Dusk to Dawn

A better version of Dior Ambre Nuit. Galleria's take on sweet amber. Amber (not ambergris), sweetened with vanilla, spiced up with warm cardamom, and weighed down with resinous myrrh. The patchouli adds a subtle warm greenness in the background. Sweet, ambery, warm, lightly-spicy, resinous. Sprayed on skin, Dusk to Dawn as a more animalic and incensy opening that fades away minutes later. It is that opening that make people compare it to Memo African Leather. The comparison to A*Men Pure Malt are also true given they both share a very similar sweet accord. This is the 4th fragrance from Galleria Parfums that his that notable sweet vanillic accord. The other 3 are Moving Times, Shades of Seduction, and Dream Woods. So, a similarity between these 4 exists but they are different overall. Dusk to Dawn smells a lot like a very underrated affordable fragrance called Ambre Noir by Adnan B (<$35 per 100ml bottle). That same sweet, resinous, lightly-spicy, amber scent with a shade of patchouli. So if you are deterred by the price of Dusk to Dawn, try that one. Of note, Dusk to Dawn is one of the fragrances that smell significantly different on skin vs on blotter. It smells deeper and richer on skin. Overall, this is a good and classy amber fragrance from Galleria Parfums. Mature and elegant. Fans of amber will really love this one. A cool weather, masculine wear. Big "Like".

I suspect the low rating is due to this being a YouTuber's fragrance, rather than a statement on the quality itself. This is easily a niche quality fragrance that can hang with the best, and everyone who has smelled this on me has loved it. A word on maceration - I have found these Galleria fragrances really need to be sprayed a few times and then sit for a couple weeks. All of mine improved after they had some time to sit. This has elements of Layton among other warm resinous notes, and a nice underlying sweetness that comes across a bit chocolatey to my nose. At first spray it's a little too sweet and in-your-face, but give it 5-10 minutes and it really starts to come together. I get more tobacco, patchouli, and resins than leather. The florals and sage are light but just there enough to give the fragrance a bit of brightness. Overall this is one of my favorite fall/winter fragrances and I can't recommend it enough!

Very impressed with this one..received the sample box..sprayed all of them on test strips..this one at first sniff was my least favorite..I was wrong after testing it I'm really loving it, nice touch of floral nuances and tobacco. Great job Ashton and the perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour. High quality and very good performance. No choice to buy a full bottle.

Sampling Galleria Parfums Dusk to Dawn, a mostly spicy mix with hints of citruses, florals, woods, tobacco, leather, and vanilla, very agreeably put together in a way that seems fairly familiar and versatile while also sophisticated and high-end. Despite some sweet and resinous hints, it’s mostly a dry spicy mix with interesting nuances of clary sage, vetiver, and mixed florals (lily of the valley, peony) to add some character. Of the fragrances from this house that I’ve tried so far, Dusk to Dawn is most in the vein of Victorian Tobacco, a sort of spicy blend with tobacco and fresh/sweet hints that smells of a modern men’s signature scent. It also hints at Frapin Speakeasy, but less sweet and with less of a boozy vibe. Dusk to Dawn is very nicely put together, and is probably my second favorite from the line after Victorian Tobacco, a real nice offering that I’ll have to give some more wears, perhaps side by side with Victorian Tobacco. Like the rest of the line, it is priced at $205 for 100ml in extrait concentration and performs quite well, fittingly. The $2 / ml range in independent perfumery is reasonable in my opinion and, like Victorian Tobacco, Dusk to Dawn is a fragrance that could be worn in many situations and it has value in that respect. 7 out of 10

This is not my fav of the line. Again, niche quality. However, to my nose there are two notes that argue up front. I think the sage is amped in this and doesn't quite get along with another player. This does get better as it matures. After half an hour, the leather, myrrh and vanilla come up to mellow things out. And this is where the fragrance stays for me: a pleasant suede leather with some underlying botanicals and vanilla. Not at all overpowering but good longevity. Not a wild night out choice, but good for dinner or movie with friends. A nice guy fragrance.

The opening for this one can definitely make someone say "OH No" but stick with it. I tried the whole line and this one became my favorite and I thought it would be my least favorite...BTW the entire line is high quality good stuff. The journey this fragrance will give you is really amazing and the name is very fitting.

Dusk to dawn—very nice fresh spicy scent for about an hour, followed by warm and cozy but does not last very long.

It is very close to African Leather by Memo, and I happen to like African Leather so I am happy with it.

It's in the same ballpark as Coach for Men, Prada l'Homme, and YSL LNDL. With the cardamom in the opening, it's almost like an office friendly YSL LNDL but with a prominent, but not overpowering leather note thrown in. In short, take some YSL LNDL, throw in a dash of Prada l'Homme, and sprinkle some leather on it, and you've got Dusk to Dawn. Once it dries down the leather and tobacco fade into the background and you've got another sibling in the "What is the least offensive fragrance I can wear?" family.

This smells weird to me. Scent profile this fragrance to me smells like a brand new suitcase with that factory smell sprayed with citrus spray. The leather note is very prominent in this fragrance smells like as mentioned the factory suitcase smell or canal street faux leather wallet.

Had heard so many good things about this, though mostly from YouTubers who got free samples from Ash, who they probably wouldn't want to annoy. This is a confusing scent, which I think reflects an attempt to be too many things: a warm amber (a very popular note), unisex (to double the number of potential customers), and innovative (to earn the "niche" label). But the amber is overly fruity, the sage gives this a mucilage glue aspect, and the peony/cyclamen/LOTV combination pushes this into decidedly feminine territory. The strong patchouli combined with a hefty vanilla and the floral note mentioned above steer this into "cloying" territory. If the sage, patchouli and florals were toned down, and the purported leather and cedar notes were boosted, this might have a better balance, but this is thick, sweet, feminine and leans middle eastern. Not saying that this isn't bad, and from the other reviews it is clear that some people really like it. But it doesn't work for me, and given the sub-4 average rating, it seems like I am not alone.

I hate this. Reminds me of Black Orchid or Fucking Fabulous in that it's too loud, dense, confusing, and disjointed to be appealing to me in any way. This was not made for me. Review of official trial size spray sample from discovery set.

I smelled a sample and it's veryyyyyyy animalistic in the opening, smells like a wild horse to me...

Not seeing a lot of the comparisons being made, here. Less spicy than African Leather, less floral-rosy and resinous than Ambre Nuit, and not even remotely close to Pure Malt (that came outta left field...). The florals add a really intriguing dimension to it without smelling like petals, and the tobacco/myrrh combo adds an enticing fruitiness to the scent. That's backed by a slightly dusty-smoky leather note that I keep going back for. In the far dry down, the vanilla comes out and sweetens things up a bit, lending a new dimension to a fragrance that changes continuously over the course of a wearing. A total surprise from the line, because I didn't expect to like this and it ended up being one of my favorites. Very glad I have it. Unexpected versatility, too. But I'd advise against rocking it in high heat. Really nice scent.
