Vainilla Oscura

This scent is challenging for me. Historically, I have struggled with spice notes. Youth Dew smells, to a degree, like lady parts on me after a while. It's not unpleasant, just very earthy and with a slight salty quality. Vainilla Oscura channels Youth Dew, but updates it for 2020. VO is sweeter, but has the same spice. I agree with others that this is unisex. The spices dominate the first few hours of this fragrance. It is slightly powdery, and smells a little like vanilla coke for a while. As it wears, it becomes sweeter and the vanilla really blossoms. The projection is intimate and no one will smell you through a mask unless you overspray, but longevity is major. Hubby wore it through a 10 hour shift and was still catching whiffs as we were going to bed last night. I think I will try this one out myself tomorrow and see how the spices do one my skin.

From the Ganache website: Dark Vanilla deep and mysterious with a hint of spice. Notes: Citron accord, spice accord, vanilla bean accord, vanilla cream accord, french vanilla accord, obligatory perfume accord. This was a blind buy a while ago, along with Marshmallow and Incense. Both have turned out to be in my favorites list. Upon the first spray, I get the lemon-lime of the citron on vanilla. Then the spices start to come around and it develops into the dark vanilla, as described by Ganache. Very unique to me. Longevity is really good, I'm at 8+ hours. Most of their perfumes last a long time. Sillage is moderate and I think it's unisex. I'd recommend this in autumn, winter, and early spring, any time of the day. I bought mine when the site was running a special 2 for 1, so it was a bargain.

Wearing this is like being wrapped in a warm, comforting embrace. Lasts all day. The dominant spices I get from this are nutmeg, cloves and allspice with hints of ginger and cinnamon, all simmering in that rich dark vanilla. Definitely unisex, in the very best way. Reminiscent of Dame’s Black Flower Mexican Vanilla, and a bit like Lira by Xerjoff. So glad I got a backup, because with Ganache you never know if it’ll be available when you want more!

I just love the opening of warm spicy vanilla. On me it merges with a little bit of masculine note(which I love). The dry down is more calm and sophisticated and still lovely. When I scent the fragrance I can see myself a cold night far up in the north, sitting in a rocking chair with a cosy blanket and drinking hot spicy chocolate. Longlivity 9/10.

This is a really pleasing vanilla leant more sophistication with some depth by the spice and citron. It is not just a foody vanilla, but interesting. Comforting, sexy, familiar and fun

This fragrance is lovely, a cosy creamy vanilla with a hit of spice that i am sure i will enjoy wearing this winter.
