Starfish & Coffee

Wow, love this, so unusual. Makes me smile and cheers me up to wear it. And of course, the Prince song plays in my head as the soundtrack to my day. Lasts and lasts, I even smell it on my clothes the next few days,which never normally happens for me. Sweet coffee notes and lasts ages - longer than any other perfume I have. Good silage too, which, again , doesn’t often happen for me, and I enjoy this aspect of it. Lots of nice compliments when wearing this too, along the lines of - what’s that lovely smell, what are you baking?, that smells yummy. Def gourmand. It’s not subtle, at all, it kinda punches me in the face, but in a good way! one to wear and enjoy at home on lockdown. Or maybe when out for a fun day out with the girls. This isn’t a perfume for a job interview! I love that I can keep smelling it on myself all through the day, no top ups required. Def a fav of mine. Mostly coffee, but I can smell all the things mentioned in the song - even the butterscotch clouds! Tangerine, and maybe ham... but more like crispy bacon like you get with pancakes and maple syrup in a diner with a strong black coffee. Reminds me of holidays in Canada, and lazy long brunches. Fantastic memories! I’ll be back to Gourmand perfumes to check out their other offerings for sure.

I take exception to the crispy fried bacon note being listed simply as "meat". NO! It's BACON people, not just "meat". Starfish & Coffee is the smell of IHOP, Waffle House or Denny's on Sunday morning when the grill has pounds of bacon frying, the coffee is brewing and pancakes with maple syrup are being served. Diners not eating pancakes are enjoying toast with strawberry jam. While this would be an appetite enhancing room spray I can say unequivocally that I truly enjoy wearing this and having its delicious aroma wafting around me whether I'm wearing it morning, noon or night. Compliments galore too, I might add. Coworkers smile and sniff me as do those in line behind me in stores. Starfish & Coffee is my beloved One Legged Joe with a triple order of crispy bacon with maple syrup poured over it. I smell deliciously edible and I love it!

Such a unique example of gourmand. Recently acquired a bottle of Starfish and Coffee thanks to my research skills and a sweet, Polish lady on OLX. This is almost impossible to find but I am glad I did because it really is outstanding. Starts of as the sweetest syrup and white chocolate with espresso coffee. After 10-20 minutes, the sweetness fades away and you are left with that same cup of coffee alongside a plate of smoked, pink ham. So yummy. This is also veryyy strong, almost unbearable if you spray too much. The fragrance lingers and all my friends smelled it instantly. My friend described it as meat and coffee and another guy said something sweet. This has become a favourite of mine and I cannot wait to wear it around more of my friends so I can see how it is perceived from other people. I am in love.

Wow. This is what Black Opium should have been. Coffee, rich and warm, with warm maple syrup and salty notes. As if you were sitting on a little patio over looking the sea having your breakfast and coffee. The air is warm and sweet, the sun is shining, and all is right with the world. This is utterly delicious. Note: I get no bacon. July 2019 Update: This has become one of my most worn fragrances. Two sprays lasts all day and is so easy to wear and beautiful. A real winner.

There is no meat note in this, I genuinely don't know why that's in the notes list. This is pure pancakes, maple syrup, and coffee.
