Coconut Tuberose No. 821

I really hope Gap brings this fragrance back! I bought it the moment I smelled it, which I very rarely do. It's a very pleasant daytime scent, and it is one that wore all the time until I used up the bottle I had. Here's hoping it makes a comeback!

Beautiful and feminine, the coconut disappears quickly leaving behind lovely, lovely tuberose.I tested this while out one day and just had to go straight back to buy it!! Lasts quite well and great for everyday wear.

i agree, its not very coconuty the tuberose overpowers it but it smells amazing to me. i absolutely love this. the roller ball oil perfume is the best.

I recieved a bottle of this for free and had high hopes for it since I tend to love anything that contains coconut. I was sadly disappointed. There is no coconut smell that I can detect at all. Instead, there is that same plastic-y floral smell that almost all The Gap fragrances seem to have. It makes me immediately think "tween" smell. I'm certainly glad I didn't pay money for it and luckily my own tween loves it. She can have it!

I get zero coconut from this. Instead it is a bright, light floral that's very nice for hot weather. A bit high-pitched, in the way of Ralph Lauren's Romance, but I like it better than Romance (which turns to a kind of nasty soap on me). I wish it had a bit of sweetness to it, which I expected the coconut to provide, but to my nose it is completely absent.

I LOVE IT. Sweet and young and clean and soft. What can I say, I LOVE IT!!!

Gap Coconut Tuberose #821 definitely has the signature Gap "fragrance DNA": a light, airy, clean quality that is reminiscent of a "new clothing smell" and is like the scent of the actual store itself. I love tuberose and I love coconut. Together, they sound absolutely divine, don't they? The tuberose here is the foundation of this fragrance for sure. But unlike many other tuberose scents, it lacks a creamy quality and/or a "banana" quality. Instead, the tuberose is this composition is high-strung and squeaky clean. The coconut is present in a small dose and offsets the high-pitched brightness from the clean tuberose and the citrus. It adds just a hint of richness and grounds the fragrance. If you are seeking an unmistakable coconut, you should pass on this perfume. The lemon is very amplified on my skin. I hoped it would not be so noticeable. Citruses aren't my most-hated notes, but they are not my favorite. They simply don't work best with my chemistry. They tend to turn sour, sometimes even imitating body odor (Moschino's I Love Love). The lemon note in Coconut Tuberose is very disappointing for me because of how loud it is on my skin. This scent is probably best classified as a daytime/spring perfume. The longevity is moderate. Sillage I expect to vary a lot, depending on temperature and number of sprays. I am noticing that this scent lasts a long time on clothing. This seems like a good fragrance for layering with a coconut lotion or simple coconut perfume. In my case, doing so might balance out the loud citrus. I will definitely try. If this didn't have lemon, it would be very lovely. I have learned my lesson about getting rid of/selling my fragrances too fast. So many variables affect our sense of smell from day to day, month to month, and season to season. I will certainly give this perfume a fair chance at remaining in my collection.

Like many of you, I love the two main ingredients, and so I blind-bought this due to the cheap price for a big bottle online. Not a love but OK, much better in the drydown and very unisex (spouse is slathered, and I will see how it sat on him once we get home). There is a strong note that reminds me of Casual by Paul Sebastian -- what is that??? A sort of cashmeran maybe? The coconut is NOT sweet or sun-tan-lotiony here.

Though the name says "Coconut Tuberose", the coconut is not very dominant -- which I like. This is a light floral scent with a subtle hint of coconut. It is indeed very "trpoical" but not in an overtly Hawaiian Tropic kind of way. It is not heady nor cloying. Love the drydown although I wish it lasted longer. It is just right for everyday use, and is pleasant for the workplace. Will use this for a very long time.

I bought a bottle of this for about $5 at a Gap Outlet store and it far exceeded my expectations. The tuberose is not a potent tuberose like Fracas but vaguely tropical. Mixed with the coconut, it smells like expensive suntan lotion - a vacation in a bottle. It is a sweet coconut and does not last long after application but for $5 it was a bargain that reminds me of a Frederick Malle Carnal Flower knock-off.

I had EDT sample. My first try from contact with this company. Nice smell tuberose on the lead ... Very on the lead. For a day, a small background peach and a lemon .... Even less, but it does not hurt, generally held about 5 - 8 hours. Average, but good. If anyone try it, do,though i heard its discontinued.
