What do I think? The opening is outstanding! Such a great fruity scent that then transforms Into creamy scent of juniper, vanilla and woods. I just got it today, so I will come back and update the longevity and Sillage info. Right now, I am very happy to have been able to grab this Extrait de Parfum for the low low. Btw...this smells nothing like JPG Ultra Male. It's half the sweetness, less in your face with woods and Juniper Berry.

Back in January I said I didn’t want a bottle despite enjoying the sample. But then the deep discount came when galleria was going out of business. I bought two bottles thinking I might sell one but now I bet I’ll keep both. Been enjoying this so much. If the notes float your boat and you can find a decant go for it!

I am adding to my review only to agree with those who said this scent does not project we’ll at all. That keeps me from wanting a bottle I’m afraid.
