Heart

I have Heart in the solid perfume stick format and it's quite lovely. Nothing groundbreaking, nothing too sexy or daring, but it's a perfect casual/comfort scent, especially in the solid format. It's a floral woody musk, to be sure. I don't really smell the citrus notes in there at all and it's borderline powdery at times. Great for office, school, situations in which you'll be sharing close space with others--a good "easy reach" scent. I almost wish it had a little more oomph, but after wearing a while, I find it is perfect as-is. The most magical thing about it is that Heart is also a "layering genie." Layered under or over other scents as needed, it softens sharp edges, muffles a too-loud or screechy scent, helps an ethereal little scent hang on a little longer, etc. Very nice overall.

I wanted to try this one for nostalgia's sake as this was part of the Transparencies set of fragrances from Garden Botanika (Soul, Heart, Purity, Mood, Spirit). The only one that is still in production today is Heart, which makes me sad b/c I think they would all be popular again now, if they were available. This one is nice to my nose is a fresh slightly citrus floral scent almost leaning in the soapy direction - no sweetness or gourmand notes here. I can't pick up any specific floral notes b/c I'm not too familiar with how specific florals smell (besides tuberose and lavender). The price is right USD 32.99 at Amazon. Definitely a good scent to wear in during the spring.

Heart by Garden Botanika has been a family member's signature scent for years if not decades & I like how it smells on her. It comes across as a light, clean floral, like fresh from the bath or shower She also likes it as she works in a medical setting and patients don't find it offensive.

Thank you for adding this! Garden Botanika was such a fun store to shop in, in the 90s. In the earlier part of the 00s I would get their products on their website. More recently they were bought out by Ziddle, and currently their products (the few that are left) are on Amazon. Heart is one of their original scents from the late 80s. On Amazon the notes are listed as orange, gardenia, Jasmine, rose, cardamon, cedar and musk. I find it to be a crisp, 80s-90s style floral (not too spicy, not gourmand). A little reserved and perhaps “preppy”. Would go well with floral dresses & flats.

Summerberry was the best fragrance oil by garden botanika. It was an oil you could buy as is or custom make a product using it. It was super sweet berries scent.
