Lushious Joe

Luscious Joe is wonderful ! Definitely unisex, since it's not too sweet. Doesn't smell like booze either. The whisky, cognac and coffee liquor notes are extremely high end, smooth, rich, with no alcohol smell. Expertly blended, with deep strong black coffee that stays very noticeable throughout the dry down. The musk is silky, hardly noticeable but it's just enough to makes this scent last more than 12 hours on my skin, with consistently moderate projection. The juniper berries lend a natural sweetness, so there's no maple syrup, no sugar or pastry smell to this mixture at all. I find Ganache perfumes wear and project best on warmed skin. These scents cling to fabrics and last in my hair forever. I love One Legged Joe, too, but probably wouldn't wear it in high summer heat because it's so intensely sweet. But Luscious Joe is more versatile, as it can be worn by anyone, anywhere, any time, in any weather, all year round. And yes, as shushkin said, it really does smell like a very posh coffee shop !

Mmmmm.... Lushious Joe - one of my favorites from this line. I get deep rich coffee in the opening as well as some of the liquor and musk. I'm not good enough to know the differences in the scent of most liquors, so whatever ones are there are pleasant. There's sweetness in this coffee, you have to love sweetness to enjoy this. I have Lushious Joe, Mama Joe, and One-Legged Joe, all of which are really good gourmands, they all wear well. I get at least 8 hours out of each of them and the scents linger on clothing for days. They are all unisex and all better in cold weather, autumn or winter. My bottle is from 2017 and smells just as delicious now as it did when I first got it. Very well done.

Mmm...yum. It's a delicious coffee liqueur. I don't actually drink alcohol except for a cocktail on New Years eve. This is really good, unisex and not overly sweet. Again this is quite a linear scent. A simple scent but vibrant. Longevity and sillage are moderate. I could imagine wearing this on a crisp autumn day. I don't have a problem smelling like a posh coffee shop lol

I own bottles of both Mama Joe and Lushious Joe. There is a lot of overlap between the two. And you have to really (and I mean really) like sweet, gourmand scents to wear either of these. In my mind they are both fall/winter scents. Mama Joe has the better opening which is brief combination of coffee liqueur and dark chocolate that quickly fades to coffee and amber. Lushious Joe starts out even sweeter but has the better finish, which combines coffee, whiskey and juniper, which gives it a slight floral edge. I can't see myself wearing either of these regularly, but I enjoy them when I'm in the right mood.
