I happened to pop into this shop in London and met Nick, the owner, who was such a lovely person to talk to. I've been on a hunt for a good tea perfume for almost 2 years.I've gone through so many that claim to smell "just like green tea" but I find myself always smelling citrus with slight hints of tea, or soapy clean citrus. Ethereal Wave by Liis is one of those perfumes that's touted to be just like a cup of tea. And while it's lovely, it's not what I've been looking for. Dubai is different. When I first smelled this my eyes lit up. This is what tea leaves smell like. The first note I got was that lovely Jasmine, followed by a dry, slightly bitter note that's just like loose leaf green tea. It's so refreshing. I wouldn't say this perfume is very sweet, it's clean like a fresh shower. Hints of sweetness that are not overpowering. I could easily see this as a masculine scent as well. I bought a travel size so I could try the perfume on my skin at home. On my skin I got a little bit more sweet freshness from the pear, and again that amazing jasmine green tea leaf smell. I'm soooo happy with this perfume and I'll definitely be buying a full bottle.
