S.O.C.K.S

I bought this, plus "Lemon Pop" and "Silver Couture," during Ganache's liquidation sale, and this was the perfume I was most eager to try. I kept wondering what the combined scent of orange and chili pepper would be like, and now I know: it's beautiful. Right out of the bottle, this smelled like orange soda, but without the stickiness typical of soda. Just lovely fizz. Already the buyer's remorse was leaving. On skin, this was fizzy orange (orange boosted by soft musk) with an underlying spiciness, or "kick." The notes say it's chili pepper, but to my nose it smells much more like cayenne pepper. So for the first hour it's fizzy orange and orange zest over cayenne, and after that the cayenne fades away and seems to be replaced by soft, sweet raspberry. (I get no rose at all.) It's wonderful. There is one drawback, though: longevity, or lack thereof. This hardly lasts three hours on skin. What is it with my favorite perfumes barely lasting?! I bet if there was neroli or orange blossom in this it would last longer (like Clean's "Acqua Neroli, which lasts 12 hours). But I'll keep spraying, because I love this.
