Gap Established 1969 for Women

Unfortunately, GAP stopped selling fragrances in their Canadian stores in the early 2010s. Since then, I've come across a couple "1969" (F) fragrances that are definitely not at their peak performance. One of these purchases was straight up alcohol. The second had a broken cap and also smelled a little off. The third seems watered down, almost like a ultra EDT but its still similar to what it was before. There's a feeling of coldness, like brisk mountain air mixed with petrichor and natural woodsiness/minerals. But it remains fresh and full of sunshine at the top. A bit soapy, woody, fresh. Something about it feels so invigorating and powerful -and quite different from anything I've ever smelled before & much more than your average "citrus". True unisex imo- with ever so slightly masculine undertones. Oh how I wish it was still available. GAP makes some amazing fragrances. They are missing out on the increasingly growing market of fragrance. 🥲

Just picked this randomly today, my bottle must be 15 years old at least, and WOW it's still so zingy and effervescent, I love it. It starts off with a grapefruit blast that doesn't lean towards body odour thanks to the grounding musk, I think. Just so affable, cheery and easy to wear. A wonderful summer spritz. Definitely worth picking up if you come across a vintage bottle somewhere.

Like it very much! Super clean and refreshing scent, reminds laundry soap a little. Long lasting, sillage is moderate to heavy, a plus among Gap frags. Extremely nice choice for hot humid summer days. Wears prettier in warm weather, it'll develop and project more.

Now I smell like a detergent and it also dries down to a manly scent.it feels like I want to puke eveytime I use this but since I dont like to waste money I will still use it on very hot humid days.

A decent fragrance at a decent price. It is a bit soapy but has a light basenote of Oud which i really like.

Soapy and fresh.This perfect for a humid weather.

Too harsh with the alcohol. It lingers on the skin like you've been given a really powerful antibacterial gel to use on your hands at a hospital, that powerful it lingers on you till you get home and you smell that bad you think you're still there. It's very clean too clean. Disinfects those nostril hairs it does

A light inoffensive citrus musky scent with some added agarwood , bamboo and of course musk...lots ! It is fresh sporty, has a tiny little masculine touch in the opening but so little you can't speak of a masculine vibe all over. But just like the molecule eccentric ones , this could be unisex, yes. As well as resembling that line, this also have something from Rodriguez Essence and Burberry's The Beat wich also have cardamon added. I first tried this in a Swedish departement store, but when I decided to add it my collection , the"ve run out of stock. Did see a fellow Fragrantican wearing it and I managed to arrange a swap. Thanks Miguel for letting me have it ! This is a freshen up perfume, not overall heavy but so on the musk note. You have to take musk and also powder, as this gets quite powdery. I am really enjoying it, easy to wear for me as a daytime perfume but I bet you can wear it for a night time dating scent too, its sexy clean as freshness appeal to many. I would love to get hold of another bottle, but as you read there are other similar alternatives !

My sister has this one and wow!!! it smelled green, green, green! after the first half hour. I guess citrus can smell like that. For me its down to taste, for those who like it fantastic, but its not for me. However, an innocuous fragrance, sillage is strong and the clarity of the perfume is always a plus.
